"What do you think of Ketogenic dieting" Keto dieting has become very trendy as of late in the tech community and biohacking community. Like most diets, its extremely hyped, and like most diets, the reality is very different from the often magical expectations people have about it Keto dieting has definite evidence as a nutritional strategy for diabetics, people with metabolic syndrome, and obesity. It also has very interesting and powerful effects for certain types of cancer and neurological disorders As a general diet though to professionally recommend, Keto dieting is often NOT sustainable, it is NOT proven to "work" for everyone, and many people find their health suffers negatively from attempting it. It also can produce rapid short term weight loss, but then a rebound yo-yo effect happens, and the weight is gained back Keto dieting MIGHT be worth experimenting with, and definitely applies to certain populations, but as a more extreme diet in regards to its eating restrictions, and this makes the sustainability factor a major issue. Unless there are valid medical reasons, I don't professionally suggest it as someone's starting point to health eating. A more reasonable approach would be to try a very low carb diet, and then navigate from there.
