SOME THANGS THAT ARE UNDERSTOOD DONT NEED TO BE EXPLAINED. OR DO THEY? SOME LADIES SUBMITED QUESTIONS AND A PANEL OF MEN ANSWERED THEM IN THE ONLY WAYS THEY COULD!!
My manager doesn't like me is a horrible feeling to have. The good news is I have 5 tactics for you to use to change this quickly. Having a good relationships or at least a professional relationships with your manager is so important for your career and it makes going to work each day much more enjoyable. I share 10 signs your boss doesn't like you. If your manager doesn't like you, you will be in the receiving end of at least some of these signs and your team members won't have the same treatment. If everyone gets treated badly then the manager may be difficult or even toxic. When you are thinking “My boss doesn't like me” focus on building a professional relationship first. Ensure you are doing at least and average job, you are positive towards your manager and team members and you visibly support your manager. Do all these well and there are very few managers that won't like you on a professional level. If you feel “my manage doesnt like me” a must do to change this is to do a good job. If you are doing a below average job, you are causing problems for your manager. Deliver good quality work, on time and in the right way. I have 8 actions you can take to be good at what you do. Another how to make your boss like you action is to ensure you are not the problem. I have included a checklist of 9 actions which you should make sure you are NOT doing. Do any of them and it won't be a surprise you feel my manager doesnt like me! The next action to if your boss doesn't like you is to help your manager be successful. Very few people dislike those that help them be successful. Take a look at the team goals and ask your manager what theirs are. Work to help deliver these objectives or help your team members deliver them. Make sure you boss knows about your efforts. When your manage doesnt like you become a problem solver. This is another way to directly help your manager. Look out for problems and think through at least one practical solution before speaking to you manager about both. Manager love having problem solvers on their team – it makes their life a lot easier. It does take some confidence to start implementing each of these actions. Please start with at least one, work hard to put it into practice and then add a second to this. Keep going until you are doing all 5 tactics. I have used these tactics for over 20 years with a huge range of personalities. Each tactic absolutely works. Enjoy the feeling that you manager is starting to like you!

Well folks, we've arrived at the end of the line for the first season of I Hate My Boss. The show will be back, new and improved, early next year, so don't worry — our sage advice won't be gone for too long. But first, on today's episode, Liz and Larry give out some awards, and then we check back in with Rebecca, Manny, and some of the other listeners who were featured in last week’s best-of episode. And Liz and Larry go over the things that matter most to us in the workplace, and the signs that you've arrived at a great job. Because that's what we've wanted from the start: for you to be happy and fulfilled at work, and hopefully, we've helped you accomplish that. Thanks so much for listening to this season of the show, and we'll be back soon with something we think you'll love.New to I Hate My Boss? We've almost arrived at the end of the first season of I Hate My Boss, and we couldn't resist taking a look back at some of the most memorable stories and hate-able bosses that we've discussed over the past few months; that's right, it's time for a clip show! Meghan's boss has set her up to fail, while Rebecca's boss has allowed his micromanaging wife to sour a perfectly good working relationship. Then, Jane's been dealing with a weirdly overprotective boss, while the honesty box in Manny's office was compromised by a scheming manager. And, of course, there's some Bad Bathroom Behavior going around in one office out there.New to I Hate My Boss? We talk a lot about the side hustle on I Hate My Boss, but today, Liz and Larry help a listener who's truly going above and beyond to accomplish their goals. Anonymous on the West Coast is working full-time while finishing an IT degree, but now that their rent's going up, they need to ask for a raise and maybe even take out a student loan. Liz and Larry offer their perspectives on how to calmly ask for a raise even when life's got you stressed, and how to tell when it's time to really invest in yourself. Then, Angie recently moved on from an emotionally abusive work situation, but she's still coping with the effects at her new job.Thank you to our sponsors:Blue Apron - Get your first 3 meals for free with free shipping by visiting them here: www.blueapron.com/bossAudible - Get a 30-day trial and a free audio book when you visit them here: www.audible.com/bossCasper - Get $50 off any mattress when you visit them here: www.casper.com/bossZip Recruiter - Learn how to hire smarter and browse the most extensive job boards here: www.Ziprecruiter.com/bossPitney Bowes - Get a 90-day free trial when you visit them here: www.pb.com/BossWe'd like to hear from you. Wondery's podcasts include Sword & Scale, Hollywood & Crime, We Study Billionaires, Fall Of Rome and their latest hit I Hate My Boss. Our listeners experience different kinds of sexism: from being passed over for a promotion, to having a boss who’s crossing the line from paternalistic to creepy, to the challenges of being the only female engineer. Liz and Larry then offer advice to a listener whose over-worked boss is becoming a bottleneck. But first, a success story from a listener who got multiple job offers after writing to I Hate My Boss. We all know we’re different from each other, but what do we really think of people who aren’t like us? And how well do we work with them? At Penn & Pencil, the answer is not well at all - Matt is pigeonholed into working for a gay dating app, instead of a dude-heavy video game. Liz and Larry are in the hot seat, and share their results from the implicit bias test. I Hate My Boss’s creator and Wondery founder, Hernan Lopez, joins to talk about how those assumptions can impact work performance. Want to find out your own implicit biases? Iron sharpens iron? You'll have to be the judge. Chad Johnson, an old time friend of Matt and Toby's and founder of ComeandLive.com and TakeHold Records, joins us with David Pierce, Ben Pierce (Steiger.org), all three bringing a different angle of what it means to be a Christian. Should Toby and Matt be more evangelical at Emery shows? Why did Aaron Gillespie, due to using some choice words, get the boot from speaking at a Steiger event? How vital to the gospel is the message of sanctification? Do we pick and choose what qualifies as sanctification and overlook possibly more important examples? Lastly, Joey admits to a stark example of him being a sexist in the workplace. Pastor Tim Kellers’ convictions on male headship cost him recently but he took it like a champ. Matt, Toby and Joey have changed a lot on their perspective of male headship and women pastors, have you? Vice President Mike Pence swears he’ll never dine alone with a woman; (i.e. the Billy Graham Rule) is this respect or sexism? Toby’s dog needs knee surgery and Pastor Joey definitely is against paying money to help animals.
