Nadia Struiwigh is a producer, live artist, DJ and resident of Tresor. Her music spans ambient, electro and techno and has been featured on labels like Nous'klaer Audio, Dekmantel and Central Processing Unit. In 2024 she founded the label Distorted Waves focussing on hardware-centered, more experimental works. Her DJ sets explore driving and psychedelic techno, while also delving into deeper sounds, while her live sets are known for their unique sonic improvisation. “An ode to the sounds and storytelling I'll continue to explore from here on out. After the pandemic, I felt a bit unmoored. Spending time in Australia distanced me from the European scene, and I found myself feeling quite lost. Once I returned, I initially focused on Techno, but soon realized my true foundation has always been experimental music and narrative-driven performances—whether in my own productions, live sets, or DJ sets. I'm grateful to have rediscovered my creative center, and I'm excited to share this next chapter. I'm fully back, with more jungle and ambient experimental releases on the way! Thanks for your support, love always x ” Follow https://soundcloud.com/nadiastruiwigh https://www.instagram.com/nadiastruiwigh https://www.facebook.com/NadiaStruiwigh/

For episode 18, I had the pleasure to chat with none other than "Berlin's Queen of House" Cinthie ( @cinthie6025 ). We talked about her early DJ years and how they compare to today's club experiences, women in production and how to sustain longevity in the (electronic) music scene. German producer, DJ, label and record store owner Cinthie has become one of the most sought-after artists in the contemporary electronic scene. The last decade has seen her become an unstoppable force who has a touring schedule that takes her across the globe to perform at leading clubs and festivals across Europe, Asia, the Americas and beyond.Cinthie's knowledge of house music's foundations is second to none, as reflected by the vast vinyl collection she has been building since 1995. Her DJ sets cleverly join the dots between the past and the present and plot lines between the swing of New York, the rawness of Chicago and the energy of Berlin. They're stripped back and emotive, whether deep or vocal, and always married to an irresistible groove. In the studio, Cinthie has mastered the art of making maximum impact from bare musical essentials. For more than 20 years her timeless house sounds have come on labels like Heist, Aus Music and her own 803 Crystal Grooves, and in 2020 gave rise to her adventurous and accomplished debut album Skylines - City Lights. Cinthie's DJ-kicks mix in 2022 was another high-water mark. It's a revered series that had a big impact on her in the nineties, and her own entry is one of house music's best. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/dancetothemusic/support
Punk house and techno from a modern Midwest icon. Every DJ has their own genesis story: a pivotal sound, a formative scene, a defining philosophy. Kiernan Laveaux is no different, yet her philosophy, rooted in psychedelia and experimentation, stands completely apart from her peers. Inspired by Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, and New Order, she came of age in Cleveland's acid house and queer party scenes, developing an ethos that constantly pushes dance music's limits. Her DJ style is scrambled (in the best way), with zany tricks like scratching, creative EQing and modulation. This approach reflects the Midwest's DIY tradition, where artists thrive in isolation and cultivate a radical disobedience, as seen in contemporaries like Eris Drew and ADAB. As Laveaux recounted in a 2023 interview with GROOVE Magazin, "Titonton Duvante once told me that being a Midwest DJ is about playing music from anywhere and making it sound like a piece of your spirit." Spanning two-and-a-half hours, Laveaux's RA Podcast showcases this spirit. It's a testament to her decade-long career, blending tracks from friends and cherished memories into a transcendent mix. It's "music to shake your hips to and decalcify your pineal gland." (For the curious, the pineal gland helps regulate your circadian rhythm.) RA.963 will make you dance and think in equal measure—a beautiful, restless and resolutely wicked journey through a singular imagination. @kiernan-laveaux Read more at ra.co/podcast/963

Send us a textIn this episode of Breakfast with Tiffany Show, host Tiffany Rossdale and her fabulous co-host, Maki Gingoyon, take listeners on a wild journey through one of her most memorable experiences in Los Angeles. After arriving in LA on a long-haul flight, Tiffany found herself in a chaotic and surreal situation when she was invited to DJ at a mansion party in the heart of Beverly Hills. The party, hosted by a wealthy individual, was far from the glamorous event she expected. Instead, she was faced with an environment teeming with loud music, excessive partying, and people engaging in reckless behavior. Despite the allure of the Beverly Hills address, the scene was filled with unfamiliar faces, unpredictable energy, and moments that left her feeling unsafe and uneasy. As the night progressed, Tiffany recalls navigating through the overwhelming experience, from witnessing questionable interactions to dealing with her own sense of discomfort. She paints a vivid picture of the extravagant yet hollow nature of such parties, where luxury often masks underlying issues of excess and indulgence. In an unfamiliar place, with nowhere to retreat to, Tiffany reflects on the moments where she had to rely on her instincts to stay grounded amidst the chaos. It wasn't just about the party or the celebrity-filled atmosphere but more about how easily one can be swept into situations that test their boundaries and values.Throughout the episode, Tiffany also explores the contrasts between her former party-filled life and the mindful, balanced path she follows today as a transformational lifestyle coach. She delves into the lessons she learned from that night, from recognizing the importance of self-care to understanding the power of saying “no” in environments that don't align with your values. For Tiffany, this experience marked a turning point in her life, offering her a chance to reflect on what really matters: inner peace, authenticity, and self-preservation. Her DJ career opened doors to glamorous yet chaotic experiences, but it also gave her valuable insights into the importance of personal boundaries.By sharing her story, Tiffany hopes to inspire listeners to be mindful of the environments they immerse themselves in, and to always prioritize their well-being over the temptation of fast-paced, hedonistic lifestyles. She encourages listeners to remember that even in moments of discomfort or danger, there is always an opportunity for growth and transformation. This episode is not just about a wild night in Beverly Hills; it's about learning to navigate life with clarity, confidence, and the courage to choose better for yourself.---Maki's Website: https://makigingoyon.com/ Support the showBreakfast With Tiffany Show Official Facebook Page ~ https://www.facebook.com/breakfastwithtiffanyshow Tiffany's Instagram Account ~ https://www.instagram.com/tiffanyrossdaleofficial/ For coaching sessions & programs with Tiffany, check out her official page ~ https://www.tiffanyrossdale.com Breakfast With Tiffany Show Youtube Channel ~ https://bit.ly/3vIVzhE Breakfast With Tiffany Show Official Page ~ https://www.tiffanyrossdale.com/podcast For questions, requests, collaborations and comments, feel free to reach us via our e-mail ~ breakfastwithtiffanyshow@outlook.com

