Ever notice that Jesus never spoke in one-size-fits-all ways? He met each person right where they were – the curious, the broken, the proud, and the overlooked. In our lead-up to Easter, we'll step into the real conversations of Jesus and discover what the way He speaks reveals about the heart of God.Message by Rev. Dr. Dave Overholt
Why Jesus Talks So Much About Money may feel uncomfortable—but it's not because He wants something from you. It's because He wants something for you. Many people don't realize they're lost financially until the stress, anxiety, and pressure start shaping every part of life.In this message, we kick off a new series called Unlost by addressing one of the most personal and powerful areas Jesus spoke about: money. You can be confident and still be lost. You can look successful and still be lost. And you can't fully follow Jesus and be lost financially. You'll discover:Why Jesus talks so much about money and the heartHow money quietly competes for control of your lifeWhat it really means to be lost financiallyWhy financial stress impacts relationships, peace, and purposeHow surrender—not shame—is the path to freedomThis isn't about asking for your money. It's about helping you find peace, clarity, and freedom in an area that causes stress for so many people. When you see money the way Jesus sees it, your entire life gets better—and you get better at life.

When we practice our sports, instruments, arts, we become a better baseball player, trumpeter, or artist. However, when we sit with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament we become more like Him, we become saints. Whether you're a new believer or a seasoned disciple, today's message will inspire you to open your mouth, lift your heart, and let Jesus be on your lips—every day. Scripture Focus: John 1:35–51 Key Phrase: “Come and see.” Challenge: Make talking about Jesus normal in your everyday life.
Listen to the FULL episode here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/128901088 Listeners sent us 49 pages of questions and comments—and in this bonus episode, we tackle some of the best. We explore whether Paul's theology rewrote the faith, how James and Paul define “salvation” differently, and why First Timothy might not even be Pauline. We also dive into whether Jesus really talked about hell more than heaven, what “saved through childbearing” could mean, and why Acts and Galatians paint two conflicting timelines of Paul's journey. Other highlights include: Did Paul influence the Gospels? Why doesn't Paul quote Jesus? Is Acts trying to legitimize Paul? What even is Gehenna, and should we rethink hell? Where do Nate and Shelby land with their own faith? Plus, an honest conversation about community, politics, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and how to live together with deep differences. Matthew 21:18-22
The short answer to the title's question is, Yes, totally. But it wasn't just about lusty glares. Jesus dared us to pluck out anything within us that objectifies or commodifies another. It's part of his most famous spiel, "the sermon on the mount," which is most clearly presented vision for how his followers should live. Not a set of rules to obey, but a trajectory of faithfulness to enter the flow of: one marked together by gentleness, fidelity, justice, and love. Tune in to the 5th episode of the Season 7's Calibration Series. It's a season dedicated to making the most of 2025. This is your year! This episode is about making the most of the blessings that are already sewn into your timeline. Your Victory has already been written and you're marching toward opportunities and blessings everyday.Your ability to make the most of them is directly related to the way you live your life. Are you positioned to utilize the blessing for propulsion or for another rescue that digs you out of a hole. Surely you are thankful for both but, surely one is better than the other. Its you who chooses where to meet the Father...The God of the Valley is also the God of the mountain. Where will his blessing find you next?
We kick off the year with a message on the importance of reading God's word. To do so, we're encouraged from Hebrews 1 that Jesus truly talks to us as we read his word. Plus, we're challenged from Hebrews 2 about our need to "pay attention" to what we've heard lest we drift from our Savior.
Did Jesus talk about the rapture during his earthly ministry? The majority position in the pretribulational camp thinks that Jesus talked about being taken away to judgment in Matthew 24:36-41. However, some have made arguments to the contrary. They think that it is possible Jesus talked about the rapture in these verses. Phil Cecil talks with Ryan Meyer and Kyle Dunham about these arguments for seeing a pretribulational rapture in Matthew 24:36-41.You can read Dr Meyer's blog posts on the topic here:Does Matthew 24 Describe the Rapture of the Church? Sermon on the Mount E31 – Is it possible to evaluate the behavior of others in a healthy way? Jesus offers two parables that illustrate the wisdom needed to evaluate someone else's behavior. The first parable invites us to examine ourselves before others, and the second parable reminds us the necessary discernment for this happens only in a community of faith. In this episode, Tim and Jon discuss Jesus' teachings on how and when to speak into the lives of others.TimestampsChapter 1: To Judge or Not to Judge (00:00-10:30)Chapter 2: You, Your Brother, and the Speck (10:29-28:17)Chapter 3: Pearls, Pigs, and Dogs (28:17-52:05)Referenced ResourcesCheck out Tim's library here. You can experience our entire library of resources in the BibleProject app, available for Android and iOS.Show MusicOriginal Sermon on the Mount music by Richie KohenBibleProject theme song by TENTS“And that's okay” by Ian Ewing“Saib” by Porto Leone ft. Jesus claims to be the "true" (right and faithful) vine. Not only does he produce in us a different and better kind of life but he also will never let us down. This is very encouraging considering all the empty promises from things and people who can't deliver what we need to live full and fruitful lives. The key is to abide in Christ. It means to remain. To continually remain or stay close to. This message gives us three ways Jesus produces more fruit in our lives and three ways we can continue to remain close to Jesus (Talk by Joshua Ott)

Genesis 1:26-28 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Welcome to Grace in Focus radio. Today, Bob Wilkin and Philippe Sterling are answering a question about how much Jesus talked about hell. Was it actually more than He talked about heaven? Did He use hell as an evangelistic motivation, and therefore should we also? Also, is it okay for Christians to pray imprecatory prayers,
