The Lange-Douglas relationship frays further as the prime minister unilaterally pulls the pin on a flat tax package signed off by cabinet. A furious Douglas flies back from Europe, but the split only deepens, as Lange declares it's time for radical reforms to pause and calls for a “cup of tea” and the two Beehive offices go to war, with Douglas loyalists putting the blame on Lange's lover, Margaret Pope. Something has to give, and soon it does. New and exclusive interviews with Roger Douglas, Stephen Mills, Richard Prebble, Geoffrey Palmer, Hekia Parata, Gary McCormick and Margaret Wilson. Build Your Own Home and Save Gary McCormick pt 2 Gary McCormick was the Vice President of a mortgage bank and was helping home flippers and builders to obtain better mortgage rates in their businesses. This allowed them to obtain larger loans and flip more houses at one time. Since he was so successful, they started taking him to lunches, etc. just to show their appreciation. Then Gary started to think about entering the business himself. He seen the money they were making. He knew the “inside game” of obtaining the loans – he knew these other players would help him “sub out” the work! Long story short, this is what he did. Amen! All was well until, does everyone remember the housing crash in 2008-2009? Well, Gary (along with most of the independent contractors of that time) ended up declaring bankruptcy and having to start over. But, start over he did. But Gary did not just go right back at the same process. Now, he has carved himself out a niche where he helps individuals to build their own homes and do the work themselves. Basically, they are their own contractor. This saves them huge money as compared to the normal way of doing things. You did not have much in the way of assets, correct? Now, you help individuals to build their own homes. How difficult a process is that? But you offer coaching, of sorts, to help individuals build their own homes. What kind of training and resources do you provide for them? Naturally, I know you probably won't travel to far from home… but do you do anything online in addition to in person consulting? Gary, this is so interesting. If someone wanted more information on the services and training you offer, how can someone get in touch with you? I'll put links to all of this in the show notes below. I know this type of program that Gary McCormick has put together may not be for everyone. My wife would probably live in the car if I tried to build her a house! Amen! Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good. I know my calling – and being a home builder is not it. Amen! Of course, I'm being silly. Gary is here to help you coordinate, sub-contract out the work that needs to be done, teach you how to do the work you can do yourself – all with the goal of helping you to accomplish and achieve your dream of building your own home – at a fraction of the cost. Amen! Finding the land, coordinating the work, purchasing materials – it all goes into plan. I want to encourage you to drop down into the show notes, use the information there to reach out to Gary McCormick and see if he is able to help you. It doesn't cost you to find out IF he can help you… but it could cost you tens of thousands of dollars if you don't. Amen! Get in touch with Gary McCormick right now…today. Amen! Gary, thank you for taking the time to come on the program and share with us about this great service you are providing. I appreciate you time today. Folks, that is all the time we have for today. For Gary McCormick and myself, this is Pastor Bob reminding you to BE BLESSED IN ALL THAT YOU DO!

I do appreciate it and this is a big topic right now. I mean interests rates are super high compared to just a few years ago. I know people would love to save some money in this area if at all possible… But before we get started in that discussion, other than that brief information I just shared, can you tell us in your own words, “Who is Gary McCormick?” You started out small, but quickly ballooned this into, basically, a high end market, correct? How did you go about doing that and what kind of time frame did you do this in? Tell us what happened to you when the housing crash came at the end of 2007 and into 2008… So, how did you “start over?” You did not have much in the way of assets, correct? Gary McCormick is a poet, writer, stand up comedian and co-host of More FM's "Si and Gary" which has been running for 14 years.
The sermon is hosted by the pastors of Bodmin and Liskeard as Gary McCormick preaches on his long struggle of his journey to God and how his life has led to where he is today. The sermon begins with Mark talking on how he met Gary on a course and how he was able to reach Gary with just a verse. Gary talks on his obstacles of fear, addiction, lack of trust for many years, and how he was the class reject who couldn’t trust anyone, was involved in drugs and alcohol, and went to prison and was a hypocrite, but through the love and care of God was forgiven so that he could take off his filthy rags, and no longer be a slave to fear. He calls us to have faithfulness in God, and asks us what are we using to avoid our real struggles and to make the pain easier, using passages from John, Zechariah and Colossians. He calls us to also take off our filthy rags, because “if he can do it for me he can do it for you” -Gary.
