(Patrón de nuestra ciudad, Zaragoza). Toda esa semana anterior fue un caos en la emisora, con el equipo de emisión roto por completo. Trabajando un montón de horas para encontrar los problemas y poder repararlo cuanto antes. Al final Caja de Ritmos se pudo emitir, aunque casi un par de horas más tarde de lo habitual y sirvió de prueba de la reparación. Hoy hemos eliminado el comienzo ya que era inaudible (Se escuchaba fatal y no se entendía nada), teníamos pensado eliminar más del comienzo del programa, pero al final hemos decidido dejarlo así, con toda su esencia original. Y la verdad es que es un comienzo fuerte con Pastis & Buenri (empezando el día con muuuuchaaaa energía). Perdón por la distorsión de los primeros minutos. "What About this Love" Larry Heard (born 1960, Chicago, Illinois) is a DJ, record producer and musician, widely known for the Chicago-based house music he produced during the mid-1980s and continues to produce today. He was a leader of the influential group Fingers Inc.and has recorded solo under various names, most notably Mr. Fingers. "Move Your Body ". Marshall Jefferson (born, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American musician, working in house music, in particular, the subgenres of Chicago house and deep house. Sometimes known as the father of house music, Jefferson was originally a record producer in the Universal Recording Studios in Chicago, where he met the owner of Trax Records, Larry Sherman. Jefferson's 1986 single for Trax, "Move Your Body (The House-Music Anthem)," the first house song to use piano, was a popular and influential song in the genre. S'Express (pronounced ess-express; sometimes spelt S'Xpress or S-Express; otherwise known as Victim of the Ghetto) were a British dance music act from the late 1980s, who had one of the earliest commercial successes in the acid house genre. "Theme from S'Express", based on Rose Royce's "Is It Love You're After", was also one of the earliest recordings to capitalize on a resurgence of sampling Steve Hurley, produced a cover of "I Can't Turn Around" by Isaac Hayes, which sold well in the Chicago. Before Hurley could arrange to have the record licensed for overseas distribution, Farley managed to attach his own name to a European release of a slightly altered version of Hurley's track. The new version, "Love Can't Turn Around" by Farley "Jackmaster" Funk (vocals by Darryl Pandy), which reached #10 in the UK Singles Chart in 1986 "Your Love" Francis "Frankie" Nicholls (1955 – March 31, 2014), better known by his stage name Frankie Knuckles, was an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He played an important role in developing and popularizing house music in Chicago during the 1980s. In 1982, Knuckles was introduced to then-unknown Jamie Principle by mutual friend Jose "Louie" Gomez, who had recorded the original vocal-dub of "Your Love" to reel-to-reel tape. Louie Gomez met up with Frankie at the local record pool (I.R.S.) and gave him a tape copy of the track. Knuckles played Gomez's unreleased dub mix for an entire year in his sets during which it became a crowd favourite. Knuckles later went into the studio to re-record the track with Principle, and in 1987 helped put Your Love Adonis – "No Way Back" (1987) Adonis was 19 years old when he made the dystopian classic "No Way Back," one of Chicago house music's most iconic tracks. "No Way Back" was a smash hit for the Trax label; according to some estimates, the single sold over 100,000 copies. The lyrics made "No Way Back" sound effortlessly cool, and utterly terrifying. The stripped-down track, devoid of extraneous flourishes, still sounds ruthlessly modern. Bio  Maurizio Nari & Ronnie Milani met in 1996. Staring off their career playing at Italy's top clubs such as Hollywood in Milan, Prince in Riccione, and Vogue in Rome, they began creating productions such as "Gnor","Gnul", and "Sunshine & Happiness" featuring Darryl Pandy under aliases including Nerio's Dubwork and Unconditional, achieving the Billboard Charts hotspot and finally... launching the Nari & Milani project back in 2003. After conquering Italy, Nari & Milani went international and began touring di splaying their trademark DJ sets in some of the world's best clubs such as We Are Family in Moscow, Quantum in Dubai, and Club Maktum in Korea. Over the last decade the duo have remixed dance tracks for luminaries such as Rogez Sanches, Laidback Luke, and Axwell in addition to unleashing their own original productions through some of the best record labels in the industry including Bob Sinclars Yellow Prod, Robbie Riveras Juicy Music and Steve Angellos Size Records. Nari & Milanis Kendo is one of the biggest club bombs ever and gained early support from Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Chuckie, Hardwell, Tiesto, Sandern Van Doorn, Alesso, Bob Sinclar, Fatboy Slim, Eddie Halliwell, Laidback Luke, and numerous others. As many of you will agree some of the best nights the club has ever experienced were back in the days with these two DJ's, who independantly were and still are amazing, but when placed together on the one's and two's they would literally blow the roof off the club! I may have already mentioned what a great flat Andie and I shared in Bethnal Green. With a large living space it was perfect for big parties, and we had a few. Best of the best were our New Year’s Eve extravaganzas. ‘2001: A Spaced Odyssey’ was the biggest headline event I can remember. Andie’s room was earth, floodlit in green, mine was Mars in red, the hallway was a docking station and the main room was space. Everyone dressed up: gay space cowboys, a whole crew of Star Trek ensigns, monsters, aliens, the lot. Clearing up the day after we filled a box with toy ray guns.As with all the best parties, it was a joint effort. Ted designed the invite artwork, Paul, Andrew and Cuneyt dressed the venue after raiding the Paperchase post-xmas sale, I was lights and music. When hosting at home I don’t enjoy DJing through the evening so used to pre-mix the music. This mix kicked in at midnight after Big Ben’s chimes. We start with a few commercial dance favourites from the time, before going into a wad of funky disco house anthems and old skool classics. Ii think I must have run out of time before the party because the last 20 minutes are from a Ministry Of Sound CD. Thanks also goes to Tim Stoller for lending me ‘Salsoul Nuggets’ - my fave track of that Christmas, only available as an instrumental white label at the time.Originally mixed across 4x minidiscs, the mix appears here for the first time as one continuous session. This is the soundtrack from midnight to 5am, at which point we switched to Strangeways Days Vol 2. It’s a big file so may take some time to dload.My fondest memory of the party was at about 8am on New Year’s Day. The sun was rising and a Spanish couple we’re dancing. I’d never met them before - friends of friends of friends - but they had just been reunited as he had been living in Spain. They twirled each other around and around gently, never losing eye contact.
