Episode Summary: If there's one piece of health advice you take to heart, let it be this: listen to your body. In this episode of the Elemental Evan Show, host Evan Roberts breaks down why this simple but powerful concept is the foundation of lasting health. Inspired by a heated debate between experts on whether carnivore or plant-based diets are superior, Evan shares why no single diet fits everyone—because we're all built differently.Evan opens up about his personal struggles with digestive issues and how tuning into his body helped him identify the foods that supported or harmed his well-being. He walks listeners through his two-week journey with a minimalist salad-based diet, which led to surprising improvements in his chronic stomach pain. You'll also learn how to use an elimination diet to discover your ideal foods and how mindful eating—free from distractions—can sharpen your awareness of what your body truly needs. Plus, Evan spotlights chlorella, a detoxifying superfood, and explains how it can support your wellness journey. This episode is all about trusting your internal signals, making empowered food choices, and honoring your unique path to health.Supplements & Savings:

One of the biggest barriers to us getting the things we really, really want are the mixed messages we send to ourselves. We want it, then we're not sure we do. We want it again and then we don't think it will work out. We definitely want it, but then we can't do it because it's risky. When we want to go in a certain direction, we won't reach our desired destination this way. Instead, we need to be fully committed and completely in alignment - not shaky or wishy washy. The missed messages take different forms - maybe it's doing a push and pull, making excuses not to take action, or just dipping our toe in. However it manifests, this creates a tangle in our energy system and that keeps us from having any momentum. When we fully commit to something and go all in, that's when we experience the magic of the universe conspiring for us, but it starts with taking our whole selves into the decision. If we treat what we want like we deserve it and believe the world is there for us to go after it, that's when the magic happens! How do we use body wisdom to figure out the direction we want to take? How do we fully commit to something? In this episode, we talk about how to find alignment so we can make decisions with less internal friction. Things You'll Learn In This Episode -Make what's going on in your mind real How do we use movement to role play walking in each direction towards the thing we want or don't want? -Thank you for self-selecting The safest place to get feedback is from people who are in alignment themselves. How do we identify who is in integrity and who definitely isn't? -Recognize your inner yes and no In our early years, we're taught that our own experience doesn't matter so we lose trust in what we're experiencing. Why does that make it hard for us to know what we really want? When does pushing through turn into pushing too hard? In this episode of Energy Works, Lauren and Blaine discuss the fine line between commitment and burnout. They also talk about the role of rest, the risks of overtraining, and the messages our bodies send when we're not listening.Lauren shares how ignoring her body's signals led to an injury - and how looking at the emotional side of her pain helped her heal faster. Blaine, an experienced athlete and coach, breaks down how to balance movement and recovery, why rest days don't always mean doing nothing, and how paying attention to your body can keep you moving for years to come. What You'll Hear:The Rest Day Myth – Why full recovery doesn't always mean total stillness and how gentle movement can actually help.Balancing Commitment and Intuition – When pushing through becomes a problem and how to recognize the warning signs.Emotional Lessons in Injury – How Lauren connected her back pain to deeper emotional patterns. The Power of Yin – Why slowing down matters, especially as we age. Practical Tools – Quick body check-ins, breathwork, and small habits to stay in tune with what you need.Takeaway:Injury doesn't usually come out of nowhere - it starts with whispers before it turns into a shout. The more you tune in, whether through movement, rest, or breath, the better you'll feel in the long run.

God designed our bodies to tell us incredibly important things when it comes to growing and healing. In fact, I believe that one of the primary places we can grow in self-awareness is not books or podcasts or personality tests...but learning to listen to our own bodies. Why is this? Our bodies know more than our minds often do. And they are constantly speaking, revealing truth about what's happening in the present or what happened to us in the past. In this week's episode, I explain why it's so important to listen to your body, and I offer one practical way to begin. So this episode is about heeding the signals, and the benefits that can some from when we do slow down and stop. In today's episode, we're talking about why there needs to be more to your nutritional approach than just “listening to your body.” What if your body is telling you something that isn't accurate? What if your appetite cues are off? Does that mean you shouldn't eat because you're listening to your body? Being in tune with your body is important, but it can send you subjective signals influenced by several outside variables. So many things affect our hunger hormones, like sleep and stress. Building a foundation of a balanced, nourishing, satisfying diet will help you stay on track and fuel your body well, no matter the outside variables. With the right information and experience, you can trust yourself to make nutritional decisions that are right for you instead of just trusting your body. Text me, bestie! In today's episode of "The Power of You", I will be sharing why it's so important to listen to your body after a significant event that requires you to pause and let your body heal and recover.Maybe that's after a surgery, a illness, or maybe even childbirth. But listening to your body, respecting its needs, and allowing yourself to ease back in to your habits and routines is critical.I know it's not always ideal, and sometimes we are made to believe we should just "push through it", but I'm here to remind you that there is great things to come from honoring and listening to your body, and embracing the perfectly imperfect journey we may find ourselves on.Enjoy!
