Pentecost Sunday celebrates the coming of the gift of the Holy Spirit, when the disciples began to preach the Gospel in many tongues and the Church of Christ was born. Yet we often find ourselves echoing the words of the bystanders that same day thousands of years ago: "what does this mean?" Fr. Jeromie Rand explores how the Holy Spirit works among God's people, and how Christians can receive, test, and use spiritual gifts with humility, discernment, and expectancy. Support the show
How do we hold onto faith when faced with suffering? Fr. Jeromie draws from 1 Peter 4 to examine how Christians can endure suffering without denial, despair, or easy answers. Ultimately, this empowers us to walk through suffering with others and find hope in Christ's presence. Support the show
What do you return to when your mind finally grows quiet? In this sermon on John 15, Fr. Jeromie Rand invites us to consider Jesus' invitation to "abide" in Him: to make Christ our dwelling place rather than merely an idea.
