Bitcoin is in the news, and there's an amazing rush on cryptocurrencies and seemingly a new coin coming out every day. So it's becoming more obvious that we're in a bubble. But what's the real future of cryptocurrencies? Jason Hartman talks to Tama Churchouse, co-founder of Churchouse Publishing Limited and lead cryptocurrency analyst at Stansberry Churchouse Research, about what's going on in the world of cryptocurrency. Tama explains the differences between things like Bitcoin and Etherium, and the two look into what the government's future role in cryptocurrency will look like. Key Takeaways: [1:21] Why is there a sudden runup in cryptocurrencies? [6:00] The average transaction fee for Bitcoin is making it impossible to scale [10:06] There are currently over 1,500 different cryptocurrencies with a market cap of around $520 billion [12:01] There are currently protocols being written on the blockchain that you can buy into [14:35] An explanation of "CryptoKitties" and how it can be applied to other avenues [16:05] Etherium created a standardized token and how it's aiding in ICOs [18:13] Etherium doesn't scale and is expensive to use, creating some serious drawbacks [19:27] How Tama learned about cryptocurrency [26:08] Is decentralized decision making really a good idea or will it just bog everything down? [30:21] Cryptocurrency isn't really a great investment at the moment (perhaps it will become one), so what do we do with it today? [32:41] Bitcoin mania has people declaring it a storer of value, but it takes at LEAST a generation to be able to make such a claim [35:01] Will the government let cryptocurrencies go on (and can they even squash it if they try)? [38:10] Tama believes 2018 will bring a wave of regulations on to cryptocurrencies [40:59] How Tama would destroy Bitcoin if he really wanted to [43:53] One cryptocurrency you SHOULD NOT BUY Website: www.StansberryChurchhouse.com www.CoinMarketCap.com "The government doesn't like competition in anything, especially currency" "ICOs are, by far and away, Etherum's biggest proof of concept use case at the moment" Follow Jason on TWITTER, INSTAGRAM & LINKEDIN Twitter.com/JasonHartmanROI Instagram.com/jasonhartman1/ Linkedin.com/in/jasonhartmaninvestor/ Call our Investment Counselors at: 1-800-HARTMAN (US) or visit: https://www.jasonhartman.com/ Free Class: Easily get up to $250,000 in funding for real estate, business or anything else: http://JasonHartman.com/Fund CYA Protect Your Assets, Save Taxes & Estate Planning: http://JasonHartman.com/Protect Get wholesale real estate deals for investment or build a great business – Free Course: https://www.jasonhartman.com/deals Special Offer from Ron LeGrand: https://JasonHartman.com/Ron Free Mini-Book on Pandemic Investing: https://www.PandemicInvesting.com

Alpha Centauri Kid (ACK) is a multi-disciplinary artist known for his signature minimalistic glitch art that has taken the crypto community by storm. He entered the space in 2021 and has one of the most esteemed collector bases, including Punk 6529, VVD, Anonymoux, and many more. A humble servant of The Muse, ACK obeys her will at all costs. His main purpose is to make you feel something (often pain) while experiencing his art. He achieves this through the clever use of tools available to web3 creators and does it with a swagger unique only to him. From faking his death on the blockchain to the most elaborate color study that captivated the entire art market for a month. You never quite know what he'll do next. ACK has cemented his spot in blockchain history and, in my opinion, will be named one of the greatest artists of our time, and today, you get to hear his story. We cover everything from his first minted (NFT) Elon Musk meme to his experience debuting The Muse silkscreen prints at Christie's. We also chat through scene creation, the challenges of incorporating music into his art, and his legendary performance piece, "The Great Color Study." We use digital currency every day whenever we use a credit card, bank online or shop for goods on the internet. We can use our phones as money and transfer cash to family and friends simply by using numbers. It's not exactly cash we are using, but a digital representation of that cash. Some digital currencies, such as cryptocurrency, even exist outside of the traditional banking system. Recently the cryptocurrency trading exchange FTX collapsed leaving creditors owed billions of dollars. There's not much chance any of that money can be returned because it wasn't actually linked to a cash system. If so many of our transactions and speculations are now digital, can we ditch the cash altogether? This week on The Inquiry we're asking Can digital currency replace the cash system? gm,This podcast might as well be titled "Life Alpha" because Joe and I riff on many fantastic topics that have helped us grow as humans and creatives.Joe is a photographer and actor with a wide variety of styles, everything from powerplants to clowns, monuments, and so much more.We start our chat by going through the subtle art of not giving a fuck, and the importance of having personal anchor points in our lives. Something that really stuck out to me was Joe's advice on how to ask our brain better questions; it really got me thinking about what and how I ask myself questions moving forward. We spent the rest of the time talking about two important topics: painful art vs. joyful art, and the second piece we dived deep into was his Foundation genesis piece, "ADHD and Me."We wrap up this epic conversation where we started, with anchor points.Enjoy

