carla is an all-around geek and consummate fangirl. she lives in panama city, panama -- which is so far from anywhere exciting that it might as well be freaking narnia. this is the podcast version of her vlog.
i was ready to talk about something OTHER than stranger things... and then the teaser trailer dropped and blew my mind. I REGRET NOTHING.
here, have another stranger things video because I CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS STUPID, PERFECT SHOW THAT HAS TAKEN OVER MY HEART AND MY LIFE. (pls send help).
definitive proof that - in the star wars world, at least - the word 'prequel' doesn’t have to be a dirty word. rogue one blew my socks off, y'all! here’s me gushing about it for like forty-five minutes, because i loved it THAT much.
watch show. love show. become obsessed to the point that you start thinking of the cute little protagonists as your own children whom you want to hug and protect for the rest of your life. that happens to everyone, right? right??
i’m finally all caught up with game of thrones so here’s an extensive review! in other news, my next-door neighbor is renovating his bathroom. this is all relevant information, i promise.

i finally gathered up the courage to watch the last two episodes of haven! (it only took me ten months. are you proud of me?). now i’m depressed because i miss my show, so i’m gonna talk about it non-stop until my sad fangirl heart puts itself back together. PS: seriously, if someone has started a petition for more haven in any shape or form, send the link my way, please!
when i was a little girl, i watched (and played, and read) a lot of series that i loved and miss to this day. and now that hollywood is going through the age of nostalgia, i want to see these series on the big screen. because aquaman.
and in this week’s installment of 'losers who've never been at a geeky convention talking about geeky conventions'... NYCC! chatter including logan, voltron, shadowhunters, that power rangers trailer the internet is going crazy about, and a lot more.
the third movie in the digimon tri series was released just last week, and it might as well have been subtitled 'drama' instead of 'confession.' does that mean i didn’t love it? please, son. the drama gives me LIFE.
to celebrate the release of the first teaser trailer for the anastasia broadway musical (OHMAGAAAAAAHD!), and to annoyingly point out to everyone that, hey, anastasia is not a disney movie y'all, here’s a list of my top 10 non-disney animated films. what’s yours?
in which i discuss recent topics in the x-men fandom, including mr. sinister being the villain of wolverine 3, the deleted mall scene from x-men: apocalypse, my (very belated) feelings about the trailer for the new FX series legion, and my general position on the "give all marvel characters back to marvel" debate.

roughly half of the ships i ship end up being non-canon, and i’ll be damned if it doesn’t always hurt like a bitch. i know i’m not the only one who’s gone through that pain, so here’s my list; what’s yours?.
after over 600 chapters and FIFTEEN YEARS, the bleach manga has come to an end. i’ve read it, i’ve grieved, and now i’m left to figure out what to do with the rest of my life. D': yooooooo, where my post-ending ishihime fanfics at? i’m in the mood for some excruciating pain. (no, i’m serious, send me recs, guys!).
i have finished reading cassandra clare’s lady midnight and i have a lot of feelings about it! particularly about julian, emma, and how the clave needs to FREAKING DIE. and then be fed to flesh-eating goldfish, just for kicks. ;)
i got to see suicide squad and although it delivered on the fun i wanted, it missed on some other aspects -- and what better way to discuss these than in an hour-long rant? i take my lists very seriously, y'all.
netflix has announced the cast for their movie adaptation of the anime/manga death note, and being a fan, i had to talk about my feelings about it -- and my feelings about there being a U.S. adaptation at all! of course i ended up spending fifteen minutes talking about adaptation and a history of recent hollywood whitewashing, but hey, i arrived at the actual topic eventually. =P
there’s lots of new events and info coming up in the harry potter fandom, and i have many ~feelings~ and opinions about all of it, so i figured i’d make a video about it. GO SERPENDORS! o/

marvel suddenly decided to make captain america a nazi, and geeks everywhere exploded in an avalanche of self-righteousness. but does the love of a character and the potential 'RUINED FOREVER'-ness of a plot twist justify the more aggressive reactions?
let's talk demigods! this video includes (but is not limited to): fangirling over my demigod babies, pop-up notes of everything i forgot, and reading prophecies off my shirt.
in which i spend an hour talking about x-men: apocalypse - what i loved, what i liked, and what i hated - and somehow still forget about half of what i was going to say. please start up a discussion in the comments so that i can vent out all my feelings? for example, it's always night time in berlin. trufax.
watch me defy logic by attempting to justify my affection for a bunch of movies in which most people can't find a lick of goodness. hey, it's not a guilty pleasure if you don't feel guilty about it!
