The label's sound embraces the realms of hypnotism and explores the fusion between organic soundscapes, experimental and acoustic elements, with the powerful load of techno music, revealing a sonic narrative that flows between the mysticism of ancestral cultures and the spiritual power of nature. My set for the Swamp Squad Vol. 5 raid train, streamed 2021-11-04 on Twitch https://twitch.tv/Quinquatrus We play techno, deep and dark, with a focus on swampy, natural, atmospheric samples. Subdued metallic cling-clangs, low drones & thick, trippy, murky textures. Swamp is grounded, visceral techno. We do not rocket to outer space; we travel by airboat. Between airboat rides we remain firmly planted with our feet sunken in at least 2 feet of water. Sometimes we lie back in the water and float. The water is warm. There are gators. Most of the time there is a sense of dread or forboding, but sometimes it's soothing and comfortable. Occasionally we find toads to lick and it becomes hypnotic and slightly psychedelic; like staring into a witch's cauldron, slowly spiralling and bubbling a viscous potion. Tracklist: 01. From the dangerous part of the city of Montevideo, Uruguay in the late ’90s, William started his journey in music at the early age of 11 helping programming music and DJing for a pirate radio station. Since that moment, he never stopped to define his own style and taste of music while improving his technical skills. In 2009 he started to release his own productions under different monikers, releasing several works in digital and physical format. In 2017 things changed when the decision was made to focus exclusively on his new project called William Arist and also the launch of his own record label Perseverancia Records. Von Bayern nach Berlin. Vor einigen Jahren verschlug es Holger Nielson und deKai in die Techno-Hochburg Berlin, wo sie nun zu Hause sind und mit ihrem Label Ragnarøk erfolgreich Fuß gefasst haben. Wir durften die beiden DJs auf der diesjährigen DME Berlin kennenlernen und hatten ein super interessantes Gespräch. Wir unterhalten uns nicht nur über die Techno-Kultur in Berlin oder über die Gründung von Ragnarøk, auch über Holgers Alter Ego ‚Holgi Star‘, wird ein bisschen gequatscht. Natürlich erfahrt ihr auch wie sich die beiden Künstler kennengelernt haben und wie es in Zukunft mit ihren Projekten weiter geht. || Wer ist eigentlich Holger Nielson? Holger Nielson, ursprünglich aus Süddeutschland stammend, begann seine DJ-Karriere in den ersten Tagen der aufstrebenden Berliner Techno-Szene. Seitdem ist Berlin sein Zuhause und seine Hauptstütze, während er diese zu Clubresidenzen, Plattenfirmen und darüber hinaus ausbaute. Zusammen mit seinem DJ-Kollegen Dekai gründeten sie das Techno-Label Ragnarøk, um Techno in einem dunklen Stil, aber mit einer Dance-Attitüde zu servieren. Ragnarøk wurde gut aufgenommen, was zu großen Label-Nächten sowohl in Berlin als auch im übrigen Deutschland führte. Neben diesem Projekt leitet Holger mit seinem alten Partner DJ Emerson (CLR) auch das Label und die Agentur District4, ein Projekt, das eine andere Seite des Techno zeigt, mit Acts wie Thomas Hoffknecht, Aleja Sanchez und Deas, um nur einige zu nennen. || Der ist eigentlich deKai? Der Weg zum DJ war für Kai aus Süddeutschland geebnet, als er 2004 den OM-Club in Madrid besuchte. Er sah, wie der DJ in der Lage war, eine Stimmung aufzubauen und mit der Menge zu spielen. Da ihn sein altes Leben mit seinen Freunden, die bereits an Arbeit und Familie gebunden waren, langweilte, wurde er deKai. Seit 2011 ist er bei Kiddaz FM unter Vertrag, und 2014 gründete er mit Holgi Star sein eigenes Label RAGNARØK. The Signums de Caelo EP's vinyl version comes with two original tracks by Sanchez and remixes by Von Grall and AWB whereas the digital version includes two more tracks. Monument premieres the original version of track "Octans" from the release that is out on November 19th.

The Mexican producer Dig-It (@digitdgt) releases an EP with a fellow Mexican label @Illegal-Alien-Records. The release consist of five tracks, Monument's premiere track "Boson de Gauge" also getting remixed by Aleja Sanchez. The Cuanto Quanto EP is out on October 22nd.

The Italian producer Surt (@Iam-Surt) releases an EP with Colombian @NorthallsenRecords. The Flumen EP consists of five tracks, the last one being a remix by the label boss Aleja Sanchez herself. Monument premieres track Tiber, a beautiful example of the captivating soundscapes of the release. The EP is out on October 8th.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Aleja Sanchez has been active in the techno scene since 2007. A mental and deep but forceful sound combined with a natural penchant for experimental and diverse soundscapes with raw lines have laid the foundations for her to develop a highly unique musical voice into the International techno circuit. This aesthetic applies to her DJ sets and explains why she has been invited to direct the booths in places like Tresor.Berlin (Germany), Stardust (Spain), Razzmatazz (Spain), Perpetum (Czech Republic), Flex (Austria), Sound Deparment (Italy) & Boiler Room. As a producer Aleja Sanchez is not only a regular contributor to Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Planet Rhythm but also a fundamental piece of Illegal Alien Records and the label head of Northallsen Records. With an experimental hypnotic and fused techno and a gentle and melancholic ambient current she reveals her stylized and unique sound.
