They dive into controversial figures like George Santos, Andrew Tate, and even catch live updates from Biden's farewell address. The night takes twists and turns, but one thing remains constant: unfiltered, raw commentary on today's most pressing political and cultural issues.00:00 Welcome to Libservative01:09 Tonight's Agenda and Early Streaming01:55 Breaking News: Gaza Ceasefire02:24 Corey's New Setup03:33 California Fires and Media Reactions10:43 DEI and Public Reactions19:11 Permit Issues and Rebuilding Challenges20:06 Government Cuts and Fire Management21:02 Adam Carolla's Viral Rant35:26 Insurance and Government Failures46:58 Unfortunate Events and COVID Mishaps47:43 George Santos Podcast: A Bizarre Journey50:56 The Furry Culture and Cameo Controversy57:42 Jussie Smollett's Fake Attack: Behind the Scenes01:07:34 Biden's Farewell Address: Reflections and Concerns01:24:27 The Crime Bill and Final Thoughts01:25:20 Reflecting on the Show's Beginnings01:27:08 Debating Hate Crimes Legislation01:35:32 The TikTok Ban and Social Media Giants01:39:14 Andrew Tate Controversy01:57:35 Closing Remarks and Farewell
[SEGMENT 1-1] 1500 Page CR 1 So much to discuss today. I would have discussed this yesterday, but I scheduled one of my sponsors for the show, and I'm glad I did. I hope you get you some Magnesium bioptimizers.com/kjradio Promo code: KJRADIO Monologue: The 1547-Page CRIME Bill Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round because it's storytime with Uncle KJ. Today's tale is a modern tragedy, a comedy of errors, and a crime novel all rolled into one—our illustrious Congress and their latest 1,547-page Continuing Resolution. Or, as I like to call it, the CRIME BILL. You see, Congressman Thomas Massie warned us about this stunt months ago. He said, “Watch out—they're going to pull the old ‘stay over Christmas' trick.” And what did Speaker Mike Johnson promise? “Not on my watch!” Well, guess what, folks? Mike Johnson's watch must be from the Dollar Store, because here we are. Congress stuck it to us again, keeping everyone tied up during the holidays while they passed a monstrosity of a bill faster than a Kardashian's marriage. Now, the big question: Who even wrote this thing? Because the "woke" language in this bill sounds like it came straight out of a Berkeley gender studies seminar, not a legislative office. It's got more pronouns than policies, and if you still believed Republicans had a backbone, this bill will cure you of that delusion. These eunuchs couldn't even protect us from being railroaded into $100 billion of insanity. [SEGMENT 1-2] 1500-page CR 2 What They Get vs. What We Get Let's break it down. Here's what the Left gets:$60 billion to Ukraine—because apparently, Zelensky has a Black Friday wishlist.Unconstitutional powers for the courts to protect Congress—because Congress is so fragile, they need a legal security blanket.Blanket immunity for the Deep State—past crimes, future crimes, no problem!Emergency powers for unconstitutional mandates—because if there's one thing Americans miss, it's being forced into masks and vaccines.Funding for gain-of-function research—because the first round of playing God with viruses worked out so well.Vaccine passports—because, hey, who doesn't want to be tracked like an Amazon package?Twelve new biolabs—I'm sure nothing bad could come from that, right?[SEGMENT 1-3] 1500-page CR 3 Now, what do we get? Hurricane aid. That's it. A pat on the back and a whispered, “Good luck out there!” Biden's Health: The Left's Flip-Flop But wait, before we dive deeper into this legislative crime scene, let's talk about Joe Biden. Remember when the Left insisted those videos of Biden falling asleep mid-sentence and talking like he just woke up from dental surgery were deepfakes? Fast forward to today, and Politico Playbook is singing a new tune: “How could anyone imagine Joe Biden could serve another four years?” Oh, I don't know—maybe because you told us he could four months ago! Now they're admitting, “Time is catching up with Mr. Biden. He looks a little older and slower with each passing day.” Slower? Folks, the man's aging like unrefrigerated milk. By the time 2028 rolls around, they'll be wheeling him into the Oval Office like Hannibal Lecter. Liz Cheney's Drama Class And then there's Liz Cheney. Oh, Liz. Her text messages with Cassidy Hutchinson reveal she was coaching witnesses to change their testimony. That's not a misstep—that's a felony. But does Liz own up to it? Nope. She hops on BlueSky to attack Trump instead, like a cat scratching a brick wall. The Crime of the Century Back to the CRIME BILL. You might be saying, “KJ, there's no crime