But on the other hand, people who are far from God are typically far more receptive to the Good News if they are at your dinner table as opposed to coming to church on Sunday. You have a testimony and you have a story for a reason. Start there. Don't rely on the pastor. The conversation explores the question of whether to lead with problems or results when selling coaching services. Yannick and Siwash discuss the effectiveness of selling a solution to a problem and the alignment with positive psychology. They also explore the power of leading with a vision and inspiring clients to move towards their desired outcomes. The conversation delves into the different approaches of being a painkiller or a vitamin, and the importance of choosing the type of clients and work that align with one's values. The hosts also discuss the five stages of awareness and how to create content for each stage. The conversation concludes by emphasizing the importance of finding a marketing frequency that works for each coach.TakeawaysSelling a solution to a problem can be effective, but it may not align with positive psychology and the desire to inspire clients towards their dreams and aspirations.Leading with a vision and focusing on the desired outcome can be more powerful and impactful in the long run. There is no one right way to sell coaching services, and it depends on the type of clients and work that align with one's values and goals.Understanding the five stages of awareness (unaware, problem aware, solution aware, product aware, and most aware) can help in creating targeted marketing content for different stages of the customer journey.Finding a marketing frequency that works for each individual is important, and it is not necessary to constantly create new content but rather focus on creating valuable and impactful content.Chapters00:00 Introduction and Question01:09 Selling with Problem Focus02:07 Positive Psychology and Vision Focus03:04 Tapping into Positive Experiences04:28 Combining Problem and Vision Focus05:03 Being the Painkiller or the Vitamin06:29 Choosing the Type of Clients and Work07:39 Different Approaches for Different Coaches08:13 Focusing on the Desired Outcome09:46 Leading with Vision and Meaning11:24 Long-Term Impact and Lifelong Work13:09 The Five Stages of Awareness15:18 Creating Content for Different Stages20:40 Inviting People to Take the Journey25:02 Choosing the Frequency of Marketing26:24 Conclusion____If you'd like to stay up to date with new episodes, continue the conversation or generally support what we do: Send us your question: http://bit.ly/talkingaboutcoachingSign up to our mailing list (no spam, no sales, just a quick shout about new episodes): https://mailchi.mp/afc10fc74492/talkingaboutcoachingWatch us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCG2cC6sgHdLuhBdRqxQNPYgListen to and download all episodes: http://talkingaboutcoaching.buzzsprout.com/Like our Facebook page: http://fb.me/TalkingAboutCoachingJoin our Facebook community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3023068731067611/Support the show on PatreonSupport the Show.

A Beautiful Savior for a Broken World! How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" Isaiah 52:7 Isaiah 6:1-9 God's Calling (commissioning) on Isaiah's life! God is on a Mission! Isaiah's Vision of the Lord 6 In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one called to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;the whole earth is full of his glory!” 4 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” Isaiah's Commission from the Lord 8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” 9 And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;keep on seeing, but do not perceive.' Uzziah was, for the most part, a good king. 52 years. Sought out the prophet Zechariah, was a strong king with an honorable name. He defeated the Philistines and others godless nations in various battles. But sadly, Uzziah's life ended tragically. 2 Chronicles 26:16 says: “…But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the LORD his God by entering the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.” In response, God struck Uzziah with leprosy, and he was an isolated leper until his death. “*How many Christian men and women start out well for the Lord and finish tragically?” Why? “Isaiah's 7 C's” A comprehension of God. A conviction of personal & collective sin. A confession of His sin. A cleansing of his heart. A call to Go A cooperation with God. A commission by a Holy God! 5 SAWS! 1. He SAW the Lord 2. He SAW himself 3. He SAW the Source of his need-God's grace 4. He SAW his calling 5. He SAW the lost! Six Key Points 1. Isaiah Saw the Lord in His Glory! 2. He saw that God was holy and he was not! 3. Isaiah got right with the Lord in sincere repentance. 4. God is looking for (calls) His messengers? Who will GO? 5. Isaiah showed his repentance in a response of life surrender and sacrifice. I'll GO! 6. GOD COMMISSIONED ISAIAH TO A PEOPLE WHO WOULD, BY IN LARGE, REJECT GOD AND REJECT ISAIAH'S MESSAGE! What Can The Tabernacle Do? You are already doing so much here at the Tabernacle. Praise God! Keep at it. Open your homes and hearts continually. VLIF Started 2/27 Every Saturday night! We take a look at three options or ways that we can share the good news of Jesus with others. 1) Invite people to opportunities to get to know Jesus. The Samaritan woman did this then her whole town went out to meet Jesus.  2) Tell people about Jesus yourself. We don't always have to leave it to others to explain the gospel. We can tell the good news about Jesus as well!  3) Support those who are telling others about Jesus.  From missionaries to evangelists to Bible translators and more, when we find those who are sharing the good news, let us do what we can to support them in their ministry. Scriptures covered: John 4:1-45, John 1:35-51, Acts 10:17-24, Acts 8:1-4, Acts 17:14-34, Philippians 4:14-20, Luke 8:1-3.To see David Hicks on YouTube, click here.

