Erin Keam's Conversations about Closets with my Closest 1000 friends.
Henry says: I'm a healer, writer, teacher, and second-generation mystic. My work is guided by my direct experience with the great mystery. I have certifications and training as a life coach, spiritual director, Tarotist, peer counselor, Reiki Master, and hedge witch. I specialize in two areas: Helping clients discover their life purpose and develop concrete steps to manifest it. Helping clients develop or deepen their loving relationship with the divine as works best for them. As a teacher, I develop and teach classes in the areas of shadow work, Wise Listening, and Tarot. My work is inspired by the two Karls -- Rogers and Jung, belle hooks, Brené Brown, Joseph Campbell, Thich Nhat Hanh, Rumi, Charles Eisenstein, Mother Julian of Norwich, and others. I consider myself a cross between panentheist and panpsychist. You can find my two books on Amazon: The World is Better Than You Think and Crafting a Happy Life. My essays are on Medium.com. Fun fact: I'm a musician and singer/songwriter and once was a major label recording artist. Lately, when we sit on the porch, I like to read out loud to my partner poems from Susceptible to Light by the mystic poet, Chelan Harkin. Welcome back warriors! Thank you all for joining me for the podcast drive to create awareness around suicide prevention. It's been a week filled with honesty, openness, inspiration, love and brotherhood. My guests and i have covered a huge range of topics all in the service of men who struggle. We do this because we care, we do this because we believe in the bonds of brotherhood. We believe in you! Masculinity is at an impasse, where we go from here is up to us, boots on ground men. We have a responsibility to reach and reach out. Jordan B Peterson said that men respond to responsibility because within that here is a sacrifice. What are we sacrificing? We sacrifice our own inner dialogue that we can't make a change that we can't make a difference. We can brothers we can all make a difference. Thank you to you all for listening, supporting and sharing. Let us move forward! This episode brings back Kyle Shutic where we talk about what perhaps is one the foundations for suicide prevention. Letting people know when we're not okay, and that its okay to not be okay. We share love and brotherhood with you today. Find Henry here: If you've been listening a while or it's your first time. Welcome back Warriors! We are nearing the end of this drive to raise awareness around suicide prevention. We have had some incredible chats about what we can do to turn the tide of male suicide, how to support men with depression, anxiety, ptsd and trauma. We have been elevating the conversation so that we reach the men who need to hear the message. We have promoted men's groups, men's workshops, men's retreats and men's workshops. We've covered and delved into what can be done with a boots on ground approach to Men's mental health. We've discovered simple solutions to a complex task. It is not the fault of the NHS by the way, but rather it is our responsibility to connect and create a community for our fellow man. Our friends, boy friends, husbands, fathers, strangers, friends of friends and old friends and more. A brotherhood of men helping men. That is the key and it is something we are not powerless over. Jordan Peterson talks about men's desire to take responsibility, this is your responsibility right now today to unite, reach in, reach out and connect.Today I welcome Andy Grant, successful entrepreneur, podcast host, campaigner and all round good man! We're talking today about feelings and how to feel, emotional intelligence, emotional security, vulnerability as a man, how feelings are going to help you get the hell out of shit pit you feel you're in. We talk about how you can teach yourself to be unafraid of where your feelings might take you, and to harness the power of the reliable source of empowerment on the planet: Your feelings. Welcome back Warriors! Today is day 6 of my drive to raise awareness around suicide prevention. We have covered a huge range of topics and has some seriously challenging conversations. This podcast wants to progress the conversation around mental health! Today I welcome the wonderful Jon Simons to the show. Jon is a Team Leader & Mental Health Advocate, Suicidal ideation speaker and MHFA Plenary. Today we delve into exactly what mental health first aid is, why it is critical people start training in it, and why it is critical that we start educating ourselves into what mental health illness actually is. It is time to empower not limit, progress forward not stay still. We talk openly about our own experiences with mental health illness and suicide ideation, and we speak to you so that you know that you are not alone brother. If you've been listening a while or it's your first time. Please subscribe, rate and leave a review. Welcome back Warriors for day 5 of suicide prevention awareness. This episode i welcome Andy Elwood1 Now Andy and I share something similar. We both run workshops and retreats respectively to help men. Andy uses his trusted Landrover to help men bond in community whilst working on these magnificent machines. As you know I run Metal work to do something very similar. It was a pleasure to have Andy on the show as he shared his own experiences through mental health, military service and now service to those who struggle. We talk openly about how there's something primal about getting our hands dirty, doing hard graft and getting stuck in. When men get together like this, bonds are made, community is created and brotherhoods are formed. If you've been listening a while or it's your first time. Please subscribe, rate and leave a review. What can we say about Henry Vaccaro other than he's a good dude who has lived a fascinating life! The second installment of our two-part MulletCast with Henry does not disappoint. Henry's got the plans. In this episode we dig in deeper to Henry's involvement with the Jackson Family, the seized storage unit & Rolls Royce, and how he defended their $100 million lawsuit against him. There is so much more we can say but you really just need to listen and enjoy. What can we say about Henry Vaccaro other than he's a good dude who has lived a fascinating life! Pull up a seat and enjoy just a few of these stories in part 1 of our two-part MulletCast with Henry. What would you do when the landmark hotel that played a huge role in your family's life in your hometown was crumbling along with the town around it? Why you would buy it and enlist the help of your boyhood idol Johnny Cash to bring it back to life of course! Oh and you would receive a congressional award from Mitch McConnell for running model project in the process. There is so much more we can say but you really just need to listen and enjoy. Find Henry on facebook and learn more about his friendship with Johnny Cash at www.facebook.com/JohnnyCashIsAFriendOfMineByHenryVaccaro In a weird twist of fate, this episode was recorded on Johnny's birthday, and Henry was more than happy to throw on the mullet!
