Founded in 1902, Brunswick Bank and Trust was started on one idea, helping people. At the time it opened its doors, a bank of its kind didn’t exist in the local area. While the national bank set out to help citizens from a government level, and the savings bank helped them with investments, the founders of Brunswick Bank and Trust strived for a more inclusive approach to banking. When not engaging in his favorite pastime of making a Wegman's run, Pop is an active member of the dynamic grandparenting duo of Gabby & Pop where he specializes in antagonizing and riling up his grandkids to the delight of their parents. Patrick Fasano has over forty years of real estate development experience. It all started in 1974 while he was working at his first restaurant job in New Brunswick. With the savings he earned, Patrick began buying boarded up houses and renovating them. He even rented these single and multi-family homes to the staff that worked alongside him in the restaurant. The owners of the restaurant eventually invested in Mr. Fasano to begin his first business, Reliable Properties. What followed were many successful development projects across the US. Fast forward to 1998 when Pat acquired his first building in Asbury Park on Bangs Avenue. The first floor of this building he donated to the gay & lesbian community, and the 2nd floor was converted into apartments to provide housing for his contracting employees as they began rehabbing more buildings throughout the beachfront city. Over the past 15+ years Mr. Fasano has focused on developments in Asbury Park. In the past decade he built over two hundred condominium units for sale with a market value of over $50 million. Additionally he built a number of commercial spaces and restaurants such as Brando’s, The Asbury Lanes, The Wonder Bar, Plaza Tapatia, The Bond Street Complex, and Passion as well as 12 storefronts on Cookman & Mattison Avenue. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Pat for a live podcast and walking tour of his latest passion location, Atlantic City. Pat literally shouted his love for this City from the streets as we toured his development on the New York Avenue portion of the Orange Loop, home to Bourre, a New Orleans style restaurant, the home of a shipping container style hotel with 40 rooms, and a CBD dispensary along with 12 apartment units that were currently under construction. Pat has a contagious passion for his projects, which is evident in this quick interview. Perhaps most interesting in this episode is Pat's response to the question about the approval process in Atlantic City with respect to his extensive plan on New York Ave. Be on the look out for Part 2 as we look to sit down with Pat in the studio for a more extensive conversation soon!

Tim Donnelly is the son of a third generation Elizabeth, NJ firefighter, and his bro is the 4th generation. Tim grew up the youngest of four around the jersey shore and was into music, hoops, boogie boarding, activism, and writing among other things. Tim worked on the Seaside boardwalk, was a badge checker, and a lifeguard. His experience as a badge checker has helped him evade his fellow checkers and to this day he has never owned a proper beach badge despite walking area beaches like a Kiss guitarist (that's "Frehley" for the kids out there). A piece Tim wrote about a drowning victim lead to his work with Body Boarding magazine and eventually a gig as the music editor at Surfer mag. Tim also did important work with the Surfrider Foundation, eventually bringing a chapter back to the Jersey Shore. Tim turned these experiences into working with some of the world's biggest bands at some of the world's best music festivals like Lollapalooza, Woodstock 99, Bonnaroo, and more, and he has helped friends, family, and strangers alike rebuild after Katrina and Sandy. In this episode you will hear about the early Sea.Hear Now that lived on the Asbury boardwalk and how Tim and his friend Danny Clinch went out and made Sea.Hear.Now the killer festival it is now...with a little inadvertent help from Bruce Springsteen along the way! For all you wiseasses out there that are going to comment on my shirt - that's right, I had a garbage can and a camera in the studio and was stealing any signs I could find about the 2020 Sea. Hear. They have been a live music institution on the Jersey Shore circuiy and well beyond, entertaining literally generations of music lovers and revellers for 34 years. The Nerds have played the most sought-after clubs, sold out out Carnegie Hall, and have played private events for top companies across the country like GSK, KPMG, Merrill Lynch, eTrade, TAG Heuer, Morgan Stanley, Pfizer, and so on. Not ones to rest on their past success, The Nerds are arguably the hardest working band in show business, maintaining a rigorous touring schedule that often features multiple gigs in a day. Jim Garcia grew up in a musical household of Cuban immigrants and started playing music at an early age. Success came