Diet culture, ever-changing beauty trends, and the constant stream of "What I Eat in a Day" videos from influencers can disrupt your connection with your body's true needs, affecting how you nourish yourself. In Volume 3 of Beyond with B, Bridgett reflects on her experiences as a model during the late '90s "Waif Era," when ultra-thin figures dominated the fashion scene. Surrounded by disordered eating patterns, she unknowingly developed her own method of intuitive eating, Mind Your Body, Mind Your Plate—a self-care framework that integrates intuition, emotion, and rational thought—which she used to maintain her mental health. Join Bridgett as she guides you through her method. This approach aims to help you achieve peace with your body by releasing micromanagement and encouraging meaningful connections during meals with family and friends.Subscribe to the newsletter: https://beyondbeautyproject.myflodesk.com/newsletter Learn about Keynotes & Workshops: https://www.beyondbeautyproject.com/workwithme For more, you can follow Beyond Beauty Project on Instagram, YouTube, and visit our website!Produced by Peoples Media Hosted on Acast. Journaling has been part of Bridgett's life since she was seven—a way to process thoughts and reflect without turning to others. During her healing from miscarriages and a modeling career, her practice took a new direction. She opened a journal and wrote, "Dear Body, I'm Sorry."That simple sentence shifted everything in Bridgett's relationship with her body. What started as an apology turned into love letters—a way to build a stronger connection founded on gratitude and deep understanding. Over time, those letters evolved from I'm sorry to I honor you and I cherish you. Along the way, Bridgett realized something simple but powerful: bodies are supposed to change. In this solo episode, B shares how journaling helped her reconnect with her body and how this practice expanded her view of the mind-body-spirit connection. It also led to the creation of the Dear Body journals—so others in the Beyond Beauty Project community can experience the same kind of reflection and healing. If you've ever struggled with how you speak to your body, this episode is for you.Subscribe to the newsletter: https://beyondbeautyproject.myflodesk.com/newsletter Learn about Keynotes & Workshops: https://www.beyondbeautyproject.com/workwithme For more, you can follow Beyond Beauty Project on Instagram, YouTube, and visit our website!Produced by Peoples Media Hosted on Acast. Tera Wages is joined by Bridgett Blood and Phyllis Hill to explore the concept of Psycholation—a state of psychological isolation where people experience emotions alone, even when surrounded by others. They discuss how past experiences can make us want to keep pain to ourselves and the impact it has on relationships and mental well-being. Bridgett shares how she overcame isolation, while Phyllis and Tera get into the importance of safe connections and finding trusted people to process emotions with. They also provide steps for breaking out of Psycholation, including identifying safe relationships, expressing needs, and seeking supportive communities. Tonight is session one “How to Pace Games Like a Pro.” Our first class is pretty fundamental, and I think is one of the most important skills we can develop as GMs. And as mentioned previously, we asked our backers for inputs on these topics and many people wanted to know more about how to best pace their games. This was proved by all the specific questions we got from those same backers when we asked them - what do you want to know about pacing? So most of these questions come from our backers, with some Bridgett and Dave specifics thrown in along the way. Shall we begin?
In this episode, Bridgett sits down with Pasha Marlowe (she/they), a mental health professional with over 30 years of experience and a leading advocate for neuroinclusion and accessibility. Pasha shares their insights on the neurodiversity paradigm, shedding light on the misconceptions and biases surrounding neurodivergence. Through their lived experiences as a therapist and coach, Pasha explains how neurodivergence intersects with mental health, disability, and LGBTQIA+ identities, urging listeners to embrace the unmasking of their true selves.Bridgett and Pasha also explore the vital importance of representation and awareness in dismantling societal norms that marginalize neurodivergent individuals. They discuss the empowering journey of self-compassion and self-care, especially when navigating life as a neurodivergent person in a world often designed for neurotypicality. Kristina Bruce is a certified Change Coach who specializes in helping women feel good in their bodies. She guides women to recognize and trust their Inner Wisdom so they can live in a way that is authentic and empowering. She does this through one-on-one coaching, workshops, and courses at kristinabruce.com. Kristina shares her personal journey, which led her to today's work of worthiness and Inner Wisdom. She shares her experience about the societal pressures to "stay small" and the impact of generational conditioning on body image. As she expanded her self-development path, Kristina began to question these deeply ingrained beliefs; she recognized the historical roots of body image issues and the conditioning passed down by society. Through inner work and accessing her own inner guidance, she started to distinguish the conditioned mind from her true self. She challenges societal conditioning and external validation, encouraging listeners to let go of control, embrace change, and live authentically. Bridgett and Kristina dive into the barriers to body acceptance and the journey toward true freedom, exploring how we can rewire our beliefs and tune into our Inner Wisdom. Bridget Bernadette Phillips, a 22-year-old graduate student at Johns Hopkins University, was brutally murdered on March 22, 1989, in her off-campus Baltimore apartment. Bridget, who was studying Medieval and Byzantine history, was found bludgeoned to death near the entrance of her apartment, with no signs of robbery or sexual assault. Investigators collected forensic evidence, including hairs under her fingernails and a bloody shoe print, but despite early leads, the case went cold and remains unsolved to this day. The ferocity of the attack suggested a personal motive, but no suspects were ever definitively identified(commercial at 7:27)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