Despite his awareness of his sexuality, Jacob felt inspired to serve a mission and attend BYU. Little by little, as he let people in he felt more comfortable and confident in his identity and eventually decided to come out on Instagram in June of 2021. As his religious views began to shift, Jacob decided that part of living authentically and honestly would involve transferring out of BYU and being more open about his beliefs. Throughout his journey, Jacob decided to let people in and received mixed responses, but decided to listen most to those who loved him unconditionally. #LatterGayStories #ComingOut #BYU #GayMormon

#123// Is your invitation falling flat because you haven't realized it's actually a process?I'm sharing a message I recently shared at my home church of REVIVE Church of Tampa around what it really takes to effectively invite someone to Come and See what Jesus and His Kingdom. Whether, for you, that means inviting someone to a church service or simply into a conversation about what Jesus has done for you, it's generally going to take more than just one "touch." As I've studied the story of Jesus inviting the Samarian woman at the well to Come and See, I've noticed seven distinct steps to an effective invitation. It's time to press back on the disappointment that has come from asking someone to visit your church, only to hear "No" repeatedly. It's time to let go of the false expectation that the direct invite is the only step in truly encouraging someone to Come and See. If you're ready to learn the seven steps of an effective invitation, I want you to grab your Bible, your journal and a pen, and . . . Let's Go!JOIN ERICA FOR OUR NEXT REVIVE WOMAN GIRLS NIGHT OUT ON FRIDAY MARCH 24 @ 7PM ET · Join Erica in person at the REVIVE Church of Tampa campus in West Tampa, FL or online via streaming on our REVIVE Woman Facebook page as we TESTIFY to the goodness, the glory and the grace of God. What's your testimony? Let's gather and be encouraged, empowered and equipped to make our sound into the earth for Jesus and His Kingdom. For more info and to RSVP go here: revivewoman.org/gnoinfo.

Inviting People to Worship: Worship is always the right response to a real encounter with Jesus. The disciples experienced this when Jesus walked on the water, called Peter out of the boat, and saved him despite his sinking doubts. When we see Jesus for who he truly is, we can't help but worship and help others do the same. Recorded on Jan 1, 2023, on Matthew 14:22-36, by Pastor David Parks. This message is part of our DNA, a sermon series on our core values that define who we are and what we're trying to do. Our core values include inviting people to worship, connecting people in community, training people for ministry, and sending people on mission. These values provide a wonderful source of power, meaning, and joy for the Christian life. Sermon Transcript  The theme this year for our preaching ministry is Learning the way of Jesus. And today, as we kick off a new year, we're starting a 4-part sermon series called DNA, focusing on our identity and the core values which define who we are and what we're trying to do here. Our core values include inviting people to worship — which we'll focus on today, but also connecting people in community, training people for ministry, and sending people on mission. We'll cover all of these in the next few weeks. And we've certainly talked about these things before, but we must regularly come back to them and remind ourselves of them because worship, community, ministry, and mission, at the most foundational level, are the basic building blocks of the Christian life. When these values are guided and empowered by our mission and vision and are rooted in the truth of God's word, they become our DNA, encoding everything we need for life and flourishing as a church. But also, if we miss/ignore one or more of these values, our life will be out of balance, and we'll miss out on a huge source of power/meaning/life/joy in the way of Jesus. So today, we're starting with inviting people to worship, and my goal is to remind you that worship is always the right response to a real encounter with Jesus. When we see Jesus for who he truly is, we can't help but worship and help others do the same. Now, there are so many places we could go in the Bible to see why this is true and should be part of our DNA. But I think the story of Jesus walking on the water in Mt 14 is a classic example. If you have a Bible/app, please open to Matthew 14:22. We'll read through this text and then unpack it together. Matthew 14:22-36 (NIV), “Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It's a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.” 28 “Lord, if it's you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.” 34 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to him 36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.”
