Learn how EV maker Harbinger secured significant capital and a key initial fleet order in Harbinger lands $160M Series C, inks initial FedEx deal for 53 electric trucks. The electric vehicle manufacturer raised $160 million in Series C funding, bringing its total to $358 million, and simultaneously received an initial order for 53 Class 5 and Class 6 electric vehicles from FedEx. Harbinger's proprietary electric platform offers competitive acquisition costs and modular batteries, ranging from 140 to over 200 miles, positioning the company to lead the mass adoption of medium-duty electric trucks. Next, we dive into the contentious rail industry merger detailed in Rail merger could raise prices, hurt US ability to compete, say GOP legislators. Dozens of Republican state legislators have warned regulators that the proposed Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern rail mega-merger threatens to raise consumer costs on essential goods and hinder the competitive ability of U.S. companies. Legislators argue that the combined system would control nearly 45% of U.S. rail tonnage across 43 states, creating "captive shippers" and risking widespread service disruptions and supply chain instability. Finally, discover the major strategy shift at the national carrier, covered in US Postal Service makes U-turn on last-mile delivery. New Postmaster General David Steiner announced the U.S. Postal Service must grow revenue by leveraging its unique national network to provide last-mile delivery service for large shippers, reversing the strategy of his predecessor. This reversal has led to a tentative agreement with UPS for its budget Ground Saver service, although critics like parcel industry executives worry that offering last-mile services to competitors could cannibalize existing USPS parcel products. Show notes provided by Joe PelusoWE DID IT!! Your "crisis crew" of James, Keith, Richie, and Joe havesuccessfully navigated the madness of the multiverse and completedtheir review of "Crisis on Infinite Earths".The twelve chapter event, that changed fifty years of DC Comics history, was the challengingassignment that the guys undertook to put their insightful spin on amonumental classic story. Worlds lived and died, new characters wereintroduced, while some old ones went away for a long time. Chaoticbattles, base betrayals, power, pathos, and peril all came to the forein a saga that left the comic book reading world stunned andsurprised. While changes were made it wasn't a total housing cleaning, butmore of a cosmic rearranging of the furniture. The Monitor, The AntiMonitor, the new Dr. Light, Alexander Luthor, Harbinger and othersburst on the scene. But the stakes were so high that Barry Allen, KaraZor-El, Wonder Woman, and many others did not make it out alive. Magicmet super science, and super-heroics aligned with vile villainy all inan attempt to save creation across the multiverse. When the dust hadsettled, new heroes rose up to take on the mantles of beloved iconswho had perished. A troubled teen became a man to carry on his uncle'slegacy, and thus Wally West became The Flash. A new Earth had emergedfrom the cosmological chaos, but still a world in need of heroes. Whatfollowed shortly in DC's publishing line were a spate of new seriesthat delineated the landscape of this "brave new world". But was everything now set in stone, were the pieces in all theright places? Those questions and more were tackled by your hosts, asthey (like the survivors of this "crisis") struggled a bit with thenew status quo. But when talented creatives like George Perez and MarvWolman are involved in epic storytelling, does it really matter if allthe toys don't make it back into one box? If you have never read C.O.I.E., we sincerely hope our audaciousanalysis will spur you on to pick it up, and join us in the pleasureof reading the greatest comic book event of all time!

If you've come here for thoughts on the 2022 Andy Mitton film ‘The Harbinger', you are in luck. If you've come to hear two guys in their 40's who never actually looked at the word “Harbinger” and think it's ok to pronounce it as “HarBRINGer” or “HarBINger” rather than “HarBUNger”, you are also in luck. If you've come because you accidentally watched the 2022 Will Klipstine film “The Harbinger”, we sympathize, but we're talking about Andy Mitton film, because, as we all know, there's no quittin' on Mitton.

