Season 31, Episode 25 – Aww…So Cute!Hosted by: DONMEGADONMEGA is back with another loaded episode of Am I On The Air?, covering all the biggest entertainment stories from May 20 through May 26. This marks Episode #232 on the PopCulturePros Network, which means while Hollywood keeps reviving old franchises every few months, DONMEGA keeps proving consistency might actually be the rarest thing in entertainment. On the movie side, the biggest spotlight in the galaxy belongs to The Mandalorian and Grogu, as Star Wars finally returns to theaters for the first time in seven years. DONMEGA breaks down the return of Din Djarin and everyone's favorite tiny chaos goblin Grogu, while discussing what this movie means for the future of Star Wars on the big screen. Because after years of streaming series, spin-offs, timelines, side quests, and enough lore videos to require homework, Lucasfilm is finally back in theaters hoping audiences still remember where the popcorn machines are.Meanwhile, horror gets another major franchise revival with director Lee Cronin taking on The Mummy. DONMEGA dives into the darker tone, updated mythology, and scares while figuring out whether this fresh reboot successfully brings the iconic monster back to life… or just unwraps another cursed franchise experiment Hollywood couldn't resist touching.TV stays busy too, with the debut of Nemesis, the latest new series trying to carve out its place in the increasingly crowded streaming battlefield. DONMEGA shares first impressions and whether this one has real breakout potential or might quietly disappear into the content void three weeks from now.Comedy also gets some spotlight as comedian Josh Johnson brings his latest stand-up special Symphony to audiences, and DONMEGA breaks down the biggest laughs, standout moments, and what makes the special hit.And finally, it's time to say goodbye to The Boys. One of television's wildest, bloodiest, and most aggressively unfiltered shows reaches its series finale, and DONMEGA gives his full thoughts on whether the show actually sticks the landing after years of superhero chaos, exploding heads, and enough uncomfortable moments to permanently traumatize HR departments everywhere.Blockbusters, horror reboots, comedy specials, streaming premieres, and major finales, Aww…So Cute! delivers another week of sharp takes, veteran insight, and just enough sarcasm to keep things grounded in a world where every franchise is apparently immortal.

The goofily named latest from the James Wan/Jason Blum horror universes is a totally different take on The Mummy story than the Tom Cruise or Brendon Fraser era films. This is a straight horror more in the vein of The Conjuring series through with the harder edge of something like Sinister. It's also undeserving of the critical mauling it's got, being a mainly near excellent, straight - gory - horror. I'd put it above near ever Conjuring movie.

Ahead of Memorial Day weekend, Ticket Stubs heads to the front lines with a towering double feature of modern war epics: Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan (1998) and Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line (1998). Though released within months of one another, the two films approach warfare from radically different angles: one through visceral spectacle and brotherhood under fire, the other through meditative existential reflection and the fragile relationship between man and nature. Join us as we examine how these companion pieces helped redefine the modern war film while wrestling with memory, sacrifice, violence, and the impossibility of making sense of the defining conflict of the 20th century. Before storming the beaches and wandering the tall grass, our Blue Plate Special returns with a fresh batch of cinematic chatter. This time around, we share thoughts on a slate of recent releases, including Maggie Gyllenhaal's long-awaited The Bride!, Lee Cronin's new take on The Mummy, the mysterious romantic drama The Drama, the music-fueled fever dream Mother Mary, and the psychological horror thriller Obsession. Whether you're spending Memorial Day revisiting war movie classics or simply looking for a thoughtful cinematic pairing to kick off the summer season, we're glad to have you with us. Hello and welcome to Don't Spoil the Ending - Episode 60 We're back to a three man pod this week as Sam hosts Ste and JT to talk all things games, TV, film and books. We start by diving into a Joe Schmo segment and the fight to be CM Punk's number one fan. JT talks about the new Exit 8 film based on the cult favourite game and our foreign film correspondent reviews The Swedish connection. We dig into the new Lee Cronin's The Mummy film and Sam doesn't have a fun time watching Greenland 2. Ste and JT take us through their early thoughts on Atomfall, a British based survival game set in an alternative history in the North West of England. JT has a quick review of the Soul Reaver remastered games and Ste updates us on his World of Tanks progress. In recent TV we've watched, Sam talks us through season 1 of the critically acclaimed The Pitt. Ste has been enjoying Dorohedoro, an anime series featuring a half man / half lizard as the main character and the new Zach Galifinakis series, This Is a Gardening Show. JT and Sam indulge in some trash TV watching Temptation Island on Nexflix. Sam carries on a reality TV theme living vicariously through Race Across the World. Our main review this week is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, or should we say of the Nine Kingdoms… 00:00:00 - Intro 00:01:17 - Joe Schmo Segment Film 00:03:18 - Exit 8 (Film) 00:07:44 - The Swedish Connection 00:14:54 - Lee Cronin's The Mummy 00:19:12 - Greenland 2 Games 00:26:30 - Atomfall 00:30:33 - Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered 00:31:42 - World of Tanks TV 00:33:33 - The Pitt 00:46:26 - Dorohedoro 00:51:29 - This is a Gardening Show 00:56:24 - Temptation Island 01:06:26 - Race Across The World Main Review 01:09:39 - A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Get in touch with us:

