Luke 13:31-35
SERIES: Epiphany MomentsWhere in the world does one find lasting glory? Conquering nations? Championships? Awards? Any glory one finds in these is fleeting and misleading. Matthew has been about the ‘outsider being brought inside', and the outsider is any human (because we are all sinners). Jesus is now into His last week, before His crucifixion, in Jerusalem. It has not been a calm week – it has been a week of conflict and confrontation. It has been a week of plotting (by the religious and political authorities), and a week of truth-telling (by Jesus). The King has come to His ‘capital' and His ‘people', and they are actively opposed to Him. As we resume, the conflict and the traps are reaching their climax… and so is the revelation of who Jesus is!

"God led the people around by the desert road." Ex 13:18 NIVThe Bible says, "When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, 'If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt. So God led the people around by the desert road" (vv. 17-18 NIV). There is a lesson here for you. God knows where you are on your spiritual journey, and He is directing you accordingly, even when it seems like a roundabout way. "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives" (Ps 37:23 NLT). The shortest route from Egypt to the promised land was through enemy territory, and God knew His people were not ready for battle. "God said, 'If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt. So God led the people around by the desert road." Getting God's people out of Egypt proved to be the easy part; getting Egypt out of God's people proved to be the hard part. After forty generations of depending on Pharaoh, they needed to know God, learn His ways, and trust Him. So, He arranged their journey accordingly. Are you having a wilderness experience at the moment? Be encouraged. The fulfillment of what God promised you may be taking longer than you thought, but it's not time wasted. And God is not punishing you;He is training you for your destiny. What should you do? (1) Spend time with Him in prayer and His Word. (2) Lean less on yourself and more on God. (3) Draw on His grace and follow His guidance.Support the Show.Changing Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

But often times those stories of blame & shame, drive us to isolate more and more from the very relationships that would bring us life! Join us as we follow one very broken family as God brings something beautiful out of the garbage of their lives! (Genesis 12-37 - April 14, 2024)
When we face disappointment or loss, we automatically pull back, and immediately begin to tell ourselves a story to make sense of the pain, but if we fail to grieve that loss, we will find ourselves living in a smaller and smaller place, further and further from the life of abundance God has for us! So join us as we begin our journey to get God's perspective and His breakthrough where we need it most! (April 7, 2024)
There is something very close to the heart of Jesus in Isaiah 58. Jesus announced his own calling with similar words, "The Spirit of God has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives..." Isaiah 58 is a beautiful portrait of the "more" we are preparing for during this season of Lent. - A light in darkness--healing for wounds--God's got our backs - God's immediate presence hearing us and guiding us - Never-failing streams of water for dry souls - So watered by the overflow God that we refresh others - Being used by God to rebuild what has been destroyed We just need to get God's attention. Fasting is less about getting God's attention and more about becoming the kind of people who have His heart and get His attention!

" Many cultures throughout history have attached profound spiritual and cultural significance to dreams. Dreams have inspired countless works of literature, art, and film. Dreams are a common part of the human experience, and they have been the subject of much study and speculation throughout history. They have often been viewed as messages from the Divine and sources of guidance.Dreams in Scriptures have often been a means of divine communication. God uses dreams to convey messages, guidance, and revelations to individuals. In the Old Testament, God spoke to figures like Abraham, Jacob, and Joseph through dreams, providing them with important instructions and insights. biblical narratives are inspired by dreams and visions.Even in the story of Joseph, once he had a God dream, his brothers thought to kill him and enslave the dream and the dreamer. Likewise today, perhaps the greatest threat to Divine dreams is a "Religious Spirit".In this episode of Keep it 100, we talk about the prophetic significance of dreams and have a conversation with The Altar Global movement's founder Jeremiah Johnson.website: www.seanandchristasmith.cominstagram: @revseansmith @mrschristasmithYouTube:: https://www.youtube.com/@seanandchristasmithministriesFacebook: @seanandchristasmithministries
