Give credit to Jets GM Darren Mougey for continuing to lock up his quality young players by signing center Joe Tippmann to a four-year extension. The deal will pay Tippmann up to $62 million with half of that guaranteed. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/72534900/download.mp3 Tippmann becomes latest piece of the Jets puzzle to be given a new deal by Mougey who has also inked Garrett Wilson, Jeremy Ruckert, Breece Hall and (briefly) Sauce Gardner. By extending Tippmann, the Jets have three of their five offensive line spots filled for at least the next few seasons with Olu Fashanu at left tackle and Armand Membou at right tackle. Donald Parham and Josh Myers are projected to start at left guard and center respectively. According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, the deal makes Tippmann the 15th-highest paid guard in the NFL. Perhaps the most important aspect of the Joe Tippmann extension is that the Jets continue to put an offense in place that should be a nice landing spot for whichever quarterback they take with their first pick in next year’s draft. Mougey hasn’t only worked to steady the O-line, but has extended Wilson while trading for AD Mitchell, re-signing Breece Hall and drafting Omar Cooper Jr., Kenyon Sadiq and Mason Taylor. The post Jets Reward Joe Tippmann With Four-Year Extension appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum. Grounded for much of the past decade, has Jets GM Darren Mougey finally put together an offense that can rise from total embarrassment, to mere respectability with an occasional “light up the scoreboard” type of performance? The idea may not be all that far fetched in looking at the personnel the Jets have added. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/71889376/download.mp3 Plenty of skeptics laughed at the addition of quarterback Geno Smith, but the fact of the matter is that Smith is a much improved player since the last time he wore Green and White, and has a chance to produce at a level the Jets haven’t seen since the days of Ryan Fitzpatrick. If the signing of free agent guard Dylan Parham can shore up the offensive line, Smith should have plenty of time to operate with Olu Fashanu, Parham, Josh Myers, Joe Tippman and Armand Membou up front. Darren Mougey using a pair of draft picks on Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper and tight end Kenyon Sadiq gives offensive coordinator Frank Reich some dynamic pieces to work with. Adding the young rookies to an offense that already has Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall (for now), and Mason Taylor in place could have the Jets offense being a threat to actually put up a lot of points. The x-factor in all of this is wide receiver AD Mitchell. Obtained from the Colts as part of last season’s Sauce Gardner trade, Mitchell was once viewed as a first round draft pick. While he fell out of round 1, he still went in the second round (52nd overall) and did flash at times last year for Gang Green. If Mitchell can get even close to his ceiling in this offense, the Jets could potentially have three dynamic receivers with a pair of tight ends, especially in Sadiq, who can create a fair number of mismatches for opposing defenses. The post How Much Will Darren Mougey Moves Improve Jets Offense? appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum. Shaun Morash claimed he had inside info that Mougey was telling people not to come to the Jets because they are a disaster. Boomer answers that.
A lot of football talk to start the show. The no doubt truth, Matt Nagy is now the O.C. of the Giants. What's not true, Darren Mougey going around saying he's out of a job n a year.
Who did? Glenn? Mougey? Woody? Here's the whole first part of the show as we try to figure out what's going on.
After finishing the 2025 season with a 3-14 record, their worst since 2020, it's clear that the Jets' brain trust of Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey need to make serious changes to avoid a quick exit in the coming 2026 season. Hour 4: Darren Mougey & Aaron Glenn Speak but Did They Say Anything?
FULL SHOW: Evan and Shaun debate if Kevin Stefanski is the right hire as the new Giants Head Coach. Plus, reacting to Mougey and Glenn's press conference, Yankees offseason talk, Bill Belichick is not a legitimate HC candidate for the Giants, the Knicks have looked lifeless since the NBA Cup, and much more.
