Today we are diving into the many issues that we are facing in the fitness industry. The next & current generation of fitness leaders need to start addressing however you can start looking at these issues as well. Â We need to understand the fundamental of good health comes from a lifestyle and not from diet, 12 week challenges etc. Today we chat with Brian Seam from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After seven years of working in law, followed by nine years working at a university, He decided to launch his own business. This brought rewards, such as the freedom to set my his hours and pursue the kinds of projects he enjoys. There were also the kinds of challenges that should be familiar to any entrepreneur, uncertainty of income at times being one of them. He also encountered personal tragedy in my life when two people I was very close to died. His only sister died of cancer and my brother-in-law was killed in a logging accident. Although He had been a gym enthusiast for several years, he also had some bad habits that were hindering me from attaining his full potential, including eating out regularly at restaurants, bars and fast food outlets. Things came to a tipping point for him when I had my annual physical exam in March of 2018. I was stunned to see that I weighed 210 pounds (95kg) and my blood pressure was dangerously high. Two of my strengths are taking action at crisis points and sticking to that course of action. So he made major changes in my life, including eating healthier, cooking at home, losing 20 kg (44 pounds) and getting fitter. I now go to the gym six days per week, for at least 90 minutes each day. He can attest to the many benefits of losing weight and getting fit. Paramount is feeling more energy, exuding positive energy, and attracting positive people into my life. He now wants to devote the next several years of his life to helping others get fit and feel better. In August of 2019, he successfully completed the Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma programme at Elevated Learning Academy (Calgary) and also passed my certification exam with the American Council on Exercise. Brain is looking forward to this new, exciting phase of his life! You can find Brain @ https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-seaman-3984336/
