Creating and launching a product can be a lengthy process, often taking several years from conception to market. At Bring Your Product Idea To Life, I aim to provide a realistic behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to develop and sell your own product. The journey doesn't end with the product launch; creators face the additional challenge of promoting and selling their innovation. Many juggle this process while maintaining other jobs, a balancing act that requires dedication and strategic time management. This week's guest, engineer and entrepreneur Scott Deas, exemplifies this journey. Scott created Ooshky, a unique whiskey water pourer that combines the functionality of a bulb dropper and a pipette. This water drop-shaped jug allows whisky enthusiasts to add either a splash or a precise drop of water to their dram.Scott sells Ooshky directly to consumers through his website and Amazon, and has also secured placement in over 20 retail shops. He shares his experience of bringing Ooshky to life, from the initial idea to prototype development and current manufacturing processes. Scott also discusses the unique marketing challenges of introducing a product so innovative that many people are unaware of its existence. As a startup founder with a full-time job, Scott offers valuable insights into time management, task prioritisation, and the importance of identifying which activities to eliminate to make room for both his career and entrepreneurial pursuits.Scott's story is a realistic perspective on the dedication required to turn a product idea into a successful venture while maintaining work-life balance. The Bring Your Product Idea to Life Podcast - Best Business Podcast Award, Independent Podcast Awards 2023USEFUL RESOURCES:Ooshky WebsiteOoshky FacebookOoshky InstagramOoshky LinkedInOoshky TikTokOoshky YoutubeUK Government: Flexible Working PolicyEpisode 202 How to get your own PR in 2024 - with Rosie Davies-Smith - PR DespatchThis episode is proudly sponsored by my own book - Bring Your Product Idea to LifeHave you ever had a great idea for a product? Speaker: Ryan Deas Opening Scripture: Acts 8:26-39 Summary: Pastor Ryan Deas began by reading Acts 8:26-39, recounting the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. He emphasized the power and significance of being baptized in Jesus' name and how this act transforms lives. Deas discussed how the eunuch, despite being an outsider and physically cut off from the community, was deeply hungry for God's truth. This hunger led him to read Isaiah, even though he didn't fully understand it. God noticed his sincerity and sent Philip to guide him, demonstrating that God reaches out to those earnestly seeking Him. The key message was the importance of preaching Jesus and nothing else. Deas highlighted that Philip's approach was solely focused on Jesus, leading the eunuch to ask about baptism naturally. The message of Jesus Christ is transformative and immediate; it calls for a complete reliance on Him, resulting in drastic life changes. Deas explained that being baptized in Jesus' name signifies being fully immersed in His death and resurrection, leading to a new life. He stressed that this transformation is not about our efforts but about fully placing our faith in Jesus. In conclusion, Deas urged listeners to seek Jesus above all else, emphasizing that He must be enough.

D:U:LIVE is coming in June! My first live shows since 2013.... London / Bristol / Manchester - all tickets: scubaoficial.io/liveWe've been covering techno quite a lot on the show recently, but mostly from a legacy perspective. This week we are joined with one of the last few years' breakdown names on the production side.Based in Krakow, Poland, Karol Mozgawa aka Deas emerged largely via the Audio River festival, a truly world class event which is now its seventeenth year. Releases on CLR, Dynamic Reflection, Planet Rhythm, Materia and others have cemented his name in the DJ sets of the biggest and best techno jocks on the circuit.Karol is a proper studio guy, with a room full of kit in his house outside Krakow, so we get into the weeds a bit with audio interfaces and outboard gear in this conversation. But we also delve into more familiar territory too, addressing the state of the current scene, the good points and bad, as well as some scene-specific stuff in Poland too. This is a good one, you're gonna enjoy it!If you're into what we're doing here on the pod then you can support the show on Patreon! If you want to become a self made millionaire here is the truth about all the techniques taught by the top business leaders. They all work—and they all don't. I've spent millions flying around the world, learning from the experts. I've watched. I've listened. I've tried it all myself—And now I'm giving it all away for free. But here's the catch:I used many of these techniques to build my first successful business in the solar industry back in 2012. I was financially successful, but I was fucking miserable. Then I thought I got smart. My best mate, Deas, and I built a “freedom business.” Working part-time, we grew our education company to 1M/month business and in March 2016, it all fell apart when he died in a tragic accident. I was Angry and miserable again. That sent me on a journey that led to learning how to recode my identity, integrate my shadow and step into your superpower, none of this stuff matters. For entrepreneurs, (probably you reading this) it's the catalyst that makes all the other tools more powerful. The secret to a successful business and a fulfilling life isn't a marketing technique or a system for productivity. The one tool I used to go from a few hundred thousand per month to over $1M and more is the Magnetic Mind Method. It's getting rid of the barriers and the bullshit that stand between you and the business you're trying to build. So again, you'll get all those business hacks for free. My guests will be people who've used them successfully and a few of the people who created them. But most importantly, you'll learn what you need to do to get more out of your time and your business by becoming a Superconscious Entrepreneur.
