I've known Ian for about 8 years now. He was one of my first real Mexican-Mexican friends when I started playing football in Tijuana. He's molded me in so many ways that I could never express my full gratitude...but I'll save that rant for another episode haha.I gave Ian a call to ask about what his experience has been like in the hospital. I wanted to get an insider's perspective as to what the day to day looks like for a medical worker, while people like me are dicking around at home trying to convince ourselves to do an "At home" workout...I really appreciate Ian for taking the time to do this with me and I wish the best for his family, they're the real MVP's (along with alcohol producers)Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Who better to try a Zoom episode with?...No one other than the legend himself: Danny "Single DJ's dirty dick" Pamaran! It's been tough convincing people to come over and record (something about the fear of dying...) so I wanted to give this a shot and see what the feedback looked like. But whether you enjoy this or not me and DJ had a great time speaking about masturbating under quarantine, 2015, and how he's still a terrible person.Enjoy!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)

We're locked up indoors, so what better way to get back into the podcast rhythm than talking nonsense with two of your most hated/loved friends???Sunti and Ezra came over to the house to have some drinks and talk to me about what it's like having kids in 2020. Having children is one of my biggest fears so I was hoping they could enlighten me with some insight to the fatherly mind. They are both in unique paternal situations so I was legitimately just interested in how they make it work.I was happy to shake off some of the rust with this episode and plan on coming out with more as we continue to be kept away from these third avenue ladies of the night
This week we take a road trip into the deep dark land that the natives call "San Marcos".I sat down with Murrie, Ant, and Aman to discuss the tough questions in life: Why are we here?...What happens when you die?...Is this bump a cold sore or herpes?...Haha we had a fun silly goose time just hanging out and having drinks, nothing too deep but just a great time with friends. The biggest inspiration for this podcast has always been the sharing of personalities that you wouldn't usually get on the field, and I think that's exactly what this episode does.ENJOY!!!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
And we're back with another bilingual episode!!!! But just a warning...if you don't understand spanish...or if you don't like flag football...this episode is definitely not for you
Man...we dive deep in this one fellas. If you guys don't know Charles Warren then welcome to the club. We all know Mr. Warren, but there's always been a thick veil that he carries around with him...essentially the invisibility cloak in Harry Potter. So I was excited when we were able to link up and talk about who he is and what he's about. I extremely encourage everyone to listen to this one, by no means out of self promotion, but simply to listen to a man be honest about the highs and lows that make up our life.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)

BIIIIIIG DT came over to have the first ever SOBER podcast!!!!!! We talked about dogs, religion, and general teenage delinquency. A great Monday night with a very interesting young man. I loved every second of this conversation, and it's weird how much less I slur my words while sober...Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
The Brew dawg himself came over to talk about why so much shade is thrown his way for no reason!!! Not really...we mostly talked about coaching, his drawn out battle with cancer, and the life of a business owner. We had a lot of fun recording this so I hope you enjoy listening!
