Written and directed by Lee Cronin, The Mummy is the supernatural horror film which is a reimagining of The Mummy franchise, based on around the Nasmaranian, an ancient Egyptian demon. The young daughter (Natalie Grace) of a journalist (Jack Reynor) disappears into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she's returned to them. However, what should be a joyful reunion soon turns into a living nightmare as she starts to transform into something truly horrifying. We break down all things body horror, bandages, and bad skin.

The goofily named latest from the James Wan/Jason Blum horror universes is a totally different take on The Mummy story than the Tom Cruise or Brendon Fraser era films. This is a straight horror more in the vein of The Conjuring series through with the harder edge of something like Sinister. It's also undeserving of the critical mauling it's got, being a mainly near excellent, straight - gory - horror. I'd put it above near ever Conjuring movie.

But when you consider how much of it takes place in Albuquerque while centering on an American family and taking inspiration from bog mummies in the UK, it's kind of a different story. 1980's In God We Trust was the second film of a three film agreement between actor/director Marty Feldman and Universal Pictures.  Following the success of Feldman's The Last Remake of Beau Geste, In God We Trust was his attempt to call out the excesses and hypocrisy of commercialized religion.  But the film didn't connect with audiences and Universal cancelled Feldman's deal.  His co-stars in the film include a cavalcade of 70's comic geniuses - Peter Boyle, Louise Lasser, Andy Kaufman and Richard Pryor.
