Who's the Temu Michael Jordan? Will Eddie Winslow ever play basketball again?!? And what did we cut out of the episode? We bounce back and forth the answers to these questions and more as we watch Season 1, Episode 6 of Family Matters. Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.Join our countdown to number one (and our slow descent into madness) in all the places you expect internet people to be:Website: jumpingtheshuttle.spaceEmail: jumpingtheshuttle@gmail.comInstagram: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Twitter: @JumpingShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577TikTok: @JumpingTheShuttle / @ThatAlexD / @dak577Brought to you by Smooth My Balls
Welcome to a short but fun episode! We were very lucky to be able to participate in a roundtable interview, along with other great content creators, with the legendary DEE BRADLEY BAKER! His status as Star Wars royalty is undisputed, having voiced a plethora of characters in The Clone Wars along with all of the Batchers in The Bad Batch! Millennials might also recognize him as the voice of Olmec in Legends Of The Hidden Temple among so many other credits! Today we chat with Dee about his latest Star Wars project: Young Jedi Adventures! In it he plays the fan-favorite NUBS! It is definitely a 180 from the darker characters he has been voicing lately. This was definitely a great one, Dee is kind, and engaging and his answers are joyful and thought provoking! Thanks again to Lucasfilm for the opportunity! Season 2 of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is streaming now on Disney+. We were very fortunate to share the round-table with some of our community friends, among them: Full Of Sith, Jedi News, Star Wars Explained, Talking Bay 94, and The Resistance Broadcast. From Dusk Till Dawn to Nickelodeon with Director Joe MenendezThis week on the show we have the very talented director Joe Menendez. Joe is an award-winning filmmaker of both a successful feature film director and a prolific television director/producer as well -- having moved seamlessly between both mediums his entire career. Joe Menendez has directed over 95 hours of television (both single and multi-camera), written a handful of teleplays, produced several TV series and films, and has directed eight feature films and TV movies so far. He is a multi-genre veteran of drama, action, comedy, family entertainment, horror and rom-com. His numerous and varied credits show that he is a skilled craftsman and an accomplished, versatile storyteller. For this reason I had to have him on the show. Joe Menendez is currently in post-production on Nickelodeon's LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE, an action-adventure TV movie he directed for Nickelodeon, based on the popular game show of the same name, from the 1990s.His last feature, the action/comedy, LADRONES (THIEVES), was released by Pantelion Films October 9th, 2015, and received a CinemaScore of "A". LADRONES is the sequel to his 2007 feature film LADRON QUE ROBA A LADRON (TO ROB A THIEF), which opened at the time to a record-grossing opening weekend at the box-office for a Spanish-language film in the U.S.Joe Menendez has directed multiple episodes of the one-hour drama FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: The Series for Robert Rodriguez and his El Rey Network, multiples of the new Amazon Series JUST ADD MAGIC and the Prequel Series plus the "uncensored" episodes for the 2nd season of HULU's hit drama series EAST LOS HIGH.I also wanted to have him on the show to discuss what's it like working with a filmmaking legend like Robert Rodriguez. He did not disappoint. His stories are AMAZING! This episode was recorded on Christmas as a Christmas gift to all of my four listeners. In this episode I catch everyone up on where I've been and what my year has been like. It's had ups and downs and guess what? I'm still here. I talk a little bit about writing a Lifetime Christmas movie, hosting Legends of The Hidden Temple and preparing to shoot my second Netflix stand-up special!