Evan and Shaun listen to Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey meet the media and react in real time, pausing after each answer to break down what was actually said… and what wasn't. The Jets leadership promises to “exhaust every option” at quarterback, but the follow-ups (or lack of them) leave a lot hanging in the air. They debate whether the Fields signing was a clear mistake, why Glenn keeps hijacking answers meant for Mougey, and how much confidence fans should have in this staff's ability to develop a young QB. Plus, the guys kick around potential defensive coordinator candidates (including a big name idea), question the bold “we can be competitive next year” claim, and point out why Jets talk always seems to turn into motivational slogans instead of real substance.
Gang’s All Here: A NY Jets Football Podcast from New York Post Sports
The New York Jets just finished one of the most embarrassing seasons in franchise history at 3–14 — and now GM Darren Mougey and Head Coach Aaron Glenn are asking fans to believe in their vision. On this episode of Gang's All Here, Ryan Sampson, Frankie Vittorini, and NY Post Jets beat writer Brian Costello tear apart the Jets' end-of-season press conference and ask the hard questions no one else will. Was anything said actually convincing? Is this a real plan or another round of Jets spin? Should Aaron Glenn be trusted to lead a rebuild after this collapse? And how much blame belongs to Mougey for the roster and organizational failures? No excuses. No coach-speak. Just honest, heated debate about whether the Jets are moving forward — or stuck in the same losing cycle fans have seen for decades. Those fans hoping to see the new York Jets select Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza in the NFL draft with the first overall pick won’t be thrilled with the way things have played out in recent days. Even after losing yesterday’s meeting with the Patriots, the Jets are unlikely to have a shot at Mendoza. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/69243781/download.mp3 With the Raiders losing their game to the New York Giants, they hop up to pick number 1 and realistically, need a quarterback just as badly as the Jets do. Sure, they’ve got Geno Smith, but he’s a quarterback at a point in his career where he should be replaced. Head coach Pete Carroll’s future with the Raiders is uncertain which could mean a full reboot in Vegas with a new head coach and QB. And what better time to do it than when you have the top pick in the draft? Some have suggested the Jets “trade up no matter what the cost”, but that assumes the QB needy Raiders are dying to swap places with the QB needy Jets and move forward without a signal caller of their own. While it is possible the Oregon QB Dante Moore could declare, the Jets will have to ask themselves if they’d be willing to hand the franchise over to yet another inexperienced college quarterback. Given how things worked out with Mark Sanchez, Sam Darnold’s first few seasons and Zach Wilson, that could mean extending their playoff drought a few years closer to the two-decade mark. It’s never easy with the Jets, and things just got a lot harder. The post Moving up for top Pick Just got Tougher for Mougey, Jets appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum.

BT & Sal torch the Giants' inaction at the trade deadline, arguing that Joe Shane and Brian Daboll should both be fired, and that the failure to move players like Evan Neal and Jalen Hyatt is a sign of a failing regime. The hosts contrast this with the Jets' bold, clear direction under GM Muji, celebrating the assets gained and the mitigation of risk for their future quarterback. They spark a heated debate over whether a franchise QB (Jackson Dart) is more valuable than the right GM/Head Coach structure. Later, the conversation explodes into the Sydney Sweeney Hall Pass debate, as Hoff floats the idea of making her his hall pass, leading Sal to reveal his own A-list hall pass list, where Jessica Alba trumps Sweeney, along with the "cuddle and Netflix" clause. Finally, the segment concludes with Three Random Questions: Do you need to leave a tip at a smoothie place? Would you ever clone a pet? Are you obligated to return serve when someone unexpectedly pays the entire dinner bill?
BT & Sal go absolutely nuclear over the New York Jets' shocking trade deadline, dissecting the blockbusters that sent All-Pros Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams out of town. They debate if GM Mougey's move is a brilliant, asset-stockpiling "Masterclass" for a true rebuild or a total fan betrayal and a full-scale tank. The hosts torch the Giants' inaction, arguing their "D.O.A." regime is a clear sign that Joe Shane and Brian Daboll must go. The fiery discussion pivots to the Jets' next QB, with listener calls proposing Dak Prescott and Kyler Murray for the "Draft Haul."