In 2022 she has regularly presented BBC 6 Music live coverage of festivals at Glastonbury and Cardiff. At the end of the summer she curated the 6 Music stage for London festival ‘All Points East'. Her DJ style is a synthesis of Drexciyan and Underground Resistance-inspired selections, intercut with a variety of forward thinking UK techno such as Bola and Lego Feet. Forever evolving a fully live hardware show, AFRODEUTSCHE debuted it at the opening of CTM Festival at Berghain in February 2020, integrating classical piano and hardware along with visuals. https://linktr.ee/afrodeutscheCaro C BiogCaro C is an artist, engineer and teacher specialising in electronic music. In the music video for her new single with Manni Dee, Manuka Honey embarks on a money heist, robbing a venue with a comically tiny Louis Vuitton bag. Wearing a barely-there outfit, her cutesy goth girl demeanour and memeworthy one-liners capture many facets of modern-day pop culture. Whether through her music, fashion or astrology practice, the artist, born Marissa Malik, speaks to a large demographic of fans. Her sound is a composite of club genres from across the globe—everything from baile funk to gqom to pop edits. She he describes herself as an "unhinged, hostile girl" and is known for unfettered self-expression. "When you come to my sets, often, my tit will accidentally fall out or I'll step on the decks," she once told RA. Malik brings a sort of sensual chaos to the dance floor. Her DJ sets and productions are rooted in hot and humid rhythms that often distort into acrobatic shapes or blend into one another in a maximalist approach. Last year's Machete / 777 for Club Romantico combined elements of reggaeton with ballroom, while one Boiler Room show last year went from Waka Flocka's "No Hands" to new-school guaracha banger "Calentura Vaginal" (which translates to "vaginal heat"). She's dedicated to supporting the worldwide Latin diaspora through her music, which heavily skews towards regional styles like guaracha and raptor house, as well as with her collective and party SUZIO. Malik's many influences shine on her RA Podcast. Moving from dancehall to Afro house to bassy dembow, the hour-long high-intensity workout captures her core sound palette. It's energetic, steamy and a little disorienting—just how she likes it. @manuka_honey Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/921

Hello everyone and welcome back! This is the 50th episode of the series if you can believe it, and joining me this month is none other than Francesca Faccilongo, also known as @PaquitaGordon. When I created the series in 2017, it was just a small idea I came up with and pitched to some friends before starting out with literally zero idea what I was doing, aside from that I wanted to tell stories in a different way. Although I'm not a music maker myself, I've always been passionate about music and creativity, and it's been such an incredible experience to meet so many like-minded artists, to hear their stories of triumph and failure, to dig into their creativity and artistry… And of course to share that all with you. To celebrate, my very talented friend and designer Grant Gibson has created two different AIR Podcast 50th episode t-shirts, which will be sold through Everpress, here https://everpress.com/air-50th-episode-t-shirt and here https://everpress.com/air-50th-episode-bubble-t Thanks again so much for your support, I've got some really amazing episodes coming up for 2023 and am looking forward to what's next. I also recently started a Substack newsletter for AIR, where I'll be sharing updates about the series, and also my thoughts and musings on music and my various guests. The first newsletter is out today, you can read my thoughts on making the 50th episode and interviewing Paquita here: https://airpodcast.substack.com/p/50 You can also follow us on Instagram at @_airpodcast or support us on Patreon at patreon.com/airpodcast. Onto today's episode, which features Italian DJ Paquita Gordon, a resident of festivals like Terraforma and Waking Life, and a true musical devotee. A DJ for over a decade now, she's spent time in London, Mallorca, and Sicily, bringing with her a deep love of music, creativity, and nature. Her mixes are meticulous and thoughtful, with each record well-researched and purposefully chosen. Her DJ sets are storytelling in its truest form, and playing out, for Paquita, is the best part of her job. Her site-specific performance project Il Vulcano invites artists to join in her in different Mediterranean regions for a jam session that is recorded, but never shared. Her goal as an artist is always to form links, whether that's through sound, through art, through nature, or beyond, she is always seeking connectivity rather than publicity. She finds joy in the making of things, rather than solely in the end result. In this conversation, we explore her creativity, and the musical and artistic connections that make up a life spent loving music. ++ Music: Paquita Gordon - STE54 Paquita Gordon - Various recordings from Il Vulcano
