Big weekend for the local football teams. Doug was a fan of the Illini's kits on Saturday but no so much for Mizzou's. Is the WNBA Championship the lede? Illini heading to Oregon and Mizzou heading to Tuscaloosa this weekend. Mizzou essentially has a playoff game every week moving forward. Brady Cook had his moment on Saturday. Drew Pyne didn't look great in his first extended opportunity. Illinois now has wins over Nebraska and Michigan and a tough loss to Penn State. The parity in college football this year is remarkable. Audio of Brady Cook's on-field interview after the come-from-behind win. Cook got a text from Peyton Manning after the game. Audio of Brett Bielema after beating Michigan. Officiating debacle in Austin. TMA has infiltrated Gabe's post-game show. Tiger Terry with a great call in the post-game show. Tommy Edman is the NLCS MVP. Chelsea Handler tomorrow. Trolling is celebrated these days. Brady Cook's moment on Saturday. Drew Pyne wasn't great but kept the train on the tracks. Whatever the medical staff gave Brady really did the trick. Was this the game that gets things rolling for the Tigers? Cook's availability going forward. Designed QB runs haven't really worked. Lack of faith in the kicking game. Other noteworthy injuries. If there's a year to go to Tuscaloosa in a must-win situation, this is it. Can't lose again if you wanna get in. EMOTD. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Freeman discusses reuniting with offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, who coached Jayden Daniels to the Heisman Trophy last year at LSU. Freeman also talks about hiring a strength coach and how important that position is. Freeman explains how he's handling the quarterbacks after getting transfer Riley Leonard from Duke. Freeman also discusses how the Irish plan to replace offensive tackles Joe Alt and Blake Fisher. Next, Tim Watts of On3's BamaOnline joins to discuss how wildly different the program feels under new coach Kalen DeBoer. They're playing music at practice, which Nick Saban didn't do. They're letting assistant coaches do interviews. Nick Saban didn't do that, either. But DeBoer was never going to work exactly like Saban did. But he's alike in some ways. The Crimson Tide had a massive wave of visitors in the first week of spring practice, and it appears they're ready to compete for the same kind of players they did under Saban.
