*Today we present the return of a classic show. Bob Enyart builds on last week's intro to our 2021 presentation of Nicer than God and promos the next few scheduled Real Science Radio programs including this week's interview of molecular biologist Dr. Kevin Anderson on both the covid and on RNA vaccines, next week's interview with Alan Bunning who has wrested the cutting edge of New Testament textual analysis away from unbelievers, and following that, an interview with Mark Armitage, the scientist who's published again in a prestigious peer-reviewed science journal yet another discovery of dinosaur soft tissue (as at bflist.rsr.org). * This Just in from an Ex-gay: After Bob mentioned on yesterday's program that homosexuals do reproduce sexually, by molesting children, we received this sad but at the same time, celebratory message from Jonah Weller... I was recruited into the 'gay' life by an older man when I was seventeen. I was homosexual with my piano teacher for nine years, and thought I should have been a girl. Now, here in Oregon, (even though I was 'raped') if I refused to play love songs for a gay wedding, I would be breaking the law! This is against my rights as a Christian. It is not 'equality,' but homosexual supremacy! They are not persecuted! There are many like me who were feminine and gay, but Jesus changed my life. I am much happier now, even though people 'discriminate' against me! God bless you. Keep up the good work Bob. Honesty set me free! Today's Resource: Nicer Than God Enjoy this fast-paced critique of religion where Bob Enyart presents questions such as: When should a Christian lie? Should he ever mock? How about name-calling? Does sarcasm belong in the Christian's repertoire? How about ridicule? Learn why nice is not in the Bible and how to identify a Nicer-Than-God Christian. If Christians are not supposed to judge, then why does Jesus command us to judge rightly? And if only God will judge, then why does Paul say that we believers will judge the angels, and judge the world? If Jesus logged onto a website forum under a pseudonym, would we recognize Him, or condemn Him? This album communicates well Bob Enyart's unique style. But, warning, warning, warning, Will Robertson, it is not for the faint of heart. The Bible tells the story of human history and the work of God for His creation. And as all good stories do, Scripture has a plot! Grasping the big picture will help you reconcile many seemingly contradictory and controversial Bible passages. So consider listening to The Plot series based on Bob's manuscript of the same title. Then enjoy these book studies and see how the big picture can help you to better know the living God.
One of the most important factors of monetization is creating a great product that people would want to buy. However, the process of creating and developing a new product can be very daunting. In fact, more than 30,000 new products are launched each year and 95% of them fail (Source: Harvard Business School). Moreover, only 40% of developed products make it to market and of that 40%, only 60% will have any success at all. (Source: Marketing Research Association). That's why I have Bob Healey with me today. Bob is the founder and CEO of GrillBlazer, which makes a line of products called GrillGuns. Bob has worked as a consultant, helping different organizations with their products, processes, and business development. Bob is an engineer who loves to find the root cause of any problem and come up with creative solutions. Today, Bob and I discuss how he started GrillBlazer, and Bob explains his process and secrets concerning product creation and product development. Looking at the Big Picture Bob believes that the reason he is who he is today, an engineer and a businessman, is his ability to see the finish line faster than anybody else, even when he doesn't know what he wants to do. It's like when he used to flip houses when he was younger. He would see the potential of a house well before he remodeled it to match the picture he had in his head. Bob doesn't think it matters whether or not we're working on something we've done before. Even if it's something we're doing for the first time, we should be able to see what the end looks like. Do We Have What it Takes? Bob says that a lot of people have crazy and great ideas, but most of them don't understand what it takes to make those ideas come true. His advice is that whenever we want to accomplish something, we need to know if we have the necessary resources to make it happen. “Success is not for those who want it, nor those who need it, but for those who are utterly determined to seize it一whatever it takes.” (Source: Darren Hardy, New York Times best-selling author) As an engineer, Bob used to design a lot of products for other companies. Part of what he did was to improve the performance of these companies' processes or products. He had worked for American Electric Power as a contractor. For 6 years, Bob worked for AEP managing contracts and negotiations until the company, looking to cut down costs, decided to let go of all their contractors. Bob found himself stuck between two options: either work for AEP full-time or find something else to do. Since he didn't want to work for the company anymore, he decided to leave. After Bob told his wife he was no longer working for AEP, they spent a few days making a list of the things he wanted to do. Bob started by prioritizing what he believed was important. He also gave himself the freedom to add to his list whenever he came up with something new. He needed to find out whether or not its priority took precedence over what he was currently working on. Knowing When NOT to Proceed For a whole year, Bob worked on two products prior to GrillBlazer. He had finished the development of both products when he was trying to figure out what was required to be successful in launching these products as businesses. One of the two products was in a very mature multi-billion dollar industry. Bob took time to understand how he would enter