bill in Congress!” Au contraire, my friends—this Continuing Resolution is a crime against the American people. And let's not forget the sneaky little clause they tried to bury: preventing Americans from accessing their emails. Yes, folks, while they're raiding Trump's home and reading his emails, they're crafting laws to keep their own inboxes safe from scrutiny. Why? Because they know their email chains would make the Biden family's shell companies look like lemonade stands. [SEGMENT 1-4] 1500-page CR 4 The AI Revolution The good news? AI is here to help us dig through this garbage. While Congress hopes we're too distracted with holiday shopping, AI has already gone through the bill and exposed the rot. And guess who's leading the charge against it? Elon Musk. He's tearing into this thing like a constipated honey badger, leaving no clause unscathed. And DOGE—President-elect Trump's new watchdog—is barking loudly. A Call for Accountability Here's an idea: make Congress put their names on the nonsense they recommend for these bills. Want $60 billion to Ukraine? Fine—stamp your name on it so we know who to thank when we're eating ramen because inflation is through the roof. And while we're at it, can we please retire the DEI nonsense and LGBTQ+ pork projects that have no business in a spending bill? Congress spent more time debating gender-neutral bathrooms than they did on hurricane aid. Priorities, people! Closing Thoughts So here we are, folks: a 1,547-page reminder that our government is broken, but our will isn't. Trump's coming back, and you'd better believe he's bringing a bulldozer to clear out this swamp once and for all. Until then, keep your AI tuned, your honey badger ferocity on standby, and your sense of humor intact. Because if we don't laugh, we'll cry—and we've cried enough. Stay strong, America. Trump 2024 is around the corner. Let's clean house. [X] SB – CNN goes after Dick Durbin on the congressional pay raise. [X] SB – Man speaks on Elon staying involved in politics and killing the CR [X] SB – Thomas Massie on spending cuts [X] SB – Speaker Johnson on CR Now, that continuing resolution now in Congress, it is a total, unmitigated disaster. It's hard to fathom after this election that these elected officials, they think that the government, as usual – the swamp as usual – is going to continue. It's not. This would fund the government through March, but at what cost? Raise the debt ceiling. At what cost? Why should Donald Trump have to raise the debt ceiling when it's Joe Biden's problem? Now, this bill is over 1,500 pages. It spends so lavishly on pet projects – let's see, a new bridge in Baltimore along with an additional $100 billion for vague disaster relief programs and another 10 billion in farm subsidies. The resolution also expands the federal bureaucracy, funding a new Office of Telecommunications Spectrum Management and a new National Blockchain Deployment Advisory Committee. The spending bill also gives the state of Maryland a group of National Guard fighter jets. It also transfers ownership of RFK Stadium from the federal government to Washington, D.C. Why are we giving them our stadium? In other words, you paid for it, a hugely valuable asset owned by the American taxpayers. What, given to far-left residents of the D.C. swamp? Musk and DOGE likewise bought into and spread the false claim that the bill earmarked billions of taxpayer dollars to build a new NFL stadium in Washington, D.C., at the site of RFK Stadium. [SEGMENT 1-1] Pardons 1 - Schiff Democrats are jumping ship, running for the hills, scurrying down their rat holes. For a group that acts so holier than thou, they sure seem scared. Welcome… If I haven't done anything wrong, I'm cool as a polar bears butt. Does anybody really believe that Adam Schiff doesn't want a preemptive pardon? That's what he claims, and that's what he said. But he didn't say he doesn't want a pardon—he just doesn't want a preemptive one. That's like saying, “I'm not going to eat the cake right now… but leave it on the counter. Just in case.” [SEGMENT 1-2] Pardons 2 -Schiff Schiff conveniently leaked this morsel during an interview with George Stephanopoulos, another maestro of moral posturing. Stephanopoulos—whose journalistic credibility is rivaled only by his ability to sidestep Clinton-era scandals—asked Schiff if he thought Trump might prosecute members of the Jan. 6 committee. “We don't need pardons because we're proud of our work.” Schiff replied. Oh, really? Proud of the committee's work? Work that included hiding exculpatory evidence, cherry-picking videos, and pushing a narrative so flimsy it makes Biden's staircase skills look