Headlines and the Mariners take care of business The Mariners got the series win, despite Saturday's loss. Do the Mariners just play horribly every once in a while, or are the losses just dramatically magnified? The Minnesota series was ugly, and our pitching got knocked around a bit, but we can confirm that the offense has gotten better. They still aren't consistent, but they've had 5 runs or more in 5 of their last 9 games and they were all wins. The NBA Draft Lottery is rigged and Chuck has it all figured out… mostly How was everyone's Mother's Day?

Waste No Day: A Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Motivational Podcast
In today's show, we are putting Brittany Murphy in your passenger seat to discuss the concept of authority. When trouble strikes, everyone wants someone that they believe in to take care of the problem. We crave authority in our help whatever form it takes because authority instills trust into the relationship and the result. The home services industry is no different. Homeowners want a technician, plumber, or electrician who speaks and conducts business with the authority to accomplish whatever needs done. Lack of authority, wishy-washy behavior, lack of follow-through, and insecurity all cause problems with the client and the client experience. Now, this is no excuse to be an authoritarian and abuse the power, but it is to say that we need to TCOB (take care of business) when we are in the home. Authority in the marketplace is equally important. This authority comes in the form quantity and quality reviews. Google is the 800-lb gorilla and the more reviews you have, the more authority your company gains. Brittany Murphy is a marketing expert from One Thing Marketing and on today's show, she takes the time to explain how and why authority matters in both environments.

We are facing perhaps the most important election since the re-election of Abraham Lincoln; an election that was critical to maintaining the Union after a bitter Civil War. We are once again at a crossroads in this election cycle. This time we are deciding whether we are going to let the nose of Marxism under the tent, or whether we are going to defend the freedom the Constitution affords us.Please subscribe to our podcast at iHeart Radio, Pandora, Spotify, TuneIn, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Amazon Podcasts, Audible, and on podcast platforms like Castbox, Podcast Addict, Stitcher, SoundCloud, Spreaker, and anywhere podcasts are heard. And sign-up for our occasional mailout before social media makes that an impossibility: https://www.undergroundusa.com/

This special episode is set in the aftermath of Sedu10FEST - a festival to celebrate the 10th birthday of Paul's business, Sedulo. The performers from that festival - Ben Ofoedu of Phats & Small fame, Liberty X's Michelle Heaton, Another Level's Dane Bowers and DJ Rick Live - talk candidly about the ups and downs they experienced whilst making it in the music industry, as well as dealing with the fame that came with it. Please note: as this is set during the clean-up operation from the festival, there are a few minor disturbances in the audio.
Takin' Care of Business wasn't a hit until well into the BTO run, but its origin story goes back to 1967. Randy Bachman recently told The Bob Lefsetz podcast the story of how TCOB came to be, and how that pizza delivery guy ended up performing on a world-wide hit. Truth is indeed, stranger than fiction!