We knew Cyd, like Tara and Dave, had just done a rewatch of the original-flavor C.S.I., so we were really glad she could join us to break down CBS's new reboot of its network-changing old favorite (which...only went off the air like six years ago?). We talked about whether we'll keep watching for "The New Class" after l'affaire Hodges gets resolved, when exactly the show thinks it is culturally, and what's going on with the sloppy editing. Then we went Around The Dial with Call The Midwife, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, grief-therapy sitcom recs, and Buried (with another Lauer rant from Buntsy) before Cyd was NOT a crackpot about shows using consultants on "hacker" and other internetty storylines. Chris Billig tried to get all our exercise balls up the hill in support of his Taskmaster Canon submission before Mlle. Caroline won, Netflix lost, and we put a foot in two worlds with a Game Time about reboots. Make sure to leave a fingerprint on the "play" button; it's an all-new Extra Hot Great. GUESTS

Join Andrew and Brandon as they journey back to October 1991, but first Brandon introduces Andrew to Legends of the Hidden Temple and the new reboot on The CW. After the break they discuss their favorite Halloween Candies before jumping into Mark Wahlberg and how he was a boy band rapper and sex symbol before being the actor they know. Brandon brings up Space Hippies while Andrew remembers Gene Roddenberry for his show, Andromeda. Finally Brandon talks about how he hates Temple of Doom based off of Steven Spielberg finally marrying Kate Capshaw in October 1991 and Andrew coins a new term, “requel,” before they devolve into talking about Rami Malek and the new James Bond movie, No Time to DIe.Check out this week's Spotify Playlist:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2EnG8Gy16A4k5yEhtMrdH2?si=e073327a45ff45e3Like the show? It’s our last episode of the year (and decade, some might say)! Leslie and Bobby Newport have a nice chat, even though her tour bus interrupted a memorial for his late father. He’s so forgiving, that Bobby Newport. Chris Traeger needs to keep moving forever or else he’ll dissolve into a pit of darkness. Tom showcases a bit of his entrepreneurial mind with a snazzy alcohol-flavored yogurt concept called Yogurt Platinum.Mike O’Malley’s here too, though, we like him better as the host of Guts and Global Guts. And this episode features one of Joey’s favorite scenes, when Andy Dwyer – as Bert Macklin – recreates Jerry getting pied by a rogue attacker. We also discuss whether you can send CBD products through the mail, brazenly forget what the point of the S.S. Anne is in the original Pokemon games, and dive deep into the stats of the different Legends of the Hidden Temple teams. Very topical, as the show is about to get a reboot. Also, Sean dazzles us with his AMAZING Rodney Dangerfield impression, as well as a few other good ones he’s kept hidden up his sleeve. Here are some of Joey's impressions, too. They’re very bad. Haleigh and Sean each share mischievous stories regarding pianos.EPISODES4, E21: Bus TourDRINK OF THE EPISODETwo Roots Brewing Co. This week Jacob and Ryan remember some classic children's game shows as well as search for ancient Olmec Heads, cannibalism, candy, professional cuddling, and the summer of '69.
This week, after spending probably way too long looking at Epcot Food & Wine menus, your hosts set about giving their very own Epic Universe an attraction that doubles as military training. Oh the places we will go! First up, Jim sends a crack team of conventioneers and corporate lackeys into the suburbs of Chicago to rescue Kevin McAllister as Macauley Culkin Presents A Series Of Unfortunate Events (Sponsored By The US Army), a hell house of zany traps and terrorists just waiting for some team building exercises. Meanwhile, in another large building nearby, Scottye "invites" guests to survive (with airsoft rifles) another round of Legends Of The Hidden Temple: The New Class (we never really nailed down a title). It's time to fulfill some of those sweet, sweet revenge fantasies on those temple guards, at any rate. Winners get a free Frothy Ramen.
Into the jungle! The gang searches for a hidden temple.
This week we climb the steps of knowledge to bring you the history of a beloved 90s game show with TERRIFYING temple guards and horrible recording conditions.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/ToysWereUsPodcast)

Alright Silver Snakes, it's time to grab those jungle vines, swing across a big pool of dry ice induced fog, and earn the right to scamper through LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE. Airing from 1992 to 1994 on Nickelodeon, Legends of the Hidden Temple was the show for you if you could master a cargo net, had good listening comprehension skills when a giant rock sculpture told you a boring ass story about a lost Mesopotamian artifact AND if you didn't pee your pants when a temple guard jumps out of a dark corner! Join us as we discuss how drunk the host must have been to film 200 of these bad boys over 2 years, how shitty the prizes were (Hush Puppies, AGAIN!?), and how most of the boy contestants seemed jerky and probably have ghosted 25 girls on Tinder by now. Don't forget your life pendants ....it's time to relive Legends! Theme song performed by Deidre Cullen. Logo designed by Frankie Donlon.