Talk about the Etherum merge and price implications is everywhere, but why is the Ethereum merge important for Web3?
Ladies and gentlemen, y'all are in for a treat today! As the previous co-creator of Google Earth, Chikai brought his wealth of technical knowledge into this space to re-imagine the concept of an art gallery in the digital age. He has collected from some of the most established artists in the space, including Neil Burnell, Cath Simard, Kristopher Shinn, Samantha Cavet, Eric Reubens, Summer Wagner, and so many more . Not only is he an avid collector, but his major contribution to this space is via his custom built Monolith Gallery. This is not just building a website to feature art, he's literally untangling the current meta by changing how galleries get curated. Instead of a billionaire who makes a sizeable investment to the gallery, Chikai appointed the best curators on the planet, the artists. We discuss his idea for Monolith, entry into web3, mental models for approaching collections, and an in-depth discussion about the importance of onboarding and how he's doing it.I highly suggest pulling up Monolith Gallery as you watch this to get a taste of what he's all about.Enjoy
From Capitol Hill to the sunny shores of LA, Natasha has one of the most fascinating stories I've ever had on the show. Growing up in a household with an incredibly analytical father and a talented artist for a mother, she got the best of both worlds. During her time in politics, she found a natural path to making collage art on a random phone app that doesn't exist anymore. Her friend approached her to do an album cover for a music festival, and that was her first experience with making money off her creation. One thing we share in common is that when we feel something, we double down, and that's exactly what she did. For the rest of the interview, we go over many different areas in depth. From Instagram web2 to decentralized protocols in web3, she goes through the entire process from the "aha" moment we all have to going all in and fostering her community. We chatted about IP law, copyright, trademarks, what that currently means, and how it currently applies to web3. Towards the end, we chat through the challenges of onboarding, why gen-z has severe distrust within the government, and how we need to practice and share the principles of web3, especially driving home the narrative of self-custody and what that really means. There are so many other fun rabbit holes that we plunge into the deep end on, and I can't wait for you to get lost in it all!Copyright article referenced: https://www.theverge.com/23139793/nft-crypto-copyright-ownership-primer-cornell-ic3Boonafide Socials:Twitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comPostwook links:Linktree: https://linktr.ee/postwookSuperRare: https://superrare.com/postwookWebsite: https://hello69676.wixsite.com/postwook/portfolio-landingSupport the show
Nicole d'Avis sits down with Jonathan Mann, aka songadayman, aka the founder of SongaDAO. It turns out they have been in the same music/crypto circles for 5+ years, on similar tracks, though just connected in the last year, so it was cool to look back at shared history. They explored the genesis of SongaDAO, including the early inspiration for the DAO, as well as its start in the last bear market cycle and what current builders might learn from his experience. They discussed the power inherent in creating something daily and shared some of the very cool community and technical experiments that are happening right now and in the future of SongaDAO.
Alex ... My word, what an amazing human. Alex is a Ph.D. in physiology and a landscape photographer. We meet on a pop-up twitter space, and she nerded out on her passion for both medicine and photography, I knew I had to have her on.We wind the clocks all the way back to the beginning where she started out her photography journey in the concert scene and built up a name for herself there. If you notice her work, she combines her favorite lyrics of a song that inspired the photo, something unique that I hadn't seen before.Traditionally, the Ph.D. path is a professor, however, Alex is in one of the unique positions to explore a different path with her studies, one that allows her to combine her love of photography with her love of physiology. We really go all over the place, in what Alex likes to call her ADHD tangents. gmIn this episode, I sat down with the 25x author Ben Mezrich! He's most famous for his book "Bringing Down the House" and has gone on to write others such as "The Accidental Billionaire," "Bitcoin Billionaires," "The Anti-Social Network," and many more.I had a great time chatting with Ben about his journey into his journey as a writer, some pivotal moments in history where technology changed the world, and of course, his web3 project. The Ben Mezrich Project is a series of three NFT drops, granting you access to a screenplay token at the end. While this is happening, Ben is hard at work writing a screenplay for an upcoming film. Holders of the screenplay token will give holders prorated rights to 50% of any revenue from the monetization of the screenplay. The longer-term vision for the Bens project is to create a launchpad for authors who need extra support to get their works published, whether that be financial, mentorship, or both; this is Ben's 20-40 year plan.Sit back, grab some coffee, and enjoy.Boonafide Socials:Twitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHPatreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comBen links:Website: benmezrich.com NFT Website: https://www.benmezrichnft.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/benmezrich Non-Refungible Network:Website: https://nonrefungible.tech/Twitter: https://twitter.com/Non_RefungibleSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)

