Trevor Hennig played in all 34 games as a true freshman with the Weber State men's basketball team during the 2024-25 season. He started the final 11 games and was the third-leading scorer on the Wildcat team. Yet he only had two Division I offers out of high school from North Bend, Washington. Summer Willis has brought the Weber State Spirit Squad unprecedented national success and recognition, and coached the Wildcat cheer and dance teams to multiple national championships. In this Wildcat All In Interview, Summer talks about her 26 years working at Weber State and how she turned Weber State into a powerhouse with multiple championships. She talks about the pressure to improve and perform each year, recruiting athletes from all over the world to join Weber State, the people associated with the program, memories during her time at Weber State and much more. Plus, learn about her unique family connection to Weber State's nickname, the Wildcats. Willis began her career at Weber State in 1998 as the Spirit Squad Director and also worked in Marketing and Promotions for Wildcat Athletics. She has also served as the head coach of the Utah Jazz stunt team for nine years. She has led the Weber State cheer team to a combined 14 national championships, the dance team to eight national titles, and the Waldo mascot to three national championships. The Weber State cheer team has reached unrivaled success in recent years. The Wildcat Large Coed team has won eight straight national championships (2017-25) and nine overall championships. Weber State has also won four of the last five Grand National Championships, winning in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. The small coed team has won three national championships and won the grand national title twice in 2024 and 2025. A native of North Ogden, Utah, Willis was a cheerleader at Utah State and graduated in 1998.

Former Weber State football standout Stefan Cantwell is back at Weber State helping WSU student-athletes in a different way. Cantwell is working as a physical therapist for Sundance Physical Therapy. As part of his role, he assists Wildcat student-athletes from all WSU sports with physical therapy and injury rehabilitation. In this Wildcat All In Interview, Cantwell talks about his journey since he played at Weber State, becoming a physical therapist, what he likes about helping people with rehabilitation, working with athletes from a variety of sports, and much more. He also looks back on his Wildcat playing career including memories with teammates, memorable games, winning a championship, life after football, and his family. Cantwell played two seasons for the Weber State football team from 2016-17 and was part of one of the great Wildcat teams in school history. In his two seasons as a quarterback with the Wildcats, he threw for over 3,000 yards and 26 touchdowns. He still ranks 18th in career passing yards in WSU history. As a senior in 2017, he guided Weber State to a Big Sky Championship, a record-setting 11 wins, a trip to the quarterfinals of the FCS Playoffs, and a fifth-place ranking in the national polls. He was a team captain and threw for 2,978 yards and 25 touchdowns, in addition to rushing for 597 yards and eight more touchdowns. The Wildcats won two games in the FCS Playoffs, including a win at Southern Utah, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Playoffs for the first time in school history.

Joel was a standout for the Wildcats from 2012-16 and is one of the best players in school history. He was a Big Sky MVP, a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, helped the Wildcats to two Big Sky titles and two trips to the NCAA Tournament, and was drafted in the NBA. He was inducted into the Weber State Athletics Hall of Fame in September 2024. Carl Arky is returning as the radio voice of the Wildcats. Arky has been named the new radio play-by-play voice of Weber State Athletics and will broadcast WSU football and men's basketball games beginning this season. Wildcat games will once again be broadcast on 103.1 FM “The Wave”. Arky is a former Utah Sportscaster of the Year and was the radio broadcaster at Weber State for over 17 years from 1998-2015. He takes over as the radio announcer for Steve Klauke who tragically passed away in June in an auto-pedestrian accident. Arky called nearly all Weber State men's basketball and football games from 1998 to 2015. He was named the Utah Sportscaster of the Year in 2011. He called several memorable Wildcat games, including multiple NCAA Tournaments. In his first year during the 1998-99 season, the Wildcat men's basketball team won the Big Sky and beat North Carlina in the NCAA Tournament. He is joined by Paul Grua in this podcast and talks about the loss of Steve Klauke and the impact that had on him. He also talks about returning to call Wildcat games, previous memories of Weber State broadcasts, and his long broadcasting career. The end of the podcast also includes a few highlight calls from Steve Klauke as the voice of the Wildcats.

DJ is in OKC. Weber State standout Dillon Jones was drafted 26th overall in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft and traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jones became just the second Weber State men's basketball player ever drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft, joining NBA superstar Damian Lillard. A few days after being drafted Jones was introduced to the media in Oklahoma City. He also did interviews with media from Utah. This podcast is the audio from his media session with Utah media. WSU men's basketball head coach Eric Duft als talks at the end. Jones is the 17th player in Weber State history to be drafted.

Weber State softball head coach Mary Kay Amicone is retiring following the 2024 season. Coach Amicone, a former Weber State player, has won over 800 games in her long storied career as a head coach at Weber State, Salt Lake Community College, and BYU. In her 11 seasons at Weber State, she is the Big Sky's all-time leader in coaching wins and winning percentage and has guided the Wildcats to six Big Sky regular season titles and four Big Sky Tournament championships. The Wildcats have advanced to the NCAA Championships four times and in 2019, became the first school in Big Sky history to win a game at the NCAA Regionals. She has been named the Big Sky Coach of the Year four times and also coached three Big Sky Conference Players of the Year. In this Wildcat All In interview with Paul Grua near the end of the 2024 season, Amicone reflects on her family, her long career, why now is the time to retire and her legacy as a coach. Weber State men's basketball standout Scott Bamforth is the guest for this latest ‘Cat Tales podcast. Bamforth played three seasons at Weber State from 2010-13. He played in 99 career games and is one of the top shooters in WSU history. He still ranks 15th in career scoring with 1,345 points. He is also second in career 3-pointers with 258 and also ranks second in career 3-point percentage and third in career free throw percentage. Bamforth was named to the Weber State 50th Anniversary team. Since leaving Weber State 10 years ago in 2013, he has played professionally in the top leagues in Europe, playing in Spain, Italy, and Montenegro. Bamforth talks about his many experiences playing overseas, including fan experiences and fitting into the cultures. Eric Duft was introduced as the new head coach of the Weber State men's basketball team on May 19, 2022. Coach Duft spent 16 years as an assistant coach with the Wildcats before taking over as head coach.
Longtime Weber State men's basketball head coach Randy Rahe retired after 16 seasons as head coach on May 16, 2022. Rahe was the Big Sky Conference's all-time leader in wins with 316 wins. He led Weber State to five Big Sky titles and three trips to the NCAA Tournament. He coached 41 all-conference players and six Big Sky MVP's, including NBA superstar Damian Lillard. Rahe and his wife Laura spoke with the media following his retirement. Laura Rahe was a teacher as well as a Division I basketball referee for 30 years and is also retiring.
Robb Alexander has been associated with Weber State Athletics for nearly 60 years, with many years spent as the public address announcer for Weber State men's and women's basketball games. As an Ogden native, Robb grew up going to Weber State games as a child and has been involved ever since. In the latest ‘Cat Tales' podcast, Robb talks with Paul Grua about his numerous memories of Weber State Athletics, including calling games for several sports and working at the university for many years.