stable? Schiff has claimed that pardons set a bad precedent. And well, Shifty can't have his reputation impugned with the specter of a pardon. Who could blame him though for not wanting a pardon from Biden. That's one complete list of scoundrels. Clearly, Shifty wants us to know that he's got principles. He likes his pardon served fresh, not pre-packaged. The Benny Hill Moment Here's where the comedy ramps up. While Schiff was pretending to be the virtuous hero of this melodrama, Rep. Bennie Thompson, the former Jan. 6 committee chair, was busy saying, “Sure, I'd take a preemptive pardon!” He even called it Biden's prerogative. Prerogative? Sure. But the moment you accept a pardon, you're basically hanging a neon “I'm guilty” sign around your neck. This brings us to Adam Kinzinger, Schiff's ex-committee buddy, who once declared, “The only reason I know to ask for a pardon is you think you committed a crime.” [X] SB – Kinzinger on pardons Adam Kinzinger in 2022: “The only reason to ask for a pardon is because you think you've committed a crime.” https://t.co/0R5WDrIu0c — Natalie Winters (@nataliegwinters) https://twitter.com/nataliegwinters/status/1867550759325253899?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Kinzinger's words aged like a room-temperature tuna sandwich. Maybe these two need to get with Bennie Johnson before they lock in their final answers. The Insurrection That Wasn't Let's not forget why Schiff and his crew are squirming in the first place. The Jan. 6 narrative was their crown jewel—a supposed coup attempt that turned out to be more of a Capitol-themed field trip. When the footage finally emerged, it didn't show rampaging hordes. Instead, we watched patriots meandering through the Capital as if it were The Louvre. One guy even stopped to straighten some papers. That's the Left's big insurrection, that they compared to the Civil War and the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. They called Trump treasonous in his non-actions. But speaking of treason, Schiff's team conveniently deleted mountains of data related to their “findings.” How many guesses do you need to understand why? Their accusations against Trump and the protesters wouldn't survive a light breeze, let alone real Department of Justice scrutiny. Schiff's Private Pardon Chat with Biden While Schiff claims he doesn't need a pardon, he spoke with Biden for exactly that reason. The two discussed J6, because Joe Biden is planning to pardon the entire committee. Because they are guilty. Why would Stephanopoulos even broach the subject, if this weren't a reasonable consideration. The January 6 Committee was a total farce. The people selectively chosen. After their kangaroo court investigation, they reported what they were told to report. In truth, they lied about evidence. Then, they buried exonerating footage for years. Now they have their media minions running interference for them. For years, Schiff painted Trump as the villain of democracy. But now, he's the one looking for a legal life raft. The irony is thicker than Hunter Biden's tax evasion file. Nobody believes Schiff doesn't want a pardon. Doublespeak about as convincing as Bill Clinton's wedding vows.[SEGMENT 1-3] Pardons 3 “From Drug Lords to Fraudsters: Biden's Clemency Chaos” Joe Biden's “Clemency Circus”: Pardon Deals for the Devil's Rolodex When Joe Biden issued a record-setting number of clemencies, it wasn't exactly a roll call of reformed citizens who turned their lives around knitting scarves or mentoring troubled youth. Instead, the list reads more like a casting call for the next season of Narcos—drug traffickers, cartel associates, and financial fraudsters were all given an early Christmas gift. If Biden's clemency roster were a party, you'd better wear a bulletproof vest.Biden's “Hall of Shame” Pardons: The Hypocrisy Chronicles Who are they? Various state-level and federal officials involved in bribery, fraud, and general misuse of office. Who are they? Financial criminals who engaged in insider trading or hedge fund mismanagement, causing economic ripples. Francesk Shkambi: The Albanian Cocaine Kingpin- Backstory: Convicted in 2014 for running a criminal enterprise that trafficked massive quantities of cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and Ecstasy across continents. This wasn't a small-time operation; Shkambi was arranging shipments from Mexico to Europe and everywhere in between.- Clemency Twist: Set https://casetext.com/case/united-states-v-shkambi-7 in 2029, Biden decided Shkambi deserved a six-year head start on his freedom.