Fei-Fei Li and Justin Johnson are cofounders of World Labs, who have recently launched Marble (https://marble.worldlabs.ai/), a new kind of generative “world model” that can create editable 3D environments from text, images, and other spatial inputs. Marble lets creators generate persistent 3D worlds, precisely control cameras, and interactively edit scenes, making it a powerful tool for games, film, VR, robotics simulation, and more. In this episode, Fei-Fei and Justin share how their journey from ImageNet and Stanford research led to World Labs, why spatial intelligence is the next frontier after LLMs, and how world models could change how machines see, understand, and build in 3D. We discuss: The massive compute scaling from AlexNet to today and why world models and spatial data are the most compelling way to “soak up” modern GPU clusters compared to language alone. Der Weltreiterverband (FEI) hat die sogenannte Blood Rule im Springreiten geändert – und die Pferdesportwelt diskutiert. Dabei geht es um Regelungen, wie in Turnierprüfungen damit umgegangen werden soll, wenn vor, während oder nach einer Prüfung bei einem teilnehmenden Pferd Blut am Körper festgestellt wird. Pferde sollen ab Inkrafttreten der neuen Regelung zum 1. Januar 2026 trotz sichtbaren Blutes unter bestimmten Umständen weiter an der Prüfung teilnehmen können, zum Beispiel an einem zweiten Umlauf eines Großen Preises oder einem Stechen. Was bedeutet das für den Pferdesport? Warum kam es bei der FEI Generalversammlung zu diesem Abstimmungsergebnis? Und warum sehen viele Fachleute darin einen Rückschritt fürs Tierwohl? At just 22 years old, he won the individual silver medal in show jumping at the 1976 Montréal Olympics riding Branch County. After his competitive career, he coached and served as chef d'équipe for the Canadian show jumping team at major championships. Sally Cousins is an accomplished FEI 5* international event rider and was the USEA Leading Lady Rider for six consecutive years (2008–2013). She began riding as a young child after her family purchased a farm in Oxford, Pennsylvania, and quickly found her passion through Pony Club and the sport of eventing. By her mid-teens, Sally had completed her first one-star three-day event, and at just 20 years old, she traveled to England to compete at the prestigious Badminton Horse Trials. She remained in the UK that year and went on to complete the Burghley Horse Trials later that season. In addition to her riding career, Sally spent 16 years working as a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch before deciding to turn professional and commit fully to eventing. Today, she operates Sally Cousins Eventing, training horses and riders out of her bases in South Carolina and Pennsylvania. In this episode, Sally reflects on the choices and philosophies that have shaped her decades-long career in eventing, including: • How being strategic about which events she entered helped her horses stay sound and competitive for longer. • Why she's never hesitated to withdraw a horse at the last minute if they weren't ready, prioritizing their well-being over competition goals. • What led her to leave a successful 16-year career as a stockbroker to pursue horses full-time. • The importance of building a trusting relationship with each horse and following her gut when deciding whether to push forward or hold back. Karen and Robby get to know West Coast 4* Eventer, Tommy Greengard. Tommy tells the story of coming from non-horsey parents and finding his way to taking lessons at a large lesson barn. Karen and Robby meet Sara Schulman. Sara is an inspiration to the Amateur in the sport of Eventing. While she works a full time job, Sara is able to train and compete and was even able to place 2nd at the 2024 Maryland 3*L where she held the position from start to finish.