In music, experimentalism is more than just "that one time in college." This week, we cover the albums that dared to be different, were fearless in their pursuit of breaking new ground, and subverted traditional expectations of what music should sound like. The spirit of experimental music is alive and well on The Sound, the debut solo album by guitarist, cellist, composer producer, arranger, painter, and educator Knox Chandler. This project is a musical memoir depicting the shift in his surroundings from the urbanism of New York, London, and Berlin to the serene rural setting of the Connecticut shoreline. Through 10 diaristic and transportative soundscapes, The Sound incorporates Knox's "Soundribbon" style of meditative, powerfully cinematic guitar, accompanied by upright bass and percussion, and is paired with a book of paintings, sketches, and writings. You no doubt have heard Knox Chandler's work throughout a career that has spanned four decades, as a member of The Psychedelic Furs, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Cyndi Lauper's band, and The Golden Palominos. He's also played, composed, produced, and arranged on dozens of records including REM's Automatic For The People, Depeche Mode's Exciter, David Gahan's Paper Monsters, Paula Cole's Harbinger, and many more. What if the cultural chaos we’re witnessing isn’t just political or social—but a visible sign of ancient, unseen spiritual forces at work? In this riveting episode, Catherine welcomes back New York Times bestselling author and esteemed spiritual leader Jonathan Cahn. Known for his prophetic insight and viral teachings, Jonathan brings parents face-to-face with revelations from his explosive new book, The Avatar: The Return of the Ancients and the Future of America. With global headlines swirling—hostage releases in the Middle East, political shake-ups at home—Jonathan argues that these events are rooted in spiritual battles dating back thousands of years. He takes listeners on a journey through scripture and current history, demonstrating that ancient “gods” and principalities are reclaiming influence in our modern world, often in ways that fly under the radar of the Western mind. Key insights from the episode: The spiritual war behind the headlines: Jonathan unpacks how events like the October 7 attacks in Israel and miraculous hostage returns are spiritual manifestations, echoing patterns seen throughout biblical history. America’s spiritual crossroads: Drawing from The Return of the Gods, Jonathan reveals the “dark trinity” of Baal, Ashtoreth/Ishtar, and Molech—ancient entities driving materialism, sexual confusion, and the destruction of life in today’s society. The avatar phenomenon: Through spellbinding personal anecdotes from India, Cuba, and Africa, Jonathan explains how avatars—human embodiments of these ancient spirits—are still being worshipped globally, and how this practice is stealthily influencing Western cultures and politics. Surprising connections in U.S. leadership: Catherine and Jonathan dive into uncanny parallels between political figures (including Kamala Harris and Donald Trump) and ancient gods and biblical leaders, even uncovering astonishing links between their birthdates and sacred calendar readings. The warning and the call: While God sometimes uses unlikely leaders (the "Jehu" template) to roll back spiritual darkness, ultimate hope for America rests not in politicians but in a nationwide revival—a return to the worship of the one true God, starting in our homes and families. Notable moments: Jonathan’s miraculous encounters with spiritual warfare overseas and their effect on communities. Catherine’s research into how avatars are selected and worshipped in modern cultures—and the resulting persecution of Christians and Jews. The uncanny timing of U.S. leaders’ births with ancient holy days and scriptural readings. As Jonathan cautions: “If we change the government, but we don’t change the hearts of the people, the unchanged hearts are going to change the government back... The only thing that can save America is revival.” About the guest: Jonathan Cahn has been named along with Billy Graham as one of the top spiritual leaders to have radically impacted our world in modern times. He has spoken at the United Nations, on Capitol Hill, to Members of Congress, and to millions around the world. Every one of his books, starting with The Harbinger to The Dragon’s Prophecy, has become a New York Times Bestseller. He is recognized as a prophetic voice for our times. His teachings and prophetic messages on YouTube have received over 100 million views. He leads Beth Israel at the Jerusalem Center in Wayne, New Jersey — and Hope of the World ministry, a world outreach of God’s word and compassion to the world’s most needy. Fog curls over jagged granite and the tide keeps its own secrets—Maine feels like a place where myth, memory, and menace overlap. We head straight for that seam, weaving the state's stark coastline and Wabanaki dawns into a guided tour of folklore, and true crime. Along the way we reckon with names that linger in the record—Mary Cohen, Constance Margaret Fisher, Malcolm Robbins Jr.—and the ways geography, isolation, and community pressure turn ordinary towns into pressure cookers. Then we pivot to the most improbable nexus of all...
