The RodPod is back! Maggie and the two Jons cover issues 13 of Robots in Disguise and More Than Meets the Eye, as well as Spotlight: Megatron, as we continue our coverage of IDW: Phase 2 Transformers comics. In MTMTE 13, more meta jokes than you can shake a psychic paper at, Ultra Magnus gets drunk, and we learn a secret about Swerve, which would be the most shocking reveal of the episode if it weren't for what's coming. Spotlight: Megatron adds some context and depth to Megatron and Starscream's releationship, which we, of course, talk about in purely sexual terms. And RID 13, which has that shocking reveal I mentioned. The last few issues have had some pretty insane last page cliffhangers, but you are not going to see the end of this one coming. Also, Maggie and Jonathan talk about an incident in baseball history without providing enough context, and we respond as only we can to reader feedback. It's Halloween, so that must mean that it's the return of Mephisto Vs. the Podcasters! This year, Jon and Maggie from Married With Comics join Sean to talk about the infamous Freezes Over arc from Hellblazer. Join us as we delve into the depths of icy madness and learn what long, cold winters can do to the soul.
It's a double dose of Married With Comics as this episode gets you not one, but two entire married couples, a total of four people! We learn that the Baileys had once planned to start a podcast with the same name as ours, but we got there first, so the four of us have no choice but to fight to the death to determine who is truly married with comics. Actually that does not happen at all, and we have a pleasant conversation about Superfriends, a two part story from Batman #36 and #37 by Tom King and Clay Mann. Maggie keeps calling the story, "Double Date" because it's right there on the cover, so Double Date it shall be! Special Thanks to Yannick Bizoo Lefèvre for his amazing cover of "Superman" by Lazlo Bane check him out on Youtube here.
It All Comes Back To Superman continues the JLMAY 2020 fun with the second of a three part series of episodes covering what Superman was up to during the Countdown to Infinite Crisis event! This time out I team up with Jon and Maggie of Married With Comics to talk about the VERY IMPORTANT SUPERMAN; SACRIFICE storyline!

Throughout his life, Gene Colan brought his truly unique art style to the pages of Batman, The Tomb of Dracula, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, The Avengers, Howard the Duck, Doctor Strange, The Spectre, and so many others. The new series of Daredevil is so good that we needed the help of Daredevil expert J David Weter, (whom you can call Dave) from Dave's Daredevil Podcast to cover issue #1. We discuss all sorts of Hornhead-related stuff. Like, Is Matt Murdock an addict? And will his addiction lead to him killing someone? Also, is Stilt-Man's thing just stilts? And why would you take Matt to a circus, Foggy and Karen? You jerks! All of these questions will be answered! Well...all of these questions will at least be posed! To find out which, download this thing!

A new episode of Married With Comics is ready for your auditory pleasure! Join Jon and Maggie as they discuss their favorite comics while being married the entire time! We go old school this time around, as we dive into 1939's "Batman vs The Vampire" from Detective Comics 32 and 33. Explore the 5th appearance of the Dark Knight Detective, as aspects of the character that still exist today are born, as well as some that were thankfully abandoned. Wonder with us whether or not the writers of this issue knew the difference between a vampire and a werewolf, along with craziness of lunar cycles as well as how far a prototype helicopter could fly in 1939. Listen as we discuss the wisdom of travelling Europe in the first month of World War 2. Listen also as Maggie finds a way to drop the fact that she's been overseas into the conversation, as well as Jon managing to mention his college major with even less relevance to the conversation. Listen also for the debut of our Fireside Favorites segment. This time around, Jon talks about Marvel's own Billionaire with a cape and cowl fetish, Moon Knight. A new episode of Married With Comics is hot off the pod presses. Join Jon and Maggie as they discuss their favorite comics while facing the challenges of being newlyweds! This episode is the first in our Maggie Loves Batman series, where we discuss various Batman comics from throughout his nearly 80 years of existence to explore Maggie's fandom of the character. We start with Batman #432, which is the first Batman issue that Jon bought off the rack, back in 1989. It's by Christopher Priest and Jim Aparo, and features Batman dressed like a fireman fighting FBI agents. Which is pretty danged cool. Listen also as Jon continues to butcher creators' names and Maggie tries to add "Resting Batman Face" to nerd lingo. Join us on Married With Comics as a lovable pair of newlyweds (at least we think so) talk about all things comics and have a great time and many laughs along the way! We complete our coverage of a comic Jon and Maggie bought on their honeymoon, Superman Vs The Amazing Spider Man! Join us as the "Vs" part gets full coverage. There is a fight, and there is a winner, but it doesn't go the way you'd probably think. Send your feedback to marriedwcomics@gmail.com or leave a comment on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast/
Welcome to the pilot episode of Married With Comics, a loveable (at least we think so) husband and wife team paraphrasing panels, explaining exposition, and commenting on all their favorite comics! Both our marriage and this podcast are incredibly new, so beat the rush and take a listen so you can tell all your friends that you were our fans before we were cool. (We imagine that there will be a time when we will be cool. We have a good feeling about these things.) Join Maggie and Jon as they read and review a comic they bought on their honeymoon, which Jon had read when he was 4 years old and Maggie had never seen before this, Superman Vs the Amazing Spider-man. Jon demonstrates a staggering inability to pronounce creators' last names properly and Maggie is incapable of hiding her dislike of Jimmy Olsen, but a good time is had by all. (Well, them at least, but they think you'll get a kick out of them) Thanks so much for listening! You can find us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/MWCPodcast/
Swastika Fidget Spinner Hello, and welcome to episode 239 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week, we're finally bring to a completely satisfying (honest, guv) conclusion this multi-annual story involving multiple divergent World War IIs, time-travelling vibranium, mimetic Watchers, and underwhelming period superhero teams. Yes, it's Marvel Two-in-One #20, featuring the Liberty Legion, in their last attempt at standing in the spotlight in the 1970s. Returning to join us for this episode is Michael Bailey, currently the most prominent Liberty Legion fan to be found within this episode. He's here to try and explain how gyroscopes can affect the power of brain and eyeballs in a jar welded to a giant flying swastika, and to show us why Gerry Anderson hipsters are the worst of the puppet hipsters. Michael Bailey is the host of numerous podcasts, including From Crisis To Crisis: A Superman Podcast, Views From The Longbov, The Overlooked Dark Knight, the upcoming Married With Comics, and the upcoming It All Comes Back To Superman. The Podcast With Everything But Yuuuul Brynner! Hello, and welcome to episode 238 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. This week, we're doing something new on The Fantasticast. Marvel Two-in-One is going giant sized with Annual #1. Picking up the story threads of Fantastic Four Annual #11, the Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Thing heads back to World War II (via the world's slowest time machine), teaming up with the Liberty Legion to retrieve half of a vibranium cylinder. As you do. Returning to The Fantasticast to help us cover this issue is former guest-host, voice of The Thing, podcaster, and fan of obscure World War II superhero teams, Michael Bailey. He's on hand to explain Roy Thomas's Time Wedge, The Thing's things, and exactly what happens when you find yourself rubbing against the crotch seams of the trousers of time. Michael Bailey is the host of numerous podcasts, including From Crisis To Crisis: A Superman Podcast, Views From The Longbov, The Overlooked Dark Knight, the upcoming Married With Comics, and the upcoming It All Comes Back To Superman.
