There is barbarism in Belfast, where these migrants, following the Quran, decapitate the Irish in broad daylight. No woman is safe, as men from Pakistan to Palestine claim it's legal under Sharia Law to rape young non-Muslim girls.  Yet when a noted authority in terrorism testified before Congress about the danger of Sharia Law seeping into America, only some of the Congressmen took the threat seriously enough. Others reflected the general tendency of Americans to remain in denial.

Tyler Cook is a professional GT3 racing driver who has competed in some of the most grueling endurance races on the planet, the 24 Hours of Spa, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, IMSA, and GT World Challenge Europe. He's also been living with type 1 diabetes since he was 11 years old. This episode gets into what it actually looks like to manage blood sugar in a fire suit, in a 130-degree cockpit, at 150 miles per hour, sometimes at 3 a.m. Tyler takes us back to his diagnosis in 2006 — an ICU stay, four IVs, and a very specific grief over the chocolate mousse at Epcot's France pavilion. THE REJECTION-EATING DISORDER CYCLE Maybe you learned early: Only seen when you performed well, when you sucked in your stomach, when you stood up straight. Maybe you took pride in being liked and would do anything to make that happen. Maybe you were: Bullied, left out, abandoned, betrayed. So you overachieved, overworked, over-controlled to make others happy because it gave you false purpose. This created the monster belief: If you're smaller, thinner, faster, stronger—then you're better. Rejection validated your feelings about yourself, diminishing your self-worth. THE "BOO VS. APPLAUSE" TRUTH "A boo is not any louder than applause." If you're on stage with purpose in your heart, knowing your truth, you can hear your own applause louder than the world's boos. But when you hear that boo, you make it mean something about your worth—when it's just someone else's opinion. THE REDIRECTION FORMULA Step 1: Acknowledge the Rejection You must face that it happened, grieve it, target what hurts, and sit with those feelings. Step 2: Change the Meaning What meaning have you allowed rejection to hold over your life? That you're not enough? Not worthy? Pluck out that root. Step 3: Use It as Redirection Turn rejection into your opportunity for course correction—alignment with your truth and values. Step 4: Develop Bounce-Back Power Get good at bouncing back. Rejection isn't fatal—eating disorders are. REJECTION AS GOD'S PROTECTION When you're rejected, overlooked, or feel not enough: Remember: Rejection is actually God's protection over you. If you were meant to knock down that door, it would have opened If that person was meant to stay in your life, they would have They failed to see your worth, but your worth doesn't change Rejection is just a course correction—an opportunity to dig into your power and realign with your truth. THE "SO WHAT?" STRATEGY When you worry about others' judgment in recovery: "What if I fail and my husband thinks I'm a failure?" "What if I succeed and everyone judges my weight restoration?" Start asking: SO WHAT? Are they living in your skin? Are they living your life? Are they experiencing your daily struggle? What others say about you is none of your business. The regret from never moving forward is more painful than rejection itself. EATING DISORDERS THRIVE ON REJECTION EDs are bred from: Fear of failure Not being enough Not being liked Aloneness and isolation But here's the good news: You can use rejection as redirection power. Roy L Hales/ Cortes Currents - At the May 27 SRD Board Meeting, Mayor Kermit Dahl of Campbell River accused Regional Directors Mark Vonesch, Robyn Mawhinney and Gerald Whalley of bullying Regional Director John Rice:     “For example, when Director Rice was outvoted on a development in Area D by three electoral area Directors who wanted to show him, ‘Stay in line or else we'll show you.' They could stop him from succeeding in moving Area D forward.” This is not the first time Campbell River Directors have made this allegation. Directors Rice and Whalley also discussed the matter in the chatter from the opening of this Board Meeting's YouTube video. It is difficult to make out what Director Rice was saying, but Regional Director Whalley clearly states he was supporting Area D's Official Community Plan (OCP): Director Rice: "The point being that ... ( his words were lost in the surrounding noise)." Director Whalley: "Well, I don't agree with that and that's fine." Director Rices's reply is muffled. Director Whalley: “No, we were trying to support your community plan because it included 2 hectares and you had 1 hectare; that was wrong. Then the community plan was revised, and I said, ‘Okay, now it's right,' and now that's history.” It was relatively easy to find the application they were talking about. A search of SRD minutes found 16 applications since February 2023; 15 of these passed the first time through. In all but one of these15 cases, there were no opposing votes. The accusation of 'bullying' arises from the rezoning application associated with Bylaw No. 519, submitted by Peter Zaschke and seven other Area D residents, which was turned down at the October 11, 2023 Board meeting. As it was held in Kyuquot, there is no YouTube recording. This was an electoral-area-only decision and far from the situation Mayor Dahl described. Directors Rice and Vonesch voted for the application, while Mawhinney and Whalley opposed it. When the topic was reintroduced at the November 8, 2023 Board meeting, Director Whalley explained that his opposing vote was cast in support of Area D's Official Community Plan (OCP): "It says, new lots shall have an average minimum lot size of 2.0 hectares. Just that simple. Applicants wanted lot sizes of 1.0 to 1.3 hectares. In my view, that wasn't right."
