In this uplifting episode, I chat with a student of mine, Vicky Stewart, in Australia. Vicky used her coaching with me for her own personal transformation, which you'll hear about, and also to help her son eliminate his need for a wheelchair much earlier than doctors predicted. In our time together, we discuss unlocking human potential to heal, shifting mindsets, and accepting 100% responsibility for our life circumstances.    We talk about her son's devastating diagnosis. Vicky's 4-year-old son, Vincent, was diagnosed with Perthes Disease, a rare hip condition. Doctors informed her that her son would need to be in a wheelchair for two years, and he was out of his wheelchair 16 months earlier than doctors predicted. This diagnosis was very hard on her family, and you'll hear how her son, with her help, was out of his wheelchair much faster than doctors thought.   So, how did she do this, all the while amazing his doctors? Easy, she did not solely rely on her son's medical prognosis. She sought alternative solutions to help him heal.    She explored spiritual and energy healing options to help Vincent, including reiki and subconscious reprogramming. And this is normal for my students; most are very open-minded and forward-thinking, and they focus heavily on spirituality and continued personal growth, development, and transformation. So...what did Vicky do to help her son? She taught Vincent mindset techniques like imagining games to increase blood flow and healing, and she learned this in The Transformational Coaching Program (TCP).    "We speak our lives into existence" is something I greatly emphasize in TCP, and Vicky credits shifting her own beliefs and language about Vincent's condition. In our time together, she shares how the concept of 100% responsibility for our lives has completely transformed her life. She also talks about how she transformed her career, leaving her hospital job to coach patients on integrating mindset with medicine. Vicky has a Ph.D. in physical therapy.   The bigger message in this episode is that it demonstrates that we have the incredible power to overcome adversity and unlock our potential by shifting our internal mindsets and beliefs. As Vicky says and I teach people, "We are 100% responsible for creating the life we want. With the right tools and perspective, we can break through limiting stories to achieve wellness, fulfillment, and abundance." Anything else is a victim mentality.    Transformational Takeaway:  When we shift from limiting beliefs to empowering ones, we can defy limitations, transcend 'reality,' and consciously create miracles in our lives.   VISIT THE SHOW NOTES HERE FOR MORE: https://www.jimfortin.com/283   LIKED THE EPISODE? It's time to introduce you to #BBA2023 kid Jax! One thing to know about this 6 year old? He LOVES music, especially the drums! Welcome to the Bert's Big Adventure fam! When The Big Beyond Band heard about 6 year old Jax's wish to be a drummer, they knew they could step in and create an experience that's JUST as epic as Jax! That's why they're inviting him to play in the band as we perform live in concert on March 17th on the lawn at The Avalon! They're also going to put his family up in a hotel for the evening so he can enjoy the entire evening, and we even got him the PERFECT rock star outfit so he'll can fit right in with the band!  Jax is the only known person in the world with FHS with his exact gene deletion. Shelley said there are now about 200 people with FHS in the world and that many of them look like they could be Jax's brothers and sisters. A few of them look identical to him.  Jax started complaining of pain in his legs, and they thought he might be imitating his grandma. Then one day, he got out of the car and couldn't carry his backpack in to school. This led to his diagnosis of Perthes Disease. https://bit.ly/3ZgxtYW Learn more about your ad choices. Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Lorena: What are your thoughts on Anti EMR paint? Would you say it's legit at blocking emf?   Bridgette: Hi Stephen Cabral, I am a student of yours taking the integrative health practitioner course. I can't thank you enough for all of the work you have done and continue to do. I thank God for you. I am thoroughly enjoying this course and am in awe with how much prep work you have done for us all. I can't thank you enough! I am physically feeling the best I have felt in years! I have a question regarding Maslow's hierarchy of needs. For the basic physiological needs, you mention sex being one of them and I was wondering if you would elaborate on this. Please forgive me as this isn't exactly a health question but I would really love some deeper clarity if possible, as I have struggled for years with knowing how exactly I want to relate to sex and intimacy. I am 32 years old and have been so disconnected from intimacy and sex, I seem to always be asking myself if this is whats healthiest for me. I don't know what the answer is. Can you please explain why sex is one of the basic physiological needs? Of course it's needed for pro-creation, but is it actually needed and necessary to be a balanced healthy happy being, climbing the pyramid to self-actualization? I would really love to hear your thoughts. Like I mentioned above, I have been confused about this for years. Thanks!   Sarah: Hi Dr Cabral, thank you for all you do, I have learned so much from you. I have a friend who's son has just been diagnosed with pethres disease. I can't find anything on this and I wondered what your thoughts were on it and what you would do if your daughter had it? I appreciate you, thank you.   Sara: Hey Dr. Cabral what do you think about using castor oil while you're in the sauna for additional detox support combined with heat?   Tamara: What do you think for a post menopausal women taking strontium? My doctor recommended it after my bone density test came back borderline for osteoporosis. I am now taking calmag and DNS shake everyday along with this product. Wondering what you thought about this product and vs your bone supplement. Thanks for everything you do.   Rob: Hi Doc! I hope you can help me as I've been feeling very confused lately. I've ran all of my labs and I've done all protocols: 21 day detox, CBO, heavy metal, take my DNS, omega 3, vitamin D, mag-cal, zinc etc every day. I'm 32 year old Vata/Pitta, eat mostly plant-based with approx 60g of protein everyday. All organic. My labs show high estrogen and Adrenal phase 3 (burnout). I have a corporate job so I'm not surprised about the burnout and I've been making some lifestyle changes such as quitting strength training for now and just doing yoga and 10k steps and 1h meditation everyday. So I'm working hard to elevate those cortisol levels again but I'm confused about the high estrogen. I probably eat soy twice a week from tofu but that's pretty much eat and I'm not really exposed to any xenoestrogens since everything at home is natural. No oestrogen-based red meat either... The Sons of Mariel encompass the spirit of George Pajon and Diego Vals’s native countries Cuba and Peru, combined, to create something extraordinary. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Grammy ® nominated guitarist/songwriter George Pajon has long since solidified his place among music’s top songwriters. He penned numerous chart-toppers playing guitar alongside the Black Eyed Peas for more than a decade. His writing and guitar chops have been featured on over 63 million records sold worldwide; George has consistently proven himself as a tour de force combining his natural talent on guitar with creativity and the willingness to reinvent himself after all these years. In 2012 George shifted his attention to writing his own music and hooked up with Diego to bring you the Sons of Mariel. At just Twenty-six year old Peruvian born singer/songwriter Diego Val is an old soul. That is clearly translated through his lyrics and his soulful rasp. Overcoming an early childhood disease fueled Diego’s fire to beat the odds. He first picked up a guitar and began singing at 14 years old to help ease the pain of Perthes Disease that had almost crippled him. At eighteen years old, Diego moved to Miami and quickly picked up English.  In 2012 he caught the attention of the Producers of The Voice and made it through the several rounds as a member of Team Cee Lo. While the show was an excellent opportunity to introduce Diego to the masses, the show’s restrictions and format were not suited for Diego’s talent. A chance meeting with Black Eyed Peas guitarist George Pajon quickly turned into the proper platform as they combined forces as Sons of Mariel.