fairly early on after the band gained some traction as a humorous party band with the nerd persona. Jim credits the band's original manager with teaching them the importance of treating their band as a business. You may not hear the phrase sex, drugs, and health insurance every day, but Jim and the Nerds flourished with this mindset and were able to achieve things like salaries, benefits, buying houses, etc. early in their career. Today Jim does marvel at the relationships he has made with fans over the years, and the new generations that have replaced them at gigs. Jim has passed his love of music on to his sons who are both following their passions with music. Jim has started thinking about post-Nerds life some and is currently researching real estate as something that may fill some time and allow him to work with his hands when gigs slow down. In the eleven years at Asbury Lanes, Jenn helped to create a national and international fan base of performers, bands and burlesque acts, in addition to creating an innovative gallery program that focused on young art collectors. The success of Asbury Lanes helped to create a destination in Asbury Park for music lovers, artists, and performers from all over the country. Parlor Gallery opened in 2009 with a unique vision in New Jersey’s art community that features innovative work by some of the best emerging and established artists. Parlor curates exhibits the public may not ordinarily have access to outside of a large urban environment within a welcoming, creative, and inspirational space. Jenn is also the curator of the Wooden Walls Project, a public arts program that showcases murals and public art on the Asbury Park Boardwalk that has brought international recognition to Asbury Park and the participating artists while providing a backdrop to likely millions of Instagram photos. Porkchop is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Asbury Park, New Jersey. He has a MFA in Sculpture from VCU and has had a successful career designing and creating murals, mixed media art, and sculpture. He creates intriguing scenarios by combining paint, illustration, and text. He has exhibited exclusively in the United States and Europe with Russia on the horizon and is published in “The Greatest Erotic Art of Today/Volume 2”, “Eye Candy” and “I Want Your Skull." Denizens and visitors to Monmouth County have been enjoying Porkchop’s vibrant and colorful artwork and murals for years, but in its most recent manifestation, the artist strips his works of his normally vivid palette and instead employs intentionally ritualistic and graphic monochromatic designs and symbols accented with Gold. Influenced by ancient block printing techniques, history and literature, Porkchop sources out, manipulates, and casts familiar objects. He then painstakingly recreates their surfaces giving them a new existence into a dark and curious storyline. The application of paint into his intentional ritualistic designs followed by flawless coats of glossy resin is an act of pure precision and care, like the work of a surgeon or mortician. There are often unexpected but pleasant marriages of imagery and object. By stripping these pieces of his usual vibrant palette, Porkchop’s choice of black & white emphasizes the narrative in the works, which becomes difficult to ignore. Presenting these pieces in symmetry creates an alter that pulls the stories altogether. This is a great chat with two visionaries leaving their lasting imprint on Asbury Park and the world! As a teen in the 90's, she fell in love with grunge and learned to sing while listening to Pearl Jam, Madonna, Stevie Nicks, The Cranberries, Jewel, Mazzy Star and Alanis Morissette and taught herself guitar to play their songs and write her own. Bringing her poetry and performance to life on stage and in the studio, she blends her musical influences into a unique indie pop sound. After a stay in Cali and returning to NJ to raise her babies, Jenn joined the NJ music scene in 2014, playing any open mic she could find. She enlisted the help of the Freehold Borough Arts Council to establish the Freehold Open Mic Night at the American Hotel, started booking local venues, and partnered up with an entertainment company to play live music at events. Jenn was featured in the band The West Front, playing the Stone Pony opening up for the bands Bush, Chevelle, Lifehouse, and Switchfoot, and she's participated in APMF Music Saved Asbury Park, the Honoring Powerhouse Females Benefit, Soulsational, Jersey Shore Music Festival, and Porchfest. Jenn released an EP in 2018 and in 2019 joined the 3143 Artist Management roster who she's working with to put together a full band, release new music, and schedule show dates. Her new single “Torpedo” to be released soon with a music video. Catch a killer acoustic version of the single on this episode of the MulletCast! Catch JAHK live 7/23 at the Downtown in Red Bank, at the Asbury Hotel Rooftop Bar on 7/25 and at Pier Village Fresh 7/27!