A dog vanishes chasing glowing red eyes in the darkness, couples are pursued at over 100 miles per hour by something with massive wings, and a terrified mother watches a gray humanoid creature shuffle onto her porch and peer through the windows—all in the same night that would mark the beginning of Point Pleasant's year of terror.Support our Halloween “Overcoming the Darkness” campaign to help people with depression: https://weirddarkness.com/HOPEIN THIS EPISODE: “I see dead people.” Today it's a meme seen in every corner of the internet. It began, however, as an incredible idea for a film - “The Sixth Sense” – and the reason the meme is so prevalent today, is because the film blew our minds with the unexpected twist ending forcing us to watch the film again. But what if your child were to truly tell you they were seeing dead people. Not imaginary friends, and not even the occasional monster in the closet… but actually seeing dead people. One woman in the UK is pondering that question with not one, but two children who are adamant they are seeing those who have already passed on. (My Children See Dead People) *** Steven Stayner was only seven years old when he was kidnapped and held for over seven years, being sexually molested by the man who grabbed him. But when another boy was brought in as the man's next victim, Steven turned from victim, to rescuer. (I Know My First Name is Steven) *** Stories of people in the past looking to the skies to see UFOs are becoming more and more common as we learn more of our history. But there was some very strange goings on in 1896 and 1897 with some flying contraptions, weird looking people, bizarre languages, and even a close encounter of the third kind. (America's Mystery Airships of 1896-97) *** From UFOs in 1896-97… to UFOs in 1966-67. But this time we add another element. Not only did a young man see a UFO, but the encounter appears to have taken him outside of time – and even changed his personality in the process! (Missing Time in 1966) *** In Blake Edward's 1965 classic comedy film, ‘The Great Race', the heroic Leslie and the despicable Professor Fate, engage in an epic automobile race from New York to Paris in the early 1900s. The film is actually based on a real race that took place in 1908 – and as hilarious as the ‘The Great Race' movie was, the actual race took stupidity to a whole new level. (The Great Race to Stupidity) *** As far as we know, it was the very first sighting of what we've come to know as The Mothman – and it was seen not by a single person or even a single couple – but by four people. Actually, “sighting” probably isn't the right word for it… as it ended up in a high-speed chase between the four people in one car, and Mothman giving chase. In this episode Truth talks with L.A. Marzulli, UFO researcher, author, documentarian /filmmaker, and biblical scholar. The two talk about L.A.'s history/career, UFO's, the Biblical Seed Wars, what's really going on with UFO's – and his belief that interdimensional beings (Nephilim / Fallen Angels), rather than extraterrestrial beings are behind them. We also discuss what this means in relation to disclosure and society in general. L.A.'s Bio: L. A. Marzulli is an author, lecturer, and filmmaker. He has penned Fourteen books including The Nephilim Trilogy which made the CBA best sellers list. Based on his work on the trilogy, L.A. received an honorary doctorate from his mentor Dr. I. D. E. Thomas, who was the Provost at Pacific International University. He was also honored with the Gold Medallion award from Chuck Missler at the K-House conference in 2014. His book series On the Trail of the Nephilim volumes I & II are full-color, over-sized volumes which reveal startling evidence of a massive cover-up of what he believes to be the remains of the Nephilim, the giants mentioned in the Bible. L. A. teamed up with film producer Richard Shaw to create The Watchers series which grew to an eleven-episode catalog. One of those installments, Watchers 7: UFO Physical Evidence, won both the “UFO Best Film” and “People's Choice Award” at the UFO Congress in 2014. Marzulli created a “team” that legally extracted material for DNA testing from the enigmatic elongated skulls found in Peru. The results were released in Episode #6 of the On the Trail series in late 2020. There are now 8 installments in the On the Trail of the