Chaith Eoghan Mac Cormaic 15 bliana sa phríosún. Fuarthas ciontach é as bean óg RUC a dhúnmharú. Le linn na tréimhse a chaith sé i Long Kesh, ghlac sé páirt in agóidí ar son aitheantas mar chimí polaitiúla - The Blanket Protest agus The Dirty Protest. Agus i measc na príosúnaigh eile ar nós Bobby Sands a bhí in éineacht leis, d'fhás an Ghaeilge as "a tool of resistance". Labhraíonn Eoghan le Seachtain faoin saothar úr seo agus labhraíonn sé go hoscailte faoin tréimhse i bpríosún. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Once again our intrepid trio are off down their various rabbit holes as they chase the provenance of historical objects both real and metaphorical. This week Charles is trying to stay awake from jet lag, Richard is looking dapper in black tie, and Cat is finding out about dogs with jobs. But as usual, they're all over the map as one fact leads to another anecdote and before you know it, they're in a whole different realm. Why would a man be in a forest? What on Earth can be going on? And why doesn’t he make a sound…or does he?In other news Bubter, the manager of the bar, has made a shocking announcement which reminds Archie of the time that a popular sitcom popped in to the club. But that isn’t the point. Maybe a protest is called for. Maybe a special sort of protest?

“The Northern Ireland Crisis” podcasts examines the conflict between the Irish Republican Army (IRA) and the British Government. The longstanding, vicious struggle seems to have moved from downright brutal situation to a more peaceful one in recent years. However, there still exists subtle activity that suggests that the conflict is in fact not over. The podcast touches not only on historical, well-known events, such as the infamous Dirty Protest, but also on more current issues such as the murder of Paul Quinn and the subsequent actions of the IRA.
