To round off a fantastic week of techno premieres, we present German techno boss, Denise Rabe's remix of Alexander Kowalski under his DISX3 alias. This comes as part of an outstanding EP on one of our favourite label's, Out Of Place. Denise Rabe and Alexander Kowalski, was always going to be a perfect pairing. Denise has been putting out top-tier 12 inches since 2015, having released on labels such as Arts, Blacklabel Distillery & her own imprint ‘Rabe'. Each record tells a story that's somewhat undecipherable, atmospheric and trippy. Record's that aren't made to be understood but made to feel and her flip of techno stalwart Alexander Kowalski, does just that. Denise Rabe's remix flip's Kowalski's acid fuelled original, into more subtle terrority with a variety of deep, atmospheric, trippy but yet driving sounds with a fantastic breakey feel to it. Crisped atmospheres, creep back and forward through the mix over a throbbing 808 kick. This whole EP is top-tier techno. The Berlin-based @DeniseRabe retuns to her own Rabe-imprint with her signature haunting, fluid and evolving soundscapes. The Frogs Pick the King EP is a four-tracker consisting of two original tracks plus reworks by Orphx and Nur Jaber. Monument premieres "Another Day", an eerie and melodic yet dreamy opening track of the release. The Frogs Pick the King EP is out on September 21st.

Episode - 108 Denise Rabe in the mix.   [No Traklist] -- Born in the 80s in a small German town by Bielefeld, the young Denise Rabe started mixing, scratching, and beat juggling Hip Hop at the tender age of sixteen. Her journey into sound led to experiments with Drum & Bass and a move to Berlin (2011) after taking time off to earn her degree in fashion design. Soon after, Denise assumed the moniker "ichundfred" and put together a mix tape which helped her score her first Berlin gigs. This deep house project gained acclaim and took her all over Germany, from Kassel to Frankfurt and perked the ears of Tel Aviv label and party crew Legotek, who took her in as family in 2012. It was no time at all before Denise was playing venues such as Berlin's legendary Tresor. Rabe has dipped her hands in many projects, from hosting a show on Berlin's infamous Sweatlodge Radio to handling bookings at Berlin's open-air venue [Ipse]. Since February 2015 she is hosting an event, HIDE and SEEK, with well selected Techno heads. This rich, diverse range of experience has all influenced Denise in a grand way, ultimately leading to production sessions in the studio. Her debut release on Mutewax in July was the first step. Together with Mutecell, Pascal Roeder and Chad Kaska. Her big success with her debut EP "Penumbra" on ARTS Records incl. Rrose Remix, got her the first place on the Decks charts.