Nephilim Series. Marzulli toured Portugal for two weeks conducting extensive research and interviews, which resulted in the films Fatima: Miracle of the Sun or Harbinger of Deception and Part 2: Strange Phenomenon. In Part #2 the film releases a never-before-seen photograph that clearly shows a disc-shaped-object directly above the so-called apparition site on October 13, 1917. This is ground breaking information. With the passing of Richard Shaw, L. A. teamed up with Gil Zimmerman and the two have completed 10 films in their ongoing UFO series. This is the only film series that deals with the many facets of the UFO phenomenon. L. A. Marzulli is a frank super-naturalist who lectures on the subjects of UFOs, the Nephilim, and ancient prophetic texts, presenting his exhaustive research at conferences and churches, and through all media platforms and interviews on numerous national and international radio and television programs. Today we sit down with acclaimed comic writer-artist David Lapham to explore his remarkable journey from penciler at Valiant Comics on titles like Shadowman and Harbinger, to working under Jim Shooter at Defiant Comics where he co-created Warriors of Plasm, before creating his own publishing company, El Capitan Books, to self-publish his signature series Stray Bullets. David reflects on that crime-drama masterpiece, especially how he maintains momentum on the nearly 100-issue irregular series, and how he balances creator-owned work with projects for major publishers like DC and Marvel. We also dive deep into his latest collaboration, Good As Dead, a haunting story of crime, justice, death, and small-town secrets that was developed from a pitch originated by Monarch: Legacy of Monsters creator Chris Black and producer David Alpert. We explore how this new series differs from Stray Bullets in tone and approach while examining the challenges and creative freedom of adapting someone else's concept alongside his wife and frequent collaborator Maria Lapham.Go pick up Good As Dead #1 today, September 17, and be sure to follow David on Instagram @davidalapham and Blueky @davidlapham.Support the show___________________Check out video versions of this and other episodes on YouTube: youtube.com/dollarbinbandits!If you like this podcast, please rate, review, and subscribe on Apple Podcasts or wherever you found this episode. 41: Jackie Robinson Day, Book Banning, Harvard's Last Stand & a Harbinger of Hope.Welcome to episode forty-one of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following:1) April 15 was Jackie Robinson Day, and we discussed this legendary baseball player's contribution to the game and society. He is a testament to character, but that didn't stop our drunkard Defense secretary from purging Robinson's military service record from the Pentagon's website. 2) The issues facing higher education are daunting, including Hegseth's attack on the U.S. Naval Academy, which resulted in 381 books being removed from the library's shelves. However, ironically, students still have access to Mein Kampf. Meanwhile, Harvard, a rather unsympathetic institution, has refused Trump's efforts to blackmail them for concessions. As much as we loath Havard's hypocritical liberal elitism, we applaud them for having the backbone to stand up to this most incompetent and ineffective administration;3) The deportation cases that Trump has pursued and his open defiance of court rulings on his baseless legal claims. And despite all the talk, the deportation levels under Trump are about the same as under Biden. Trump's assault on our constitutional norms is sad to watch and has pushed David to claim that he will vote for AOC as President over JD Piglet Vance in 2028.4) In liberal San Francisco, we see a harbinger of hope with its new Mayor, Daniel Lurie, who has made great strides at saving this important city from the declines brought about by permissive progressive policies that have been devastating to urban America. We welcome comments on our podcasts as well, which can be left on our website or any other platform you may be tuning in on.Connect with David & Stu: Email David & Stu: davidandstuunhinged@gmail.com and share your comments, concerns, and questions. We encourage all to visit our website (https://www.rageworksnetwork.com/show/david-stu-unhinged/) and please leave comments for our consideration.

