Oftentimes, those people have been in the industry for 15, 20, or 25+ years! They've most likely worked every single day of their career to get there. The most important thing, aside from getting the proper gear, is understanding the flow of the ceremony and understanding where you need to be and when. If you're feeling super concerned about missing a moment, stand in the middle-back of the ceremony. That's the perspective of most of the guests anyway, and you can hire your second photographer to float around and get other angles.

If you're just starting out in your business, chances are you've seen allllll the articles and blogs entitled: “12 Common Business Mistakes to Avoid,” or “How to Avoid the Top 10 Mistakes of Entrepreneurs,” and so on. Sound familiar? I have news for you… you CAN'T avoid mistakes. Sorry.

When it comes to videography, we have worked with such a variety of people. We don't have a videographer on our team, so we've had a lot of experience working with different personality types and aesthetics. You know what the New Year does to people? It makes them reflect…. On the things that went well, things to be grateful for, and things they'd like to change. I've been reflecting, and there's SO much to be grateful for in 2022. We launched a membership society (the Wedding Photography Society), the Full Time Wedding Photography course, and we added many more students to our education community. That's a LOT to be grateful for!

This is a high-dollar investment your clients are making, and a BIG commitment on your part as the photographer for an event that cannot be replicated. Everyone has to be in total agreement on what's expected and what's going to be delivered at the completion of the contract. So let's just be honest: It can be completely nerve-wracking.
