Next Level Soul with Alex Ferrari: A Spirituality & Personal Growth Podcast
Natalie Sudman was born in Montana and raised in Minnesota. She worked for sixteen years worked as an archaeologist in the western U.S. In 2006 was hired by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to administer construction contracts in Iraq. In 2007 a vehicle she was traveling in was hit by a roadside bomb. Her book Application of Impossible Things details her experience with that incident.About the Book: This is an amazing true story of a female civilian employee of the Army Corps of Engineers in Basrah and Nasiriyah, Iraq. She was riding in a truck with other men when a roadside bomb destroyed the vehicle. Her body was so severely damaged that there was no possible way she could live. She vividly recounts her Near Death Experience (NDE) when she went out of the body to the spirit world. There it was decided that her work on Earth was not done, and with the help of spirit guides, they repaired the body so she could reenter it. She retained the conscious memory of what happened, and more details returned during her time in the hospital. This is an amazing story of survival in wartime conditions. This has happened to many others in Iraq, but how many remember the spiritual side of the experience? Before this experience, Sudman was dubious about anything that smacked of the paranormal. This experience made her a believer. She shares her story here for the first time to demonstrate that the paranormal is normal and to assist others who have had similar experiences. This book is for anyone interested in near death experiences and out-of-body experiences. It is one of the first such books to come out of the Iraq conflict. Please enjoy my conversation with Natalie Sudman.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/next-level-soul-podcast-with-alex-ferrari--4858435/support.

Through the power of belief in ourselves and faith in a higher power, we too can overcome the seemingly insurmountable challenges that stand in our way. Tune in to this episode of Goal Camp to learn how you can harness the power of belief and faith to achieve your own goals and conquer your own Goliaths.

Hi and welcome to your week - and to your inspiring quick dose of Monday Motivation
Not only is she STEAMsational, she's the force behind Sonsational Creations! Explore the intersection of creativity and STEM with Sonja Howard! Learn about the journey of this autistic young artist into a world of crafting fantastical creatures. I first met Sonja in the studios of Wētā Workshop in New Zealand, where she was painstakingly crafting a new hatch of Floofs! I was immediately captivated by her "villain origin story" and knew I had to share her magic with you. Join us on an episode that explores the intersection of STEM and art on a quest for creating impossible things.Sonja grew up in the Australian rainforest where her imagination was set alight by the weird and wonderful creatures around her. As an autistic child, she was intensely passionate about her interests and relentless in her curiosity. This led to many adventures - and a few misadventures. Thankfully, she was encouraged by local artists and her family to follow this curiosity. Soon enough, she was creating her own weird and wonderful creatures. Sonja began selling her artwork at age eight at the local markets, and had her work first exhibited in local galleries during high school. Before long, she had opened an online store. Her creatures have landed all over the world, and are featured in places like Wētā Workshop Unleashed. In 2020, Sonja moved to New Zealand. As well as creating her own artwork, she is an artist in the NZ film industry working on various productions. Her debut solo exhibition, Impossible Things, launched in January 2022. She is currently working as a stage artist at Wētā Workshop.Sonja is passionate about the environment, and queer and disability advocacy. Through her work, she hopes to promote a more sustainable and equitable society. Her exhibitions prioritise physical and sensory accessibility. As well as being autistic, Sonja has synesthesia (a condition where her brain interprets sounds, letters, and numbers as colours.) These differences have helped her throughout her life, allowing her to look at the world in different ways, and driving her passion for creativity and equality. Please welcome back to the show Mr. Si Hart (@Si_Hart) as we travel back into antiquity and explore The Myth Makers. But first, in a conversation recorded two days before the premiere of The Giggle, we predict what might happen in Doctor Who's latest episode. Spoiler alert, one of us is very, very right, and the other one of us (me) is very, very wrong. Check out Si's new solo podcast, The Library of Impossible Things. And joining me to break down The Giggle seconds after it ended, please welcome back my teen daughter Callie, who has lots of Thoughts about Fourteen and Donna, and all our other Who pals. “Wonder is the root of love, the lack of wonder is the root of violence.” Is there a way to create boundaries with someone who wishes to cause harm? Can you love them and hold them accountable? Do you have to fight for a just world for everyone? Valarie Kaur is no stranger to violence. As a Sikh, as a woman, as a person of color, violence has shaped both her activism and her deep sense of community care. Her Revolutionary Love Project is the blueprint for organizers, activists, and really - anyone in love with the world and what it could be. This week, the activist, and best-selling author of See No Stranger joins me to talk about love, action, and the power of wonder in the face of impossible things. We cover activism, wonder, horror, grief, acts of violence, acts of justice, parenting in an age of rampant school violence, healing family wounds, building true community - and why fighting for love and pleasure is always going to be more sustainable than fighting against hate. “I spent the last 20 years organizing my life around hate and I want to spend the next 20 years organizing around love. The pain of the world is the pain of the world, regardless.” - Valarie Kaur * One brief content note, Valarie's neighborhood had some construction going on, so there's more background noise in this episode than usual. Listen for the goodness, though - it's all around you. In this episode we cover: How do you continue to work on behalf of EVERYONE for a more just and beautiful world, when some of those people cause great harm? Getting outside of unbearable pain so you can survive Do you have to suffer in order to be of service? Being an activist for the long haul “Squad care” and what it means for activists and anyone alive in the world What do you want future generations to inherit from your time here? When Mike Smith puts his mind to solving a problem, nothing can get in his way! To turn Rabble Mill into the youth-focused, life-changing organization that it is today, Mike had to do some seemingly impossible things. In this episode, he shares the story of his journey of “proudly serving the misfits.” About Mike Smith:Mike is on a mission to end generational poverty one young person at a time through motivational speaking, consulting, his career education platform (Find Your Grind, and his non-profit organization, Rabble Mill. He works with young people from all walks of life, encouraging them to pursue their passions and live out their dreams. Episode highlights: Being an entrepreneur requires making sacrifices; there is no such thing as overnight success. If you really believe in your mission, you may have to give up certain things, but the feeling of fulfillment that you get from achieving your goals will be worth it. (15:30) When you find a problem that you want to solve, work incrementally towards your big-picture goals. (22:40) Don't say yes to things that don't align with your purpose. When you understand what drives you, you will be a much more effective entrepreneur. (33:03) You will go through many different stages during your entrepreneurial journey. Embrace seasons of growth as openly as your embrace seasons of reflecting. Slowing down is sometimes the key to speeding up in the long term. (37:02) KPIs aren't the only way to measure success; Mike prefers to use Significant Moments of Impact (SMIs). Figure out what strategy works best for you in terms of what you are trying to achieve. (48:37) Mike's best advice for entrepreneurs:“Find a problem you are really excited to solve for the rest of your life. Once you solve that problem, find another variation or go duplicate that solution.” (22:40) Connect with Mike: LinkedIn Twitter Website Follow Beyond 8 Figures: LinkedIn Twitter Website