It's been over a year since we last spoke about Sydney Sweeney and how many online and off see the Euphoria actress as a MAGA spokeswoman. Her latest scandal - an American Eagle advert celebrating the blonde's "great genes" - cements Sweeney's spot as the right's poster child. In this week's episode, recorded before that expose revealing Sweeney is a registered Republican - hosts Ione and Gina dig into how fast speed advertising has changed the role of celebrity, why brands are being more blunt about appealing to Trump fans and why we should be more comfortable in calling a spade a spade (or calling a eugenicist a eugenicist).Support our work and become a Polyester Podcast member
Philip Sanderson in conversation with David Eastaugh https://snatchtapes.bandcamp.com/ Storm Bugs are a post-punk band formed in 1978 in Deptford, London, by Philip Sanderson and Steven Ball who had met in the Medway Towns, England. The band have been linked to a number of genres including: cassette culture, industrial music and DIY. Storm Bugs were initially active between 1978–82 and defying gravity reformed in 2001. After moving to London in late 1978 Sanderson wangled out of hours access to the electronic music studio at Goldsmiths College and also purchased a valve Revox reel to reel tape recorder setting up a DIY home studio to annoy the neighbours. Using both these faculties Sanderson recorded much of the Storm Bugs output from 1878 to 1980 with Ball designing the artwork for the releases. The first Storm Bugs release was as part of Snatch 1 - on the Snatch Tapes cassette label. Snatch Tapes was part of the cassette culture scene and also released tapes by David Jackman (later of Organum), and Claire Thomas & Susan Vezey as well as tracks by the Lemon Kittens, Alien Brains, Cultural Amnesia and the Beach Surgeons (led by a young Graham Massey, later of 808 State). Storm Bugs went on to release three cassettes albums on Snatch Tapes: A Safe Substitute (1980), Storm Bugs (1980) and Gift (1981). In 1980 the band released their first vinyl record the Table Matters EP on Loop Records (UK) featuring Cash Wash and Eat Good Beans. In 1981 Storm Bugs released their second single an industrial rockabilly 7-inch called "Metamorphose", on the French L'invitation au Suicide label with this time Ball providing lead vocals. Further recordings were made in 1981/1982 but not released with the band effectively going into hibernation for 20 years. Sanderson and Ball however continued to collaborate on other projects including a short-lived pop experimental band called Swoon Baboon and in 1988 the film Green on the Horizon. Storm Bugs were rediscovered in 2000 when they were included on the bootleg LP I Hate the Pop Group, on Vertical Slum Records. In an attempt to cash in a year later Snatch Tapes reactivated and released a compilation of some of the bands finer moments from the past, entitled Let's Go Outside And Get It Over, this was the start of a re-issue programme that saw much of Storm Bugs original material being rereleased on vinyl. The following year, 2002 rare and previously unreleased recordings were collected by the Fusetron label, and released on an LP called Up The Middle Down The Sides. In the same year the band also released a 4-track EP of new material called The Bugs Are Back on the Austrian label Klanggalerie. In 2006 the German label Vinyl On Demand issued a Snatch Tapes compilation called Snatch Paste and this was followed in 2007 by a Storm Bugs LP entitled Supplementary benefit featuring the two 7 inch singles as well as tracks from the early cassette releases. 2008 saw Car Situations (Nasal Passage) included on the Messthetics Greatest Hiss compilation whilst in 2011 the A Safe Substitute cassette on Snatch Tapes was reissued on red vinyl by Harbinger records. In 2013 the track Cash Wash/Eat Good Beans was included on the 7th and final Anthology of Noise and Electronic Music compilation on Sub Rosa. In 2013 Storm Bugs made their back catalogue available digitally on Bandcamp and released their first new material in ten years the digital single No Nothingness/Triangulation with an accompanying video. Storm Bugs live appearances have been rare. An unadvertised performance was given at Maidstone Art college in 1979 and a further performance in the summer of 1980 in Brenchley Gardens Maidstone, Kent. On that occasion the band included David Jackman on esraj. In 2012 Storm Bugs performed live for the first time in 30 years at the Rammel Weekender in Nottingham alongside other acts such as the New Blockaders and Cheapmachines. Reviewing the Weekender in the Wire Magazine, Storm Bugs's contribution was judged by Derek Walmsley to be "everything that's right about the weekend"

