Asking why a token or the market dropped or rose on one day is the wrong question. Overall market long term market direction is caused by the central bank putting in or taking out liquidity. (printing money or not) The correct question is whether the ecosystem and value given to users of your investment will be much larger in 3-5 years. If it will be, then its a good investment. And its best to buy when people are not eurphoric and after big drops. The reason for those drops therefore is sort of irrelevant. Olympus Dao introduced 1000+% APY through rebasing and many projects have copied the model. This does not affect the value of the project, but rather that you have to lock it up to maintain the relative value of your ownership. This concept confuses a lot of people and resulted in Redacted Cartel crashing in price when they removed this rebasing function despite it not reducing the value of the project.
