Piše Jože Štucin, bereta Bernard Stramič in Maja Moll.

Veronique de Rugy uses a 700-year-old Siena fresco to discuss the virtues of good governance. The artwork illustrates that a flourishing society requires the rule of law and justice. She cautions that modern industrial policies and government cronyism represent the same arbitrary governance the fresco warns against. (16)TUSCANY POSTCARD

Break/Fix Podcast interviews author Jesse Fresco about his pulpy, fast-paced novella Drive Like Hell and the expanding Autumn Frost series, including upcoming sequels Black and Blue (set in Baltimore) and Funland Fury. Fresco discusses his background in the film industry and stagehand work, how writing became his escape, and his inspirations for characters, pacing, and car-centric action while keeping rules like having Autumn drive most of the time and never fire a gun. The conversation also covers his longer, more personal sci-fi novel Skyhawk, inspired by the NES game Captain Skyhawk, his choice of relatable “used future” worldbuilding, and plans for a seven-book arc, plus his self-publishing experience via Ingram-Spark, audiobook plans, and a new AI-themed sci-fi project. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Jesse Fresco's Origins 03:19 Film Industry Burnout & Becoming a Writer 06:21 Who is Autumn Frost? 09:05 Writing Fast Novellas 12:03 Future Books and Villains 13:57 Cars and Chase Craft 20:35 Switching to Skyhawk 24:24 Worldbuilding Choices & Relatable Future Tech 31:18 New AI Film Novel 33:36 Advice For Authors and the Self Publishing Reality 37:24 Audiobook Plans 38:46 Covers, Fonts, and Pricing 40:50 Wrap Up And Credits ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: Visit Our Website Become a VIP at: Patreon Online Magazine: Gran Touring Follow us on Social: Instagram

Ben Fresco has done every job in the ski industry's hardgoods side on his way to his current role as Global Head of Product at Elan Skis. From moving his life from the East Coast to Tahoe and back to the East Coast and now, on a plane traveling the world, Ben's been chasing the perfect turn. And starting out at the legendary Village Ski House, he did over a decade of, not so much ski bumming, learning. Starting in rentals and working his way to the sales floor, to store managing, and really, running the show. Then it was back East to a buyer's role before finding his forever home in Elan. Got some sh!t to say?In this episode, Marko and Steve dive into one of the most frustrating modern dating behaviors: breadcrumbing. You know the type—just enough attention to keep you interested, but never enough to actually go anywhere. The guys break down what breadcrumbing really looks like in action, why people do it (and yes, they call themselves out too), and how to spot the signs before you get too invested. They get into the psychology behind why breadcrumbing is so hard to walk away from, and debate whether it might actually be worse than ghosting. Plus, they unpack the blurred lines between genuine interest and inconsistent communication, and why so many of us keep responding even when we know better. To wrap things up, Marko and Steve tackle the week's Listener Sh!tuation, offering their thoughts and guidance on a real life dilemma from the audience.-Articles:Psychology Today | BreadcrumbingHelp our friends at Fresco's Grand Cantina:Follow them on Instagram: @frescosgrandcantinaDonate on GoFundMe: Help Keep Our Inclusive Astoria Restaurant OpenVisit them:https://welovefrescos.com/Support the showSh!t | Leave us a voicemail with your relationship sh!tuation at (903) POD- SHIT. Al Fresco chops it up with me about his love for Hip-Hop. Fresco blames Chicago rap for the latest wave and change in music. I break it down even better. Fresco says aliens have been living here forever and might be eating humans to survive.... maybe I agree. ANYWAY! CHICAGO HIP-HOP IS BETTER! TAP IN TO HERE THE REST OF THE PODCAST!

It's time for our monthly news roundup where we discuss some of the biggest stories emerging in the art world. On the heels of the first-ever Art Basel Qatar, we will be discussing the Middle Eastern art market and the regional art scenes. Is this simply another fair on the global circuit, or something more structural—an attempt to recalibrate where cultural power sits? We will doing a vibe check on the Ultra-Contemporary art scene's current obsession with Old Masters, art history, and dead artists. As market pressures mount and institutions increasingly turn toward estates and historical figures, we'll ask whether this is a genuine intellectual reckoning or a marketing strategy dressed up as scholarship. Maybe it is both? Finally, we will rove over to Rome, Italy, where where a church fresco featuring an angel that bore a striking resemblance to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was abruptly removed, sparking debate within and well beyond the church about restoration, iconography, and the politics of sacred imagery. We reminisce about the great many botched art restorations of years past. To discuss these topics, Ben Davis and Kate Brown are joined this month by London-based Artnet News editor Margaret Carrigan. Carrigan is the host of our sister podcast, the Art Market Minute, and co-author of our weekly Artnet Pro market newsletter, The Back Room.
