According to Marc Elias, Dahlia Lithwick's guest on Amicus, “This week will be looked back on as a pivot point in terms of how the midterms play out.” Elias is a nationally recognized authority on voting rights, redistricting and campaign finance law. He is Chair of Elias Law Group and founder of Democracy Docket. In the past few weeks, Donald Trump's election denialism has kicked into high gear, just as his poll numbers hit new lows. Elias tells us the FBI/DNI raid to seize ballots in Fulton County, Georgia, and Steve Bannon's new threats to surround polling places with ICE officers in November, show an administration that is prototyping new mechanisms for election subversion and voter suppression. But the public has power in this scenario, especially if they start paying attention to elections and voting rights now, rather than the day before November 3rd, 2026.Want more Amicus? Send us a textI've been trying to find this bourbon for a while, folks. No, seriously. Years ago, I was told of a bourbon that was 4 years old, brand new, and held promise for the future of the industry as we know it. Have you heard of it? Well, funny enough, I've heard this story over and over again, and it's lead to successes unheard of on so many occasions. But, here we are, facing down the barrel of the potential next big kid to be featured in your home bar. Jackson Purchase, out of Western Kentucky, is helmed by two veteran Kentucky Bourbon distillers who are ready to make a name for themselves and are bringing the heat with the first release of their new brand. It's time to take it to the paint and discuss what makes it work and where things can go from here. The 'Buller Bluewater Classic' is a new month-long big game fishing competition out of the Port of Westport. It seems warmer water temperatures has resulted in a flurry of marlin along with mahi mahi and giant tuna, and that's got game fishers excited. One of the fishermen leading the charge is Jason Anderson from the 'Reel Adventures with Jase' YouTube channel.
Finding Treasures in the Trash has always lived between what we hide and what saves us, and this moment marks its most honest turning point yet. Cari Jacobs-Crovetto shares why the show is stepping out on its own and moving to the newly formed Magic Thread Media, a network devoted to weaving conscious voices into business, creativity, and spiritual life. As she reflects on the early episodes, Cari names the deeper work that has quietly emerged: inner truth work. She explores how anxiety, shadow, and disowned parts of ourselves become survival strategies, why truth often freezes in time, and how unexamined insight can slip into self-justification and managed presence. This episode grounds the future of the Finding Treasures in the Trash podcast in coherence and congruence, where nothing essential is pushed away and nothing is performed. This evolution invites you into a deeper relationship with yourself, where the treasure is found only by staying with what once felt unbearable.Key Takeaways:Truth Can't Be Reached Through Performance – Learn why looking good, being right, and staying safe block real self-truth.Shadow Is Adapted Truth – See how shadow reflects parts of you that learned to survive, not parts that are broken. Why Truth Freezes in Time – Understand how safety, shame, and belonging force parts of us underground. When Insight Turns Performative – Learn how values and spirituality lose depth when disowned parts stay hidden.Coherence and Congruence – Discover the difference between looking aligned and actually being whole. Why Trust Frays in Relationships – See how self-betrayal quietly erodes trust long before words do.About Cari:Cari Jacobs-Crovetto is a coach, secular meditation teacher, and somatic healing practitioner who blends decades of senior corporate leadership with deep therapeutic training to support meaningful personal and professional growth. After a successful career spanning global brands, media networks, consulting, and multiple Bay Area startups, she now works full-time with business leaders and individuals navigating transition, anxiety, disconnection, and the desire for deeper fulfillment. Cari offers one-on-one and relationship coaching, group work, retreats, organizational alignment, conflict resolution, and strategic future-visioning, helping clients cultivate clarity, resilience, and more conscious ways of leading and living.https://www.bravedirections.com/https://www.linkedin.com/in/carisf/https://www.instagram.com/cari_jacobs_sfThanks for listening! Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! New Big 3—Starting July 29, 2025 Live from the inner sanctum of conservative thought—and kicking off another brand new hour—fighting for you from the Foxhole of Freedom— WARNING: The Steve Gruber Show often results in Extended periods of American pride, American optimism and uncontrollable enthusiasm about America's future! Kicking off the live broadcast day on Real America's Voice and MTN and reaching a growing global audience—this is the Steve Gruber Show— And this is a no panic zone! Here are the three big things to know this hour— Number One— In Texas a move underway, like that in several other states to require proof of citizenship and residency in order to vote—seems like a very good idea—and I can't reason why anyone would say no— Number Two— The so-called Pelosi Act is making its way through the House and Senate—and if signed into law would prohibit the buying and selling of stock by those in Congress— Number Three— The latest discovery in the investigation of Russia-gate – FBI Director Kash Patel has made a shocking discovery – multiple so-called “burn bags” stored in a secret room inside the bureau that contain thousands of sensitive documents on the origin of Crossfire Hurricane. You can't make this stuff up. “Burn bags” are typically used to destroy classified documents – but it looks like the goonies forgot about these bags – probably because they tried to hide them so diligently – out of sight, out of mind. In case you missed it – this is what Kash Patel had to