Just getting there, though, was a long, winding race to rival any carrying of the Olympic torch! Pemmy, Krissi and James line up on the track to talk about the mother of all cartoon crossovers!

Hi all you Meddling Kids! After the longest hiatus of all hiatuses, I have some fresh episodes for you On March 14, 2021, I will drop the first half of episodes covering the Laff-A-Lympics season 1! They are shorter episodes, so you will probably be able to breeze through them while I record the next batch, so there will be another wait unfortunately for you. Thank you to everyone who listens and those who will listen in the future. I know how annoying it is when one of your favorite podcasts doesn't post new episodes, trust me!

Remember Scooby's All Star Laff-A-Lympics where various Hanna Barbera characters crossed over to compete against each other in Olympics-style events? Even if you don't, it was really fun, so Amanda VanHiel, Shawn Robare, Rob Graham, and Michael May imagine what that would be like with characters from '80s TV shows and movies.
We invite Hot Flashes and Cool Topics podcasts host and superfan Bridgett onto the show to discuss Kids TV shows! Limited Cel - A Generational Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Review Show
This week, we cover the greatest sporting event in all the land: Scooby-Doo’s All-Star Laff-A-Lympics. AKA, too many hyphens. Limited Cel is a podcast where two generations of cartoon watchers sit down and watch ever series their favorite cartoon producers ever made. Join Nick (the son) and Mike (the dad) Wood as they watch, catalog, and review some of the best and the worst Hanna-Barbera has to offer.
Luke and Evan do not burst out into a rendition of Queen's "We Are the Champions" because they're not hacks. They also don't make any attempts to sound out the Chariots of Fire theme. Though if you really think about it, maybe that's because covering the Laff-A-Lympics didn't really feel like winning. Weeks after the 2018 Olympic Games came to a close in PyeongChang, South Korea, the Scooby Dudes decide to tackle a series that one would assume best fits the Olympic values of Friendship, Respect, and Excellence. Instead they find themselves having to embody the Paralympic values of Determination, Inspiration, Courage, and Equality in an attempt to get through the whole thing.
Attack of the Killer Soundtrack - Episode 40 This October we decided to have a horror-themed listening party as we settle in with our pumpkin lattes and bust out some fun, spooky tunes from movie soundtracks! And while we decide which bands we know specifically from soundtracks, we also discuss... trying to bottle his own lightning, tied flannels, fan fervor, modern Edgar Allen Poe stuff, does he have any limbs left at this point, a little bit crazy, werewolves, gourde pie, Ready Player One, Dairy Queen, Becky from Full House, Wes Craven, Hanna-Barbera, look at all those dead kids waving at me, I saw that movie three times in the theater, Rodney Dangerfield, scoring the debate, seeing bands live back in the day, angsty-relationshipy, the flavor of Halloween, Jesse Eisenberg, had to have a twist, puffer vest, an R-rated Scooby-Doo, Jiffy-Pop, Back to the Future, they took bimbo to the Nth level, reboot hate, Laff-A-Lympics, are you even acting... or are you just like this all the time?, a 90's sound, more focus on the writing, it just doesn't fit the movie that needs to be made, Coming to America, Lifeforce, a prerequisite in Hollywood, another after-effect of Scream, dude was layered, James Gunn, there's nothing that kids love more then other dead children, access to limited things, playing instruments, spitting the coffee, pop some popcorn in our new microwave, creepy uke, Parker Posey, Dr. Seuss, you don't understand the concept of art, comedy horror and is it about the movie... or is it about selling CDs? Spoiler Alert: Spoilers for all of the Scream movies... deal with it. "Oh man, I wore that out. That's one of those CDs I played to the point it wouldn't play anymore. Like the disc just skipped so much, that I was like... I had to buy the soundtrack a second time." Special thanks to Gallery K, for more info go to: http://www.galleryk.net/

Improvisor and Podcaster Josiah Jenkins exercises his right to remain hilarious as we talk Hanna Barbera cartoons, TV shows that overstayed their welcomes, people (still) paying for AOL and touring a prison. Also, he was a filthy telemarketer, but don't hold that against him. The PopFury Podcast has moved! Please visit us on our new website at PopFuryPodcast.com! SHOW NOTES: 0:00 Intro 0:55 Sammy wonders who Josiah is related to and it leads to a deep dive into Hannah Barbera cartoons like Wacky Races and Laff-A-Lympics. In related animated news, Brad Bird will be doing The Incredibles 2. 6:30 Josiah is a lawyer and explains how court proceedings really work. Sammy doubts Josiah was a good law student. Josiah wishes he could use a fake name on Facebook. 13:25 Olympus Has Fallen has an upcoming sequel: London Has Fallen. 16:00 NBC has thrown in the towel on sitcoms. Josiah defends The Slap, is digging Brooklyn Nine-Nine and identifies with Michael from Arrested Development (according to Sammy). 27:00 We ponder what TV shows that may have gone on too long. Growing up, Josiah wasn't allowed to watch Friends or Seinfeld. 33:00 A Chinese amusement park has a cremation simulator. 37:25 Congressional Representatives are holding fundraisers at a Taylor Swift concert. Josiah used to be a telemarketer in high school. 43:55 2.1 Million people still pay AOL for dial-up internet. Josiah suspects his mom thought he was gay. 52:00 A chlamydia outbreak has hit a school with abstinence-only sex ed curriculum. 55:10 A man smuggled heroin in his foreskin. This reminds Josiah of the time he toured a prison and he shares his experiences and thoughts. 1:01.25 Parents, who waived their Miranda rights, admitted they used cocaine and marijuana to bargain with their kids to do chores.
