Feeding the Machine: The Hidden Human Labor Powering A.I. Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead作者:Sheryl Sandberg(Nell Scovell 合著)出版社:Knopf(英文原版)出版日期:2013年3月《Lean In》是全球影响力最大的职场女性主义著作之一。 然而各种麻烦与是非接踵而来,昔日的好友也反目成仇……《The Internet Galaxy: Reflections on the Internet, Business, and Society》作者:Manuel Castells出版社:Oxford University Press出版日期:2002 年曼努埃尔·卡斯特尔斯是全球信息时代的顶尖思想家之一。 《Custodians of the Internet: Platforms, Content Moderation, and the Hidden Decisions That Shape Social Media》作者:Tarleton Gillespie出版社:Yale University Press出版日期:2018 年大多数用户希望他们的推特动态、脸书主页和YouTube评论区不受骚扰和色情内容的干扰。 《The Last Human Job: The Work of Connecting in a Disconnected World》作者:Allison J. Pugh出版社:Princeton University Press出版日期:2024 年本书探讨了随着人工智能和自动化技术(如自助结账和自动化工厂)的快速发展,未来的工作形态变得极不确定,甚至需要高度人际互动的职业也不再安全。

On this Saturday edition, Mike Pesca reaches into the archives for a 2016 classic with actor and author Jesse Eisenberg. They discuss Eisenberg's short story collection Bream Gives Me Hiccups and the "creek vs. crick" linguistic controversy it sparked, while analyzing why a nine-year-old restaurant critic is the perfect vessel for exposing adult hypocrisies. Eisenberg explains why he prefers writing dialogue to describing sunsets, reveals the existence of a spreadsheet tracking whether he or Paul Newman played a role better, and admits that his anthropology background is just an excuse for professional eavesdropping. Finally, the two perform the radio play "Marv Albert Is My Therapist". In which the Mister joins me in reviewing A REAL PAIN (2024), from writer/director Jesse Eisenberg. Estranged cousins David (Jesse Eisenberg) and Ben (Kieran Culkin) reunite on a flight to Poland after the death of their beloved grandmother to take part in a Holocaust heritage tour intended to honor her memory. The trip forces the perpetually anxious David and the confidently detached Benji to confront their complicated relationship and contrasting personalities while navigating the emotional weight of their family history. As they travel through Poland, the cousins struggle to find meaning in their grandmother's past and their own fractured present, leading to a raw and often funny exploration of grief and Jewish identity. The film clocks in at 1 h and 30 m, is rated R and we caught it on Hulu/Disney+ but it's also available to buy/rent on Prime Video. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.#ARealPain #JesseEisenberg #David #KieranCulkin #Benji #Drama #Comedy #FamilyDrama @Hulu @DisneyPlus @PrimeVideo #FridayFamilyFilmNightOpening intro music: GOAT by Wayne Jones, courtesy of YouTube Audio Library

Daniel Parra reviews the 3rd installment in the "Now You See Me" franchise. The star-studded cast returns including Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Freeman, and they're joined by newcomers Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, and Dominic Sessa. The question is, is the magic of this heist franchise retained? How are the new setpieces? The new tricks? If you're looking for a complete breakdown of Now You See Me: Now You Don't you've come to the right place! The real question is...Did you love it, did you hate it, or are you Somewhere Between on it!?
This is the 3rd film the series following the previous 2 films from 2013 & 2016 and this film was directed by Ruben Fleischer and sees Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman & Mark Ruffalo all return to their respective roles. Lizzy Caplan also returns from the previous film as well as Isla Fisher who was in the 2013 film but not the 2016 sequel. Joining the cast is Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt & Rosemund Pike. In this film, when a new group of young magicians begin impersonating The Four Horseman, they both positive and negative attention and then must join force with the original group for heist from a jewel company that may be a front for much more nefarious business plan. After the moderate success of the 2016, plans for sequel began in 2017 but didn't get off the ground until 2022. The film hit theaters worldwide on November 14th, 2025.
The magicians are back! The third installment in the Now You See Me franchise is in theaters, and Matt & Ashley review it in this episode.
James Cameron-Wilson likes #1 Now You See Me: Now You Don't as much as the first in the trilogy. Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are joined by younger actors as magicians mounting a heist. He particularly cares for the details and the allusions. #2 is Edgar Wright's take on The Running Man with Glen Powell. But despite the big budget, the main character is unsympathetic, the plot makes little sense and the product placement is appallingly blatant. As a fan of French horror, he likes #27 Alpha from Julia Ducournau. It deserves two viewings before the pieces will fall into place. Learn more about your ad choices. And we learn about two brave Hollywood actresses -- Meryl Streep and Sigourney Weaver -- who haven't joined the boycott Israel movement and are signed on to work with Israeli director Joseph Ceder in his upcoming thriller. Next, we get to "The Main Screening," a segment in which the duo discusses two films: the newly released Natalie Portman project, "Arco," and 2024's "Thelma" starring 96-year-old June Squibb. Sean and Amanda are joined by Van Lathan to cover two new releases that they collectively had mixed feelings about. Before diving in, though, they theorize about why the fall movie slate has been such a huge disappointment both commercially and critically and what it represents for the industry at large going forward (0:34). Then, they break down Edgar Wright's new action film, ‘The Running Man,' starring Glen Powell, which they found deeply messy but also full of impressively staged action scenes (28:01). Next, they unpack the new magician legacy sequel ‘Now You See Me: Now You Don't,' starring Jesse Eisenberg and Dave Franco. They explain their personal relationship with the original films and why Rosamund Pike was born to play an evil diamond heiress villain, and they hypothesize about what its potential box office chances are (59:23). Finally, Edgar Wright joins Sean to discuss the evolving landscape of studio filmmaking, how he constructs an elaborate action set piece, and the amazing story about how Powell was cast for the lead part (1:15:55). The Cinematic Schematic is back with another special “on the road” edition to review Now You See Me, Now You Don't. It's been 12 years since the social justice magician troupe, the Four Horsemen (played by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, and Dave Franco), made their big-screen debut in 2013. The “Ocean's Eleven with magicians” heist thriller may have been a relative dud with critics, but that didn't stop it from being a box office hit. The first film grossed $351 million worldwide and spawned a sequel, Now You See Me 2, which also performed similarly in 2016. The world has changed since 2016. There's been a global pandemic, two new presidencies, and TikTok and AI have changed the world of social media. theaters on November 14 from Lionsgate. For Fleischer, returning to work with Eisenberg and Harrelson was a huge draw, but it wasn't the only draw. “It was a combination of factors,” he said. “Definitely a desire to work with Jesse and Woody again. This was my fourth movie with each of them. They're great collaborators, super funny, brilliant actors. I just absolutely love working with them.” He was also a fan of the original franchise and, as he put it, “a huge fan of magic.” Those factors made it an easy yes. “It seemed like it would be a lot of fun and it played to my strengths of making a super fun movie for audiences.”
