Jan. 17, 2024 ~ JR Morning Co-Host Jamie Edmonds joins Paul W to recap the Roger Goodell speech that was held today at Ford Field about the NFL Draft.
In the third hour of Wednesday's BBMS, Ed and Jeremy start off with a trip to the World of Stupid, followed by a recap of O's vs Yanks. It was a tough loss in extras, but is it just one of the pitfalls of a long season? BBT's Ryan Ripken then joins us with his thoughts on the O's and what's next for the team as they try to bounce back. To close the hour out, Ed and Jeremy debate the job that Roger Goodell has done as NFL Commissioner as his deal looks to be extended. Is he good for the game or just the owners?
John expLains why reports that Roger Goodell will be extended as NFL Commish, the difference between elite and bottom feeder franchises approach free agency, why the Texans re-signing LT Laremy Tunsil was a no-brainer, why Odell Beckham is delusional about his value, why he likes the Cowboys sigining oft dealt WR Brandin Cooks, and why “football schools” are seeing success bleed over into the NCAA Tournament. Hey Yo GK Nitez! Let's get into that Deshaun Watson talk. He's gotten 6 game suspension for Sexual misconduct but wasn't prosecuted for any assault. Should the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell continue with the in order to give Watson further suspension? Is that fair compared to the NFL owners' slap in the wrist when they "embarrass the shield?" (16:45) In Addition... Should the Rock try to muscle his way into making the Black Adam as the centerpiece of the DC Cinematic Universe; even though Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern and others have more stories to be told? And he is an anti-hero, will that make sense? IDK... Let's talk about it!
Jalen and Jacoby talk about the Roger Goodell's comments on the Watson suspension, and whether the discipline should be extended. Discuss if the Patriots offense broken, and KD giving Joe Tsai an ultimatum. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In the four o'clock hour of Clint Stoerner & The Show, news arrives of Roger Goodell speaking at the NFL owners meetings.. Will Watson face discipline from the league?
Roger Goodell became commissioner of the NFL in 2006. In the past two years he has made more than 120 million dollars. He makes a ton of money for his 32 bosses, the NFL owners, but one must wonder if his time is coming to an end. Goodell's record on policing his league has been wildly inconsistent and under his watch the league has failed miserably regarding minority hiring. Do you trust Goodell leading the NFL? Do you have confidence in him to make the right decisions? I think the answer to those questions by many is no! In today's episode I read a series of articles and headlines about Goodell pointing out his inconsistencies as commissioner. I also discuss the leaked emails from the Washington Football Team investigation that cost Raiders coach Jon Gruden his job. The list of suspicious activity under Goodell to me has really hurt his credibility as the leader of the NFL. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

There are less than 24 hours until the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft is officially underway. This year presents an interesting twist to the draft as the vast majority of it will be conducted in the homes of those participating, including the NFL Commish himself. Chris Ballard, Frank Reich and their scouting staff have worked tirelessly for months upon months to get to this point in order to boost the skill of the Indianapolis Colts' roster. The boom stage of free agency has ended, and the Colts have made a few moves. Now, it's time for the team to use the draft for their bread and butter additions for the future of the organization. Today, Matt Danely will discuss some of the pertinent news surrounding the team over the past couple weeks, including how recent additions will affect the team, as well as other additions that were brought in. Sheldon Day, Roosevelt Nix, T.J. Carrie, Xavier Rhodes just as a starting point to discuss the movement of the team. Does this mean the Colts will focus on offense through this draft? While a healthy dose of their picks could come on that side of the ball, the defense needs some top talent as well. Danely will go through his top positional needs for the Colts heading into the draft, discussing how he would prioritize them idealy, and he will also touch on the top five talents at those positions determined by the Stampede Blue team within their portions of the 2020 Draft Guide ($4.99). Matt finishes today's show by running through the top 30 players on the Stampede Blue big board as well. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