This episode has me in the closest thing I'll ever get to a studio. Meet Brandon Jor-El Egbert...father, athlete, and Dungeon Master on Tuesday nights! Based off the little I knew about Brandon, I was always intrigued as to how he went about cultivating his (very unique) set of passions and interests. For example, how are you balls deep into Dungeons and Dragons, but also lead your football team in touchdowns?? In reality it's not that unheard of, but I just wanted to paint a picture to explain why I was drawn to talking to him about his life. It was a blast getting to know him on a deeper level and having Steve their was just the icing on the cake that I was craving
So me and DJ decided to take a real shot at talking about the happenings in TUFF this season and it turned out exactly as we expected...horrible. No music, intro, or outro for this one. I spent way too much time adding pics to the video, so I got too lazy to go above and beyond. Remember guys...we tried.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Me and Javo linked up a while back and the episode got great feedback. However, there was one huge criticism...we don't speak english! So we're back for another go around, but this time we try in a Spanish/Spanglish masterpiece. As if you don't already have enough to mock me about, here's your chance to see how bad my Spanish really is. Javo is one of my favorite people in this world so I hope you enjoy this! (assuming you understand Spanish
Big Brit "Btorr" herself came over to the thunder dome to talk about how she went from a petite figure skater to a petite defensive end. She's an incredible young lady with an extreme work ethic to master all that she dives into. It was a lot of fun just being able to hang out and have a beer together
Cam daddy himself came by the house to talk about his family, football, and how he broke Turtle's little heart...I was a little worried about this one but Cam came in and knocked it out the park! Everyone talks about the family life but it really seemed to radiate off of him while he talked about supporting/providing for the ones he loved. Let me introduce you to a man who's full of love and full of jokes
I was blessed with the opportunity to sit down with one of the most enthusiastic people you will ever meet! She is a lovely/aggressive young lady who enjoys the flag football community even more than I do. We cover everything from hummus to long distance relationships in this conversation, so I hope you guys enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording
I've been in a lot of random situations in my life, and this one fits right on in. We made Caio some flags a couple weeks ago, and after receiving the product he deemed us worthy of meeting with the power that be at Undisputed Flag Football. So what was initially an introductory partnership meeting, turned into a podcast for your guy's entertainment. This is another one of those episodes where I had never met the guests beforehand and once again it went extremely well. The only bad part was that we did it completely sober....Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Steve and Steve come over for some beers and BS...the conversation took an interesting twist when we started down the religion road. It was cool getting to know Scuba on more of a personal level, I came to the conclusion that he's a much better human being than I will ever be. Check out Steve's podcast "Beers and Bullshit" once they get unblocked
Loui G, aka on the clock daddy, aka TUFF San Diego front man, aka the Loui of all trades, came over to check out the new studio. We talked about family, flag, on the clock sports, tuff league, and how we're not sure if Timme likes us or not...This was the first episode I've done since being back in the states, so I was pumped to just sit down with a buddy and poison ourselves

We have the whole squad today! Jade, Bea, #Tori, Gorilla, Carlota, and even Leo all joined in on this one! On our last elephant hike we decided to have a little pow-wow while we ate our lunches. Topics ranged everywhere from me being an affair baby to the meaning of life...it was a blast. My phone overheated at some point, so it abruptly cuts off at the end. However, it was still a blessing to sit down one last time with everyone and really get to know each other. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Let me introduce you guys to Alex Johncola (ugh, it even feels wrong spelling it...). Borderline genius/party animal/puppy lover, pretty much the full package. I've had the pleasure of spending almost every day of the last three weeks with her, so I was excited when she agreed to hang out with me for a bit to talk about what makes her tick. She really is an open book, and if you listen to the podcast then you'll understand what I'm talking about. We had a blast and it was really inspiring to see so much wisdom come from such a young soul. Ladies and gentlemen...Alex JohncolaSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
You never know who you're going to meet in life...So last week, Rosella and I show up to a tiny village in the middle of nowhere. Intimidated, overwhelmed, and low key mud-butty, we walked into a tree house that we would essentially be calling "Home" for the next 8 weeks. I was getting ready to make a run for it, but that's when I saw him: He was like a white, bearded, angel, his name: Chris Bonnar. It's rare for me to come across someone with common interests as me, so that's why I was honored to sit down and talk to him about the road that life has taken him down. Let me introduce you guys to an incredible individual with even more incredible experiences.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Before I hit the road again I had to get an episode in with DJ. So the stars seemed to align for us to have a lovely evening in North Park, discussing flag football...it didn't exactly go down that way. Stewie joined us (kind of) for this verbal threesome and we ended up talking less about flag football, and more about life. It gets a little dark at some points guys, don't say I didn't warn you. *The best part of this conversation was left off the mic because according to Stewie's AFFL contract, he cannot be filmed without written consent (He's changed...)Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Me and Rosella are back with another road trip episode! This time, instead of driving through the slums of California, we're out on the roads of New Zealand trying not to drive off a cliff. We left San Diego 6 months ago with a farewell episode, so this is our recap of the journey so far...pardon the pauses and lack of editing hahaSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Let me introduce you to a couple young bloods: Jordan Benavides and Brianna Whitehead (I promise she's not racist). Two young twenty-somethings who quit their 9-5's to take a little trip across the world! Rosella and I met them during our cruise and we ultimately ended up having a great time with them. They're both extremely intelligent and self aware individuals, which led to a fun conversation about their little adventure. This was the first good beer I had in months, so forgive me if I slurred my words a little more than usual...Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Why would a middle aged Canadian man live on a beautiful cliff side property in a rural Filipino town?...I'll let him answer that for you. Steve, Yvonne, Rosella, and I all joined in for this verbal orgy. At the end of our Greece trip, we sat around the bed in Santorini to talk about what traveling means to each of us and why we do it. I love everyone in this conversation like family (one technically is) so it was just a fun talk to have after a long week together. Even though our opinions vary, one thing that is undeniable is that Steve's dad is a terrible human being...Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Me and Corey Webb, aka "BBQ Chicken", aka "The Dip Master", aka "Baby Webb", aka my roomie this past weekend in Panama...sat down before the championship game to talk about the whole experience and what it means to represent the USA. I had never spoken to Webb a day in my life before last weekend, but in that short time of getting to know him it became crystal clear how much of a caring and generous individual he was. He pretty much saved my trip hahaSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Ever have to share a deep secret with someone? The fear of not knowing how they're gonna react, are they gonna treat you differently? Will they still help you move??? We took a little drive around Manhattan with my buddy (who will remain anonymous) and talked about his journey through life and coming to terms with his homosexuality...pretty sure I'm wording something offensively Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
It's rare in life that you meet someone who really shatters all expectations, but that is exactly what happened to me this passed Saturday. Everyone knows him as "Manzy" but all I knew is that he was part of the Money Team who knocked my buddies out of the same tournament just a couple weeks back. So I slid into his DM, drove (half asleep) 5 hours to have a conversation with this man (and also buy some beer), and all I can say is that every minute of the drive was worth it. My words won't do him justice, so just listen for yourself to the man behind the Money Team.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
Prepare yourself to meet the angriest-happy guy in the world! Jake Wolfey Wolfe and his family had such a huge positive impact on my life, so it was an honor to hang out at there house and talk to Jake about an almost fatal accident that he had a few years back. We got into not only the physical struggles, but also the psychological and spiritual ones. We recorded this in San Luis Obispo while my chicken pox was barely starting to act up, so forgive me if I sound a little out of it. Either way, it was a great conversation with an even better friend!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/mandodirt)
For those of you who haven’t heard this story a million times already...me and rosella decided to do some extended traveling across the U.S. and Asia/Southeast Asia. This was recorded as we hit the road and left San Diego for hopefully a year (more realistically until we go broke
I Regret Nothing by Csaba SzékelyPart Two of TwoThe second half of I Regret Nothing picks up the story of retired Romanian secret service officer Dominic Cormoş as he comes face to face with the repercussions of his past and makes a decision that will shape his future and that of his 16-year-old neighbor Liza.In the first half of the play, Dominic was visited by two other characters: Alex Dima, one of Dominic's former subordinates and now a high-ranking agent in the intelligence service, planted a bug in Dominic's apartment and attempted to blackmail him into performing a high-stakes mission. And Liza, Dominic's sixteen-year-old neighbor, turned up asking to use his toilet when her abusive father's daily tirade kept her from her own apartment. An unexpected friendship between Liza and Dominic sprouted from a shared love of dogs. The character of Dominic was played by Paul Valley, Alex by Rob Neill, and Liza by Jocelyn Kuritsky, under Sarah Cameron Sunde’s direction.Play for Voices audio plays are recorded at Harvestworks by audio engineer Kevin Ramsay.Play for Voices is produced by Matt Fidler, Anne Posten, Katrin Redfern, and Jen Zoble.About the AuthorCsaba Székely was born in 1981 in Târgu Mureș, Romania. I Regret Nothing by Csaba SzékelyPart One of TwoIt’s the summer of 2006, and Dominic Cormoş, a retired agent of the Securitate--the notorious secret police of Communist Romania--is living alone in his Transylvania apartment. With media coverage of the prosecutions of ex-Communist law enforcement officials in the background, Dominic is paid two surprise visits that will prove deeply consequential: the first, by Alex Dima, who served under Dominic in the Securitate and is now working in the Romanian Intelligence Service; and the second, by his sixteen-year-old neighbor Liza.