that market, what it would cost him, whether or not this business would bring him personal stratification, and what the end result would look like. After Bob had thought about all these factors, he realized that this wasn't where he wanted to end up. Bob believes that it takes discipline to stop working on what doesn't bring us closer to where we want to be. Having enough discipline, Bob decided not to proceed with launching the product. How GrillGlazer Started Bob and his family enjoyed having barbecues. It didn't matter what time of the year it was, they would just have people over and charcoal grill a meal. It was during one of those barbecues, in December 2017, that Bob realized not a lot of people liked to charcoal grill when the snow was blowing. It was too much effort to try to light the grill. Bob realized that his way of lighting the grill was much easier and it worked all year round. While he was standing out in the cold, taking steaks off the grill, he found his next project. He started discussing his idea with his family. He knew what he wanted to do and what the end product should be, but he just didn't know how to do it yet. Although his way of lighting a charcoal grill was efficient, it was complicated and unattractive. So, one of his sons-in-law suggested he make the product look like a gun because people would think it was cool. It turned out to be great advice. Bob recalls one of his earlier conversations with an attorney, who he was considering as his legal counsel and who was really excited about Bob's product. Bob asked him if the product had a different design, would he have still bought it? The answer was no. Bob realized that the gun shape made his product look cool, and it was one of the primary reasons why people bought it. Understand What the Market Wants Bobs says that it's essential to figure out and understand what the market wants. Had he not considered what people wanted before he developed his product, he would have ended up with a product that no one wanted to buy. He would have spent all his energy and time trying to convince people that they needed to buy his product. Instead, he just designed a product that people found cool and inclined to buy. “Don't find customers for your products, find products for your customers.” - Seth Godin How to Come up with a Highly Profitable Product When I asked Bob to share with us his top strategies to develop a profitable product, he said starting a business from scratch is a complex process. We have to take into consideration all of the aspects of how to design something people will want and then create, manufacture and finance it. Bob advises that we start by asking ourselves: “How are we going to make it happen?” It's not enough to think that just because we have a great idea, someone else will want to do the work for us. When Bob was in the process of creating GrillBlazer, he knew because of his experience whenever he would face an obstacle, he would find the resources needed to overcome it. Bob believes we must fully understand the tremendous amount of work involved in this process. Because if we're not willing to go the distance, we're not going to make it. Bob also stresses how important it is to ask ourselves if we have what it takes to make our products happen, without having to rely on someone else to do it for us. Creating Credibility Bob mentions how important it is to create credibility so that people can trust us. He tells us how he was able to raise $560,000 by running a Kickstarter fundraising campaign. Although some people doubted if his product was going to sell, by going on to sell $2M worth of products in just the first year of launching, Bob proved how successful his product was. Key Takeaways Thank you so much Bob for sharing your stories and knowledge with us today. Here are some of my key takeaways from this episode: The most successful people have the ability to look at the big picture. They see what the end looks like. It's not enough to have a great idea. It's equally important to understand if we have what it takes to get this idea to the finish line. It takes as much discipline to know when to stop just as it takes to proceed. If we don't reach beyond our skillset and find people who will augment what we know, we'll be stuck where we are. Before we put time and effort into developing a product, we must ask ourselves if we have what it takes for our product to be successful. A regular meditation practice can be a powerful tool for improving your life, particularly if you are dealing with substance use disorder. Russell Brand is a great example. After Bob taught him to meditate, the former drug addict said the technique provided him with an important tool to maintain his physical and mental health. Over the years, Bob has learned a lot about what the brain goes through during addiction and recovery, and today Bob is passing on that knowledge to you. After Bob hung up for real life stuff (which we don't seem to have), we covered more about the 3 types of drive motorcycles have. More educational crap includes what chain numbers (like 520x112) mean, explanations about which drive is best for which style of riding, lubing/cleaning routines, how to adjust them, and more that I can't remember at this point of writing the show notes.Commentators: Zee Travelr and Dakota HowardWarning - Explicit content and vulgar language.Zee's Link Mentions:Sprocket Center - https://sprocketcenter.com/off-road-sprockets/suzuki/dr-350-90-93/off-road-sprocket-kit-performance-steel-sprocket-set-with-your-choice-of-premium-chain-suzuki-dr-350-90-93.htmlLube comparison video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnPYdcbcAe0 If you like the show and want to show support, please consider becoming a monthly Patreon subscriber or using PayPal for a one time donation!www.patreon.com/BaBandMMVpaypal.me/bunkabikervenmo.com/ZeeTravelerCheck out our website for links to our gear, photos of what we talk about, and other cool stuff!www.motorcyclevagabondshow.com/ep11.html