say about finding a secret room on Joe Rogan earlier this year – Bite #12 Looks like that methodical investigation has dug up some real treasure. This really is a full-circle moment – considering Kash was the chief investigator of the Russia Russia hoax years ago – he's the one uncovered that the government was illegally spying on the Trump campaign – his findings are what got Mueller and Durham appointed as special counsels on the case. And now – one of the documents that Patel's FBI found in a burn bag was the classified annex to former special counsel John Durham's final report – a damning report on intelligence that completely undermines the Russia Russia narrative and what the FBI really was up to. Our friend John Solomon has asked President Trump about this annex – and says that Trump has promised to declassify it – maybe as early as this week – and this is what we should expect to find – listen – Bite #13 All the key players – CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Kash Patel, DNI Director Tulsi Gabbard, and Attorney General Pam Bondi – are working on declassifying this bombshell – which will, reportedly, be handed off to the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley who's been after the white whale for years. It's quite frankly shocking that we even have this much documentation on the Obama-Clinton enterprise's criminal deeds – Trump says it's pretty astounding to be vindicated after all these years – listen – Bite #14 I do think it's shocking to be finding all of this in writing – and I do wonder if a courageous whistleblower could have aided Patel and Gabbard in these discoveries… It was 20 FBI and CIA agents who confirmed to Tulsi Gabbard's team that Obama's team manipulated the Trump-Russia intelligence – and I wouldn't be surprised if there are more who have a lot more to tell – I think there's a lot of men and women out there – scared to risk their lives and their careers – but who are sick about this blatant attempt at a cover-up – This could be the final nail in the coffin – definitive evidence that there was a coordinated plan to conspire against the duly elected incoming President. And there's no statute of limitations on a conspiracy charge – CIA Director Ratcliffe seems to think the DOJ is going to have a hole-in-one with this annex – listen – Bite #15 Justice has been a long time coming – and it's what the American people want – it's definitely a clear, resounding mandate for the Trump Administration – Rasmussen Reports pollster Mark Mitchell says his polling indicates just that, too – listen – Bite #16 I just don't see how the architects behind Crossfire Hurricane are going to explain this away – no amount of MSNBC hits could save them now – even though the out-of-touch outlet sure can try – listen to them cover this story – Bite #17 And they call themselves journalists – they should be ashamed – but they're not – There's something to be said about leaving the past in the past – but this is not that. The Deep State has been waging war on the America First agenda for a decade now – and they won't stop – not without a flurry of arrests and consequences – Attorney General Pam Bondi has the chance to send a clear message that undermining the will of the American people will not go unnoticed or unpunished – and I hope she does – Even with the annex in hand – it's going to be an uphill battle – there will be questions about authenticity – about who put the burn bags in that room – and at who's order – I'm sure the courts will throw up hurdle after hurdle – but it's a fight worth having – Donald Trump has admitted that he went easy on Hillary Clinton during his first administration – in the name of moving forward – but he says he feels differently now – about going after his political opponents for their obvious crimes – listen – Bite #18 In my opinion – there's going to be an obvious case against the likes of John Brennan, James Comey, and James Clapper – and there's not going to much for them to hide behind – Prosecuting Barack Obama is a different beast – we all know that presidential immunity covers a multitude of sins – and it will likely cover these – But my friend John Solomon has a pretty clever recommendation for the Justice Department – in catching Obama by giving him a taste of his own medicine – listen – Bite #19 I like it – it's bold – but as he said – it's not like it hasn't been done before. This bombshell could be the thing to rock the Deep State – big props to Patel and Gabbard for digging in deep – Americans want justice – so it's time to get ready to hit back hard! **LIVE READ** Did you know that American Homeowners nationwide have over 32 TRILLION DOLLARS in equity? Guess who's back, back again, Shady's back, tell a friend. After an impressive AFC championship performance, the Kansas City Chiefs will take their yearly visit back to the SuperBowl for the third straight year, with a chance to make history. Joined by Steve Kim, Whitlock reveals the NFL formula that has led to overwhelming success over the last 25 years. However, standing in the Chiefs' way are the revamped and hungry Philadelphia Eagles, fueled by their game-changing running back Saquon Barkley, who just showed in the NFC championship game why he is the real MVP. Will the power-running Eagles be able to outwit today's NFL dynasty? Or will this just be 2022 all over again? In other news, those who have an unshakable foundation won't be uprooted when the power of the stream barrels down. Stephen A. Smith has no foundation. Over the last year, he has played this wishy-washy narrative, leeching off whatever political party can benefit him the most. Jason unloads on the Manchurian Candidate, who seems to be lost, desperately grabbing onto the side that wins. Freshly released from his 4 year jail sentence without trial, Jake Lang, Jan. 6 has a heart to heart with Jason and reflects on his life incarcerated. An incredible story of faith, courage, and grace. Lastly, “Fearless” is joined by Shemeka Michelle, who addresses the recent reports of the DEI woke mind virus affecting Costco.
