GAMBLING NEWS | CASINO SHOOTING, BITCOIN NEWS & PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT WINNERS | Recently, the biggest winner on the Las Vegas Strip came all the way from Alaska. A $2.1 million jackpot at The Cosmopolitan made it well worth the trip. With just $40 invested, that lucky slot player hit it big on a Monopoly Millionaire progressive slot. The downtown area of Las Vegas was hot as well. One player walked away with a $1.2 million jackpot playing a Buffalo Grand progressive slot at D Las Vegas. Over at Circa Las Vegas, another player took home $99,656 after winning the jackpot on a Dollar Storm slot machine. All three wins closed out the month of April. The expansion of nightlife in the metaverse continues. Virtual experiences are becoming the “new norm.” One of those experiences involves virtual casino games. Decentral Games has recently entered that space with its Atari-branded casino. Land is purchased in virtual worlds which allow digital businesses the space to operate. To help celebrate the opening of the Atari casino, DJ Dillon Francis did a live set. This reached more than 3500 attendees worldwide. Another new release is a digital replica of the iconic Amnesia Club. Decentral Games had previously built a number of games for Decentraland on a white label basis. A gunman opened fire on restaurant workers at Duck Creek Kitchen & Bar on Saturday, May 1. Two of the workers died at the scene while a third victim was “seriously wounded.” That person was transported to a Milwaukee hospital for treatment. Police on the scene then shot and killed the suspect. It was also reported that the gunman was targeting someone that was not present at the restaurant. It was unclear as to why he shot the other victims. The restaurant is part of the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center outside of Green Bay. It is connected to the Oneida Casino. Binance has established itself as the biggest exchange in the world for cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. Its next move involves the opening of a marketplace to create, buy and sell NFTs. This is short for nonfungible tokens which are a form of the digital asset. The new market covers everything from virtual works of art to collectables for sports memorabilia such as player cards. Part of the new marketplace would handle high-value auctions and exhibitions. The other part covers day-to-day trading. Current company plans call for a June launch of this new NFT marketplace project. A landing page is up and running for potential partnerships.

Decentral Games is a Decentraland metaverse casino with the end goal of being a full suite VR community and casino. The liquidity 'mining' through playing the games is an interesting token distribution model that I think may prove something worth assimilating in other blockchain gaming projects. 

We return to discuss some of the latest developments happening within Decentraland. This time Decentral Games releases their own Token called $DG. This token will serve as a governance token to decide on where to spend funds decided by the community. The token will also be used to incentivize players to gamble in their casino.