Given that Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026) is the first version of the classic Universal monster movie to feature actual Egyptian actors, it may technically be the most authentic. But when you consider how much of it takes place in Albuquerque while centering on an American family and taking inspiration from bog mummies in the UK, it's kind of a different story. On our latest episode of Spooky Tuesday, we're unwrapping all of the Evil Dead-esque dressings to get to the bottom of what makes this mummy movie different as we debate what works, what doesn't, and what's only there to gross you out. 1980's In God We Trust was the second film of a three film agreement between actor/director Marty Feldman and Universal Pictures.  Following the success of Feldman's The Last Remake of Beau Geste, In God We Trust was his attempt to call out the excesses and hypocrisy of commercialized religion.  But the film didn't connect with audiences and Universal cancelled Feldman's deal.  His co-stars in the film include a cavalcade of 70's comic geniuses - Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Andy Kaufman and Richard Pryor. Dan and Vicky discuss the little seen film and lots of recently seen like Lee Cronin's The Mummy, Mother Mary, Exit 8, Hamnet, Thrash, The Housemaid, and the Netflix Dan Levy series Big Mistakes. The latest Mummy movie is a gruesome horror story about demonic possession, marking a departure from the blockbuster style of recent Mummy franchise instalments. It's also a bit of a misfire, so we're using this opportunity to look back at the original 1932 Mummy film, its Ancient Egyptian background, and its overlap with other Pre-Code horror classics like Dracula and Frankenstein.

Another fun-filled episode of Nerds Talking is here, and this one covers everything from iconic music legends to the future of gaming itself.Lafayette and Carlos kick things off with a surprisingly deep dive into the highly anticipated biopic Michael. What starts as a review turns into an extended breakdown as they unpack the film's tone, performances, and what it gets right (and wrong) about one of the most legendary entertainers of all time.Carlos then jumps into action with his review of Apex, starring Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton. Does this Netflix entry hit the mark or miss the target? Carlos breaks it down.Next up, the duo tackles the Amazon Prime comedy Balls Up… and let's just say, this one doesn't quite land. Expect some brutally honest (and hilarious) takes.Lafayette takes the spotlight with a trio of reviews, diving into They Will Kill Us, Thrash, and Lee Cronin's take on The Mummy. Along the way, Carlos jumps in with some unexpected and thought-provoking questions that take these reviews in wild and interesting directions. But it's not all movies and streaming—there's some major gaming news you need to hear. A growing global coalition of gamers, developers, and consumer advocates is pushing back against a troubling trend in the industry: games that rely on servers to function—even single-player ones—being shut down and effectively erased. The movement behind StopKillingGames.com is calling for international protections to preserve the games we love. It's a conversation every gamer should be paying attention to.Tune in for laughs, memories, hot takes, and plenty of nerdy insight as Lafayette and Carlos bring humor and energy to your day.
