In this episode, Martin and Jahed sit down with Dr. Shaun Conway of IXO Protocol, to talk about the future of measuring, verifying, and delivering social impact with new mechanisms and designs enabled by blockchains. In the conversation, Dr. Conway leads us through his history working as a medical doctor, then transitioning to HIV / AIDS impact projects in his native South Africa, to working with the WHO, UNICEF, and other NGOs on policy measures. This experience led him to conceive of an impact marketplace long before the current ReFi space brought together off-chain impact with on-chain data. We cover the possibilities for better incentive design, governance structure, and real-life impact measurement through the IXO protocol. This episode will be particularly insightful for those working in NGOs, sustainability and social impact projects, and social impact entrepreneurs. This time our guest is Billy Rennekamp, the grants manager at Interchain Foundation and the founder of Clovers Network. In this episode we discuss ICF’s functions as a vehicle and its role for the greater Cosmos ecosystem. The DLT project we chat about is Clovers Network. We also talk about citizenship in the (not so) distant future, tattoo machines and blockchain DNA. Interchain Foundation is pushing boundaries on distributed networks and organizations. It's mission is to research, develop, and promote open, decentralized, network technologies like Cosmos, that provide greater sovereignty, security, and sustainability to the world’s communities. With the task to participate in research, development, product, community and social good initiatives which align with the vision and mandate, as well as providing funding towards these projects. Their particular interest is the Cosmos Project, which is unique in its maturity, modularity, and the sovereignty it provides to respective networks. SweetTalk Alliance Edition with IXO founder and CEO, Dr. Shaun Conway. IXO is creating a blockchain-based economy at ixo.world for impact investment, allowing anyone to become a stakeholder in projects for sustainable development goals, from environment to education. Jason English interviews Shaun for Sweetbridge. August 2018.
Never miss another interview! Join Devin here: http://bit.ly/joindevin. Read the full Forbes article and watch the interview here: http://bit.ly/2LBBdis. It is only a slight exaggeration to say that impact measurement is something of a holy grail for impact investors with an impact first approach. Shaun Conway is building a new blockchain and tokens to be used in measuring and monetizing impact. There are at least $228 billion of impact investments now under management. Virtually all the investors are looking to measure impact with the same clarity they currently measure financial returns. A variety of helpful tools are already being implemented. Tokenizing impact measurement is a logical and exciting step forward. Read the full Forbes article and watch the interview here: http://bit.ly/2LBBdis. IXO uses blockchain technology to enable anyone to collect, measure, evaluate, value and tokenize verified impact data. Co-Founder Fennie Wang discusses the value and uses of tokenized impact data. She also explains what impact bonds are and how safe of an investment they are. In addition, she shares updates on the IXO Foundation's various projects and investments and how to get involved.
