Jahrhundertelang war das Klima kein großes Thema für die Geschichtswissenschaft. Seitdem wir selbst dem Klimawandel ins Auge sehen, fallen uns jedoch auch immer mehr Klimakrisen in der Vergangenheit auf. Diese werden inzwischen als begünstigende Faktoren für solch unterschiedliche Phänomene gesehen wie den Kollaps der bronzezeitlichen Hochkulturen, den Untergang des römischen Reichs oder den Schwarzen Tod im Mittelalter. Too often we find ourselves playing action adventure games that infuse character development with the equipment they are using. This is very much borne out of the MMO model of when a player hits the maximum level the only way they can get any better is by acquiring more powerful stuff. Fimbul, by Zaxis Games does away with that and instead focuses on the innate abilities of the character the player is controlling.
