We're blessed to hear from our Campus Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us the final message in our series about porn, purity, and purpose called "Shameless". This message reminds us that God's strategy for purity is not about fighting harder but running in the right direction. From 2 Timothy 2:22, we learn that freedom comes when we run from temptation, run toward God's purposes, and run with others in community. Instead of carrying shame or battling lust in isolation, we can experience the wholeness, healing, and purpose God designed for us by pursuing him together. We've just landed back from our tour around many beautiful parts of Ireland and we've got some great live guest interviews to bring you over the coming months.  One particular stand out interview was in The Source Arts Centre in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, with an incredible man, Aidan Loughnane.  After a lengthy battle with grief, anxiety and an eating disorder, that almost pushed him to the brink of death, Aidan decided to turn his life around. He found a love for running and began sharing his story and love for exercise on his Instagram, Running with Aidan, where he has built a community of runners and supporters with his tough love approach. Niall and Aidan discussed their similar journeys with mental health and exercise, the good, the bad and the obsessive, and the small moments of hope and perspective that pulled Aidan out of a dark place. Once again we thank The Grand Historian for giving up another good one. This one's an eight-character chengyu. The story goes back to 206 BC and the famous story of Liu Bang and Xiang Yu's meeting at The Banquet at Hongmen. Here, the two contenders for the emperorship of China, meet face to face. Only one of them could sit on that throne and beginning right here, the Chu-Han Contention begins. The chengyu for this time, 项庄舞剑, 意在沛公 Xiàng Zhuāng Wǔ Jiàn, Yì Zài Pèi Gōng comes from this slice of history mentioned in the Record of the Grand Historian from the chapter on Xiang Yu. People who have a lot to lose, especially in the world of politics and government should pay attention to this one. It's a good one to use when describing someone who may appear all nice and pleasant but who has a hidden motive to do you harm. Enjoy!
