Folge der “Notaufnahme” erklärt sie den Unterschied zwischen sicheren und unsicheren Schwangerschaftsabbrüchen. Sie berichtet, wie Ärzte ohne Grenzen Frauen unterstützt, eine informierte und selbstbestimmte Entscheidung zu treffen – und dies trotz Stigma, Vorverurteilung und schlechtem Zugang zu medizinischer Versorgung. No one ever really talks about how as a woman you go through puberty and then enter your reproductive stage, where if you have the ability to have a child, the physical and emotional changes go well beyond the first 6 weeks post birth. Most commonly in western medicine, we focus on the labour and then the first 6 weeks, but beyond that for the majority, women get left to resume motherhood with little acknowledgment of the biological, hormonal and physical changes that continue to occur to them for years after birthing children. Matrescence is somewhat of a new term that has recently been defined, similarly to adolescence as the physical, psychological and emotional transitions that occur to women for years once they become a mother. In the past the fatigue, the highs and lows, extreme periods, anxiety and so on, all were simmered down to the ripples effects of taking care of your young children. But with the dedicated work of people such as Dr. Oscar Serrallach and Frida Aalgars, it's becoming more commonly understood that far more is happening to you that needs attention and support in the bid to manage the Matrescence stage of life. Dr. Oscar Serrallach is a renowned Doctor that has been a leader in the area of Mothercare for 10 years, writing and publishing world renowned book “The Postnatal Depletion Cure” in a bid to guide women through this previously ignored stage. Frida Aalgars was an established corporate calving out an impressive career for herself but once having children suffered sleep deprivation and burnout, which led her to be a patient of Dr. Serrallach, and in-turn making wholesale changes to assist in living a more balanced and holistic life to manage being a woman who is also a mother, in this new era of parenting, navigating parenting and life, and everything in between. Thompson) Growing up in Oakland, California, Jackie Thompson didn't know that sociologists were referring to her neighbourhood as “The Killing Zone”—a part of the city with the highest concentration of homicides. Now, as senior pastor of Allen Temple Baptist Church, the Rev. Dr. Jacqueline A. Thompson continues to serve the Oakland community throughout its ups and downs, offering a Jesus-centred vision of justice and hope, present to the pain and suffering of the city. In this episode Thompson joins Mark Labberton for a discussion of her local pastoral ministry in Oakland, California. Thompson is an inspiring example of what God can do with a life committed to the call. She currently serves as the beloved senior pastor of the Allen Temple Baptist Church in her native Oakland, California. Her 2019 election made history nationwide as the first woman called to serve as senior pastor of this historic African American Baptist Church founded in 1919. Before being called in this capacity, Thompson served as the assistant pastor at Allen Temple and as youth minister at Shiloh Baptist Church of Washington, DC, the first woman to serve in both capacities. Committed to excellence in scholarship, Thompson received her bachelor of arts in political economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master of divinity from Howard University School of Divinity in Washington, DC. While at Howard, she received the Nannie Helen Burroughs Award for Academic Excellence and the Henry G. Maynard Award for Excellence in Preaching and Ministry. Believing in the importance of both orthodoxy and orthopraxy, Thompson continued her studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, where she was awarded the doctor of ministry degree in African American church leadership. She is a member of the NAACP and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Her activism and leadership have been recognized by various chapters honouring her with the Community Excellence Award and as Distinguished Woman of the Year. Among other honours, Thompson has been inducted into the distinguished Morehouse College Martin Luther King Jr. Board of Preachers. Thompson is a gifted preacher, administrator, and published author travelling and ministering extensively nationally and internationally, often in arenas previously unchartered by women. In addition, she has been called on by local and national print and electronic media as an opinion leader to offer perspective and hope amid the pressing issues of the day. She is currently on the teaching staff of the Berkeley School of Theology in the area of public theology and preaching. Mimoriadnu situáciu z dôvodu poškodenia domov počas zemetrasenia vyhlásili v celom Prešovskom kraji a aj v obciach Ďapalovce v okrese Vranov nad Topľou, kde bolo samotné epicentrum zemetrasenia a v susednej obci Holčíkovce vzdialenej osem kilometrov.