The future of workforce efficiency is skills-based, and organizations that fail to make this pivot risk being left behind. Shrikant Pattathil, President and CTO of Harbinger Group, joins Bill Banham to unpack why skill proficiency has become a critical metric for organizational success in today's hyper-personalized, hyper-automated workplace.Shrikant reveals that companies implementing skills-first approaches are seeing dramatic improvements, including 25% faster hiring processes. But the benefits extend far beyond recruitment, touching everything from internal mobility to workforce planning. The conversation explores the complex question of AI-driven job displacement, with Shrikant estimating that while 70-80% of employees can be upskilled for evolving roles, organizations must prepare for 20-25% of positions to undergo complete transformation. The episode takes a deep dive into the architecture of effective skills-first platforms, outlining six essential components including AI-driven skills graphs, gap analyzers, and personalization engines. Through real-world case studies, Shrikant demonstrates how these systems have transformed recruitment processes and leadership development programs. He emphasizes that building a skills ontology isn't a one-time project but an ongoing commitment requiring continuous adaptation to organizational needs.Shrikant Pattathil also provides practical guidance for HR leaders navigating the build-versus-partner decision when implementing skills platforms. He advocates for a strategic approach that balances custom development of core components with partnerships for standard functionalities. The conversation concludes with insights on incorporating contingent workers into skills frameworks and how centralized skills management serves as the ultimate insurance policy against future disruptions.Ready to transform how your organization approaches talent development and workforce planning? You might not think that often about medium-duty trucks, but they're all around you: ambulances, UPS and FedEx delivery trucks, school buses. And although they make up a relatively small share of vehicles on the road, they generate an outsized amount of carbon pollution. They're also a surprisingly ripe target for electrification, because so many medium-duty trucks drive fewer than 150 miles a day.On this week's episode of Shift Key, Rob and Jesse talk with John Henry Harris, the cofounder and CEO of Harbinger Motors. Harbinger is a Los Angeles-based startup that sells electric and hybrid chassis for medium-duty vehicles, such as delivery vans, moving trucks, and ambulances. Rob, John, and Jesse chat about why medium-duty trucking is unlike any other vehicle segment, how to design an electric truck to last 20 years, and how President Trump's tariffs are already stalling out manufacturing firms. Shift Key is hosted by Jesse Jenkins, a professor of energy systems engineering at Princeton University, and Robinson Meyer, Heatmap's executive editor. Catherine welcomes back internationally acclaimed best-selling author and prophetic voice Jonathan Cahn for a powerful conversation that bridges ancient truth with modern turmoil. Known by many as one of the most influential Christian leaders of our time, Jonathan returns to discuss the reimagining of his groundbreaking book The Harbinger—a New York Times bestseller for over 100 weeks—now released as a stunning, fully illustrated graphic novel designed to captivate a new generation. Together, Catherine and Jonathan explore why biblical prophecy isn’t just a theological niche—it’s a vital tool for apologetics and a faith-building resource for parents and teens alike. With clarity and conviction, Jonathan unveils the uncanny and often chilling ways that the prophetic patterns of ancient Israel are unfolding in America today. In this episode, you’ll discover: The shocking biblical parallels between Israel’s fall and America’s spiritual decline How prophecy can transform your family’s faith and spark meaningful dialogue with your teens Why modern-day prophetic fulfillment serves as a powerful and often overlooked defense of the Christian faith Jonathan shares how specific warnings from Scripture—originally spoken to ancient Israel—are now echoing in America through real-world events, political acts, and public declarations. These harbingers manifest in physical objects and moments of national significance—often through leaders who are unaware they are echoing the voice of God. From the fallen sycamore tree at Ground Zero to prophetic utterances on Capitol Hill, this conversation builds a compelling case for the supernatural accuracy of God’s Word. Don’t miss these unforgettable moments: Jonathan’s miraculous journey from never having written a book to penning The Harbinger, and the prophetic confirmations that guided him The jaw-dropping fact that Isaiah 9:10—the very verse warning of judgment—was the daily reading in the One Year Bible on September 11th… sixteen years before 9/11 A powerful discussion about America’s current “window of opportunity” for revival—and how humility, repentance, and prayer are key to changing the course of our nation Jonathan delivers a sobering reminder: “If we change the laws but don’t change the people, the unchanged people will change the laws back… The only thing that can save America is repentance and revival.” And Catherine challenges parents to respond with faith, not fear: “The signs of the times are not a cause to be afraid, but a call to return.” As you listen, ask yourself:What might God be saying to your family through the shaking of our times? How can you use prophecy—not only to defend your faith—but to plant seeds of unshakable hope in your children’s hearts?