In this conversation, we get into some of Kristen's hard-fought lessons being the 50th employee at Coinbase, about her early time in crypto since 2014, how Jess redefines his role at Seed Club and the importance of labels when defining a position within an organization. We get into how human consciousness has evolved relating to DAOs.
Welcome to season two, episode one of the Seed Club podcast. In this episode, Jess Sloss sits down with Mike Dudas, Instigator, and creator at LinksDAO, a DAO aiming to buy and operate a golf course. We learn about the Links DAO origin story and, how they operate given the regulatory grey market of NFTs that have utility, why we need more DAOs rather than DAO tooling. And what DAOs need to break through to the next level.
gm,This week, I interviewed Ramon Govea, founder of the media brand Myth Division. Before getting into this project, note that I hold one of his Alpha Access tokens. Been a believer since day one back in August, and it's just getting more exciting. When researching teams, I look for their history and what they worked on before their web3 venture. If you peek at the Myth Division website, you'll quickly see where my conviction started. Ramon has been building IP and telling stories via comics, movies, animations, etc.Ramon is one of those folks that understand Holywood well enough to know how to disrupt and change it for the better. Myth Divison has multiple legs, from the comic book BASYC (Bored Ape Seeks Yacht Club), PFP project, Waifu Warriors, and Myth Division Access Tokens. These NFTs connect to the larger vision of his city, Orangurock, which will be the hub for unique web3 experiences of the future, adding opportunities for creators to thrive.Sit down, buckle up, and grab some coffee, because this one will blow your mind.Boonafide Socials:Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHMyth Division:Linktree: https://linktr.ee/mythdivisionTwitter: https://twitter.com/RamonGoveaNon-Refungible Network:All content: https://nonrefungible.tech/ Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)

Killian is an outstanding photographer, a human, and a pillar in web3. He's consistently sharing work, buying work, giving advice, and doing what he can to onboard people the right way. He moves with grace and kindness, and I had to have him on.We discuss his journey, how he ended up in New York, the art of finding the perfect shot, preparation, editing, the whole bit. We also chat about building his brand in web2, the transition to web3, and get into some tough learned experiences about pricing his work and what he does differently than most. Photographer, Community Builder, and Family man. He's the holy trinity for this space, and I'm excited you get to hear this beautiful conversation.Enjoy

Thanks for your patience while I was out dead for a week w/the Rona. This week, we have the VP of Business Development & Partnerships at a web3 project called Storyverse.I feel jaded on most pfp projects and am looking for the thing to bring the identity layer of web3 to life. Storyverse is one of those projects.Patrick has served overseas and worked for many different startups in his day, including building out the esports partnerships division at Facebook. We dive into his work history, how it's helped shape him for this position in web3, some casual banter is had about the current state of the space, and I get semi-technical about how the storyverse truly brings these web3 identities to life!Lastly! If you're not following me on Twitter (why the hell not?!) You will have noticed that I joined a collective of incredible content creators called the Non-Refungible Network. They cover weekly NFT news, De-Fi newsletters, and so much more!Boonafide Socials:Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHNon-Refungible Network:All content: https://nonrefungible.tech/ Storyverse:Twitter: https://twitter.com/storyverse_xyzSite: http://storyverse.xyz/Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)
This week's episode was with Bored Elon. Many of you may know him, as his account has grown to ~1.8m followers, and doesn't appear to be slowing down. I meet Elon through some previous Twitter Space events and loved his perspective on web3 and the many thoughtful ways it can be applied to gaming. We dive into the early beginnings of his pseudonymous adventure of being a parody account, why he enjoys the idea of crypto, his philanthropy, and development in gaming,, and lastly, we cover his brand new game, Meta Mars. I went directly to the source of the team that brought you the Beeple Everyday's $69m piece. You're getting a first-hand, sneak peek into the business side of one of the largest traditional auction houses, worldwide. Not only are they at the forefront of art, but now innovation. They now live in both the physical world, as well as the metaverse, and are ushering in a new era of how art is being displayed, purchased, and interacted with. This was by far one of the most insightful podcast episodes I've recorded to date.Boonafide Socials:Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BoonafidexpWebsite: https://www.boonafide.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/BoonaETHNicole Social Media:Twitter: https://twitter.com/nicoleasales Christies Auction HouseWebsite: https://www.christies.com/Beeple Sale: https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/beeple-first-5000-days/beeple-b-1981-1/112924Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/Boonafidexp)

Bram Cohen, the founder of BitTorrent and Chia Network, in 2004, realized the internet speed and bandwidth was slow, and even maybe a fraction of what we have today, so he came up with a peer-to-peer protocol called BitTorrent. If you're old enough, you might have used it to download movies, music, and even games at some point. Fast track 2017, he found a new interest in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and Etherum, and saw that there's a problem with it. So he founded his own "Green" cryptocurrency in the hope of solving the issues that Bitcoin, Etherum, and other coins have! If you have questions about Chia, and what is Chia, how can Chia solve the problem, and what problems exactly are we looking at?