Bob Goff calls himself a "recovering lawyer" because after practicing law for 25 years, then becoming the Hon. Consul to Uganda, he gave up his law firm to pursue writing and speaking full time. (You probably know him from his bestselling book Love Does.) The best part has been connecting with so many people who are on a terrific adventure as well. In this conversation, Bob shares how he hopes his new book Everybody, Always will help all of us love even the people we don't like, the people that we avoid, and (our favorite) the people that creep us out. He points out that it's hard to love your neighbors if you don't know them. Lots of us feel like God would be thrilled with us if we travelled across the world to love people there, but Bob shares that he's pretty sure God is dazzled when we walk across the street to say hello to our neighbors. Some solid gold quotes by Bob in this conversation: We only want to be around people that we like. When your love has an agenda it's not love anymore. You might get sad, but don't get stuck. After Bob's interview, Pastor Daron and Radio Theology co-host Ryan Ahlwardt take a deeper dive into what it actually means to love our neighbors and how God can take us on the adventure of a lifetime if we just take a walk across the street. About Everybody, Always Everybody, Always releases on April 17th, 2018. “What happens when we stop avoiding difficult people and simply love everyone? In his wildly entertaining and inspiring follow-up to the New York Times bestselling phenomenon Love Does, Bob Goff takes readers on a life-altering journey into the secret of living without fear, care, constraint, or worry. The path toward the outsized, unfettered, liberated existence we all long for is found in a truth as simple to say as it is hard to do: love people, even the difficult ones, without distinction and without limits. Driven by Bob's trademark hilarious and insightful storytelling, Everybody, Always reveals the lessons Bob learned - often the hard way - about what it means to love without inhibition, insecurity, or restriction. From finding the right friends to discovering the upside of failure, Everybody, Always points the way to embodying love by doing the unexpected, the intimidating, the seemingly impossible. Whether losing his shoes while skydiving solo or befriending a Ugandan witch doctor, Bob steps into life with a no-limits embrace of others that is as infectious as it is extraordinarily ordinary. Everybody, Always reveals how we can do the same. About the Born to Be Podcast The Born to Be Podcast is focused on helping you discover your unique calling and purpose in life. Bob has been racing his entire life. He got started in small Morgans and Triumphs in California and was jealous of the loud and fast American race cars. He stepped up to Corvettes and started winning immediately. He caught the eye of Carol Shelby who was trying to get Bob to race in the Shelby Cobra. After Bob had to race against a Cobra, he was convinced it was superior and went over to Carol’s team to drive. He won a bunch of races that year and then they took the Cobra to Europe with Dan Gurney to dominate there as well. This led to a stent with Enzo Ferrari racing and testing in Formula 1. Then Peter Revson of the Revlon Company lured Bob back to the US to race in CanAm Series. During one of the races, there was a mechanical failure which sent Bob into the wall and crushed both his feet. The doctors said he would never walk, much less race, again. From this tragedy came the opportunity to create the Bondurant Racing School. He has been at a few locations over the years. But he fell in love with Arizona because of the very predictable weather patterns. This means that he has the best chance to get people out on the track and teach them how to drive. Their programs range from 1-day short courses to a full 4-day open wheel racing school. They have teamed up with Dodge to offer driving schools for anybody who purchase an SRT vehicle and even have a new Demon school where they teach you how to drag race. And yes, Bob was able to heal from the crash and still drives on the track. Even at 85 years young!

Bob Crane was an entertainer from a very early age. He would go from being a disc jockey, to a radio host, to the star of a popular sitcom in the late 1960s. He had an accomplished career in entertainment. On June 29th, 1978 Bob was found murdered in his apartment in Scottsdale, Arizona. Bob's secret fetishes would come out publicly after his murder. He, along with his friend John Carpenter, enjoyed the company of scores of women and they would photograph and videotape their trysts. After Bob's murder, his friend John would jump to the top of the police's list of suspects. But police didn't have enough evidence to put John on trial for murder back in the 70's. They would try their luck in putting him away for Crane's murder in the early 90's. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the life and death of Bob Crane. To fully discuss the man you have to delve into his fascination with photographing and videotaping his sexual activities with women outside of his marriage. Was Bob Crane really murdered by one of his best friends? Or could it have been one of the many women or their significant others that had an axe to grind with Bob? The one and only Bob Chipman aka “Movie Bob” joins Evan and Kris for this week’s episode about JURASSIC WORLD and THE CONNECTION. First up is a game of “Get to Know Your Guest Host,” where Bob shares how he got into reviewing movies. After that Bob and Kris spoilerpiece JURASSIC WORLD, a film that Bob enjoyed despite its silliness. Just how silly is it? Well, there are weaponized dinosaurs and Chris Pratt basically plays “Velociraptor Dundee.” After Bob and Kris get all the spoiling out of their systems, Evan fills them in on THE CONNECTION, a movie which feels like the French version of Michael Mann’s HEAT. Chekhov’s Gun discussions and Indiana Jones references are in ample supply, as are tangents about BLOWN AWAY and THE GODFATHER.
