Johnny McGonigal from the Post Gazette joined the show. Johnny is in Birmingham covering the Pittsburgh Maulers. Johnny said so far the quality of football seems to be OK out of the gate, but we'll see how it holds up. He likes our guy, Kyle Lauletta, who is under center for the Maulers. Johnny said it's more of a developmental feel than when the league came out in the 1980's and attempted to be as good as the NFL.
A Steelers insider said CJ Stroud from Ohio State would look good in a Steelers uniform. The guys debated if it would be smarter for the Steelers to punt on taking a QB in this draft and look to 2023 to fill the void of franchise quarterback. New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns Pick Prediction 8/22/2021 by Tony T. Giants at Browns—NFL pick is Cleveland Browns -4. Prefer the quarterback rotation of the Browns in Baker Mayfield, Case Keenum and Kyle Lauletta. Both Keenum and Lauletta have seen NFL regular season action. Keenum nine years in the league and Lauletta is fifth training camp. They beat Jacksonville 23-13 in their opener as Keenum and Lauletta combined for 31 of 44 for 319 yards with two touchdowns. Giants rotation is Daniel Jones, Mike Glennon and Brian Lewerke. The former Spartan Lewerke was signed this week as the team waved Clayton Thorson. New York threw for 58 yards and ran 105 in their 12-7 defeat to the Jets. Prefer the roster makeup of the Browns. Play Cleveland -4.
Day two of joint practices in Berea at the Cross Country Mortgage Campus and we have you covered on today's show. HC Kevin Stefanski (25:54), Chief of Staff Callie Brownson (start of the show), QB Kyle Lauletta (1:13:13) and Browns Legend Joe Thomas (52:24) all join Nathan Zegura on today's show!

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Cleveland Browns vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Pick Prediction 8/14/2021 by Tony T. Browns at Jaguars—NFL pick is Jacksonville Jaguars -2.5. Much anticipated debut for head coach Urban Meyer and his first round pick in Trevor Lawrence. Meyer's rotation at quarterback is Trevor Lawrence, Gardner Minshew, C.J. Beathard and Jake Luton. Minshew was last year's starter and Beathard has NFL playing experience. For Cleveland the rotation is Baker Mayfield, Case Keenum and Kyle Lauletta. Don't expect to see much of Mayfield or even Keenum. Lauletta figures to get a long look in the second half. This if the free preseason for both teams. Meyer would be motivated to get a win here for the home folks in his first home game which is a good angle in preseason. Play Jacksonville -2.5.

12-28-2018 Passed Ball Show- John opens up the show by mentioning Davis Webb and Christian Hackenberg. That should tell you everything you need to know if the New York Giants decide not to play Kyle Lauletta this Sunday in a meaningless game. The Giants have seen Lauletta play, if they do not play him, that is all you need to hear. Once again, hope is that Manny Machado signs a fair deal for him and for baseball- not taking whatever the Yankees offer just because he wants to be a Yankee. The Mets do not have to apologize to anybody for not signing Bryce Harper. After John shares this week's NFL Picks, he talks a little bit about some of the lessons he learned in his first football season of competitive sports gambling. Finally, a Nobody's Listening segment about confrontation and diffusion.
This week David and I recap what was a beatdown of a game. Discuss how FedEx field is a disaster, give out our Game Balls, preview the Titans game and discuss the state of Kyle Lauletta. Dane Martinez and Scott Engel open the show looking at which pass catchers you can rely on in Cleveland, with Scott saying there isn't much to rely on outside of Nick Chubb, and calls David Njoku overrated. Dane looks at the Browns opponent, the Panthers, and if Ian Thomas' athletic ability will give him the starting nod over Greg Olsen come 2019. Dane and Scott question if the fantasy values for guys like Odell Beckham Jr. and Saquon Barkley lower if the Giants decide to start Kyle Lauletta over Eli Manning the rest of the season. Dane credits Josh Allen for being able to properly use his legs in games to make him a viable fantasy option at quarterback. #FNTSY #NFL #fantasyfootball #Browns #BakerMayfield #NickChubb #JarvisLandry #DavidNjoku #Panthers #IanThomas #Bills #JoshAllen #Giants #EliManning #KyleLauletta Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers

Well, well, well, look liked I predicted the score wrong, I thought the Giants would be the ones down 21-0 because Pat Clueless Shurmur would not be running #SaquonTheSavior enough in the first half and Eli would turn the ball over 3 times in the first half that didn't happen because Clueless Shurmur finally used a formula I've been preaching since week 1. Put Engram on slot plays and downfield, put Fowler and Russell Shepard on the field because of their tree tall height, run Saquon, Gallman and the FB was in the offense too and Shep was free and open on lots of plays. Great blocking by Shep. Spread the ball around, run the football it worked. Recaps and defense played good until Kyle Lauletta came in stank up the joint.
