Psalm 72 - Speaker: Will Galkin - Psalm 72 begins with King David praying that his son would be a good and righteous ruler. But it is not long into the psalm before the reader realizes that Solomon, or any other king, could never fully live up to what David is praying for. The very idealism of the prayer pushes us to look beyond every earthly ruler for its fulfillment. When Psalm 72 is read in light of the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants, it becomes clear that David's prayer can be fulfilled only in Christ. He alone is the rightful object of all praise, because he is the King who rules with righteousness, brings lasting peace, governs with compassion, and is worthy of all glory.

Have you ever wondered how life will be like when Christ returns? Come and hear what Isaiah has to say to us and catch a glimpse of the future that may change your life. Pastor Kenneth Goh delivered his sermon based on the passages from Isaiah 11:10 to 16.
Join us as we explore Psalm 4 in our summer series looking through the Psalms.
The Promise of a Perfect King and a Perfected World; Isiah 11; Bennie Tomberlin. Scripture read by Jay Stanley.
In this sermon, we looked at how God's promise to King David was ultimately fulfilled in Jesus. We studied 2 Samuel and how David was chosen by God to be king after Saul, the first king of Israel, disobeyed the Lord. Though David spent years on the run from Saul, he eventually became king and followed after God's heart. God then made a promise to David: one of his descendants would reign over a kingdom that would never end. This promise, known as the Davidic Covenant, shaped Israel's hope for a coming Messiah. But every king who came after David fell short, until Jesus. Through His life, death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus proved that He is the promised descendant of David. He has established the Kingdom of God, and through faith in Him, we become part of it. Even as we enjoy the Kingdom of God now, we look forward to its full and final fulfillment when Jesus returns to reign forever as our perfect King.

Many today are looking for the ideal candidate to serve as a national leader. God reminds us in 2 Samuel 7 that...
In Psalm 45 we learn that Jesus is the perfect King. [NOTE: This recording has several gaps due to technical issues.]
In the final week of "Judah", Pastor Clint Smith shows how Chronicles meticulously records the reigns of Judah's kings, highlighting their obedience or disobedience to God. From his message, we see the story of King Asa and how he exemplifies obedience bringing peace and trust bringing victory. However, Asa's reliance on human aid instead of God led to his downfall. Ultimately, Pastor Clint shows us the importance of obedience, trust in God, and the pursuit of a perfect king, culminating in Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.Support the Show.
Our sin always leads us away from God and ultimately to death. Sin seeks to establish a foundation in our lives. If we follow sin, we get farther and farther away from God, but that isn't the only option. God sent us the perfect king, Jesus Christ. This week guest speaker Josh Randol talked about how God offered us the way to everlasting life through the perfect person and work of Jesus Christ! "Get connected! https://linktr.ee/reachtulsa"
The King (and Queen) of the Ring is sometimes a thing in WWE and sometimes not, but once upon a time it was new and different and actually mattered. To revisit those glory days of 1993, we are watching one of wrestling's most quietly celebrated matches: Bret Hart versus Mr. Perfect. It's a mere quarter-final match in that year's tournament, but it's no surprise that Bret and Curt Hennig, two of the best to ever do it, made their 18 minutes count.
This week, we discuss the latest news heading into a huge wrestling weekend as WWE presents King and Queen of the Ring from Saudi Arabia and AEW presents Double or Nothing from Las Vegas. We also discuss SummerSlam heading to Minnesota in 2026 and making it two nights! Key verse: Isaiah 11:9 Outline: There is a perfect king who will bring a kingdom of peace (1) A Perfect King (v1-5) (2) A Kingdom of Peace (v6-9)
Through the lineage of kings in the Old Testament, Jesus has come as our King.
Last week we dove into Isaiah chapter 9, and the incredible promise that the Lord gave to mankind. That He would send a savior that would bring light into darkness and joy in heaviness. That this savior would completely destroy all the sin and death in our lives. This week, we will finish our time in Isaiah seeing not only how this savior will bring light to our lives, but also that he is a Perfect King ushering in a new perfect Kingdom. And in all of this we will see why we truly celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!
Your life is in the midst of two kingdoms, the kingdom of the world and the Kingdom of Jesus. There are kings of both and you need to know which king you are following. Pastor Doug dives into why Jesus is the perfect king in todays message.

One of the most magnificent titles given to Christ is that of the complete and perfect King. Paul reflected on both the might and majesty of the risen Jesus as he detailed the immensity of the hope we find in His name. Though we are prone to falter and fail, Christ in His completeness remains... Desires can be strong. We want something so badly; we feel it in our bones. Some of these desires are broken by the Fall. But some of these desires reflect the image of God in us. Often, we waste our lives trying to satisfy our desires with the things of this life. Studying Psalm 72, we learn to set our affection on the perfect King Solomon longs for in David's line, King Jesus and His Kingdom.

We turn this week to the first half of Isaiah 42, and we see that long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, his advent was promised as Israel looked forward to the coming of the Lord's servant.
