She is highlighting the perks that make taking a trip memorable, exciting, and full of adventure. Where work remote is inevitable, she has created a platform where people can stop creating excuses and start living in the now. “Travel has been part of my life since I was very young (I took my first international flight at just six months old!) and it's something I am truly passionate about sharing with others. My mom built her career as a travel agent and my dad traveled three weeks out of the month for work so you could say travel is truly in my DNA. I love exploring new places but always hated wasting hours researching and never being able to find recommendations for the types of things I wanted to do, from people I could relate to. This week's episode is featuring Sophie Gray, founder of DiveThru!Sophie Gray is the founder of DiveThru, a mental wellness company that helps you DiveThru what you go thru. They work with mental health professionals to create resources that help you to take charge of your mental wellbeing.Sophie shares her work with an audience of over 400,000 through her personal social channels. Her work has been featured in Cosmopolitan, People, Women's Health, Refinery29, Marie Claire, Yahoo, Shape, Self, and many more.Sophie had built an audience of over 500,000 people through her social channels where she regularly talked about physical wellness. In reality? Her mental health was struggling. She was continually pretending to be fine when she was, in fact, very much not fine.Flash forward, Sophie was traveling for work, and her mental health had had enough. Upon boarding a connecting flight, her body and mind revolted and threw her into a full on panic attack. The end result? A 38 hour drive home… 3200 kilometers to be exact. After arriving home from her cross country drive, she realized she could no longer pretend things were fine and embarked on a journey that involved a whole lot of crying, journaling, therapy and self-realizations.After finding stable ground, Sophie began sharing her experience with her audience. She was both comforted and upset to learn that so many people felt the same as she did. She also realized quickly that there wasn't a place where people could discuss their experiences and learn about themselves at the same time. Additionally, she saw that mental health support often came (and continues to come) with a high price tag or academic terminology that gets in the way of accessing help.Because of this and a desire to prevent others from feeling like they were going to shit their pants and throw up at the same time, Sophie began building DiveThru. We talk about: - Transitioning from the fitness industry to the mental health field - Going from a solopreneur to building a team with DiveThru- Advice for anyone struggling with mental health right now- Challenges she's overcome and fundraising through the pandemic - Dealing with self-doubt as a business owner - How she takes care of her mental health while running a business & advice for other entrepreneurs And much more!Sophie also answers some listener questions and a quick rapid-fire question round!