- Irony Meter: Biden promised transparency, yet pardoned a man with international drug-trafficking ties. What's next? Hunter Biden's laptop gets a TV movie deal titled Breaking Dad?- Who are they? Former drug offenders turned advocates for reform who have, in some cases, exploited loopholes to sell unregulated products under “wellness” branding.- Why it's controversial: While their clemency reflects Biden's softer approach to drugs, critics wonder if these gestures are meant to whitewash his role in passing the 1994 Crime Bill.- Irony Meter: Medium. Biden's old slogan was “Tough on crime.” But not if it involves drugs his son uses routinely. Jose Valdez: The Highway Drug Mogul- Backstory: From 2015 to 2016, Valdez coordinated the distribution of large-scale cocaine and marijuana shipments across the U.S., recruiting accomplices like a college frat president recruiting for rush week. Jose Valdez, whose sentence Biden commuted, “coordinated the distribution of large quantities of cocaine and marijuana for a drug-trafficking organization based in El Paso, Texas, from March of 2015 through July of 2016,” per court https://casetext.com/case/valdez-v-united-states-47?q=%2290547-380%22&sort=relevance&p=1&type=case&tab=keyword&jxs=.- Valdez also “recruited numerous individuals to deliver narcotics to cities throughout the United States.” His scheduled release date was previously set for November 2026, according to the BOP.- Clemency Twist: Originally set for release in 2026, Valdez is now free to expand his operations... or maybe start a podcast about his time inside.- Irony Meter: While Democrats rail against the opioid crisis, Biden sets the table for cocaine's unofficial comeback tour.[SEGMENT X-4] Pardons 4 I mentioned a few of the near-do-wells that Biden pardoned… Old Habits Die Hard: The Biden Family Business Parallel Is anyone surprised? The Biden family's social circle looks like a rogues' gallery of bad decisions. Between Hunter's laptop escapades and James Biden's dubious deals, it's as if the Bidens have been preparing for their own Godfather reboot. Biden's pardon pen seems to cater to his brand: shady characters and questionable business ventures. Remember, none of the Biden family ventures turned a profit. Even their “friends” seem to wind up in prison—or worse, working as political consultants. Meera Sach: Diluted Chemo Doctor Biden commuted the prison sentence of Meera Sachdeva, a cancer doctor who gave diluted chemo drugs to patients as part of an $8 million Medicare fraud. But Sachdeva didn't stop there. She also re-used old needles, leading to a lawsuit by a patient who claimed he contracted HIV. The list of scoundrels didn't stop there. Check out this next character. Mark Ciavarella: The Kids-for-Cash Judge The most egregious hypothetical pardon would be Mark Ciavarella, the disgraced Pennsylvania judge who took bribes to send juveniles to for-profit detention centers. While he hasn't received clemency (yet), it wouldn't be a shocker. After all, Biden pardoned individuals convicted of crimes against children. The irony here is thicker than Hunter's laptop encryption. Pardoning him would be like nominating the Kermit Gosnell for a humanitarian award. Irony Meter: Through the roof. A president who talks about “protecting the children” yet opens the gates for their abuser? Jeffrey Epstein is wishing he hadn't hanged himself, huh? Alright, let's put on our comedy hats and dive into Biden's pardon list—it's less "justice" and more like the guest list for a Bernie Madoff TED Talk: "How to Scam Your Way to the Top Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-kevin-jackson-show--2896352/support.

This video essay discusses the Delinquency in a Birth Cohort study(ies) which looked into the causes of recidivism. This essay looks to understand why the causes of recidivism are so important to understand, how that understanding helps us to understand crime as a whole, and why the study(ies) show that our fundamental understanding of crime is flawed. And how does that flaw lead to increased crime. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: On Fables and Nuanced Charts, published by Niko McCarty on September 9, 2024 on LessWrong. Written by Spencer Greenberg & Amber Dawn Ace for Asimov Press. In 1994, the U.S. Congress passed the largest crime bill in U.S. history, called the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act. The bill allocated billions of dollars to build more prisons and hire 100,000 new police officers, among other things. In the years following the bill's passage, violent crime rates in the U.S. dropped drastically, from around 750 offenses per 100,000 people in 1990 to under 400 in 2018. But can we infer, as this chart seems to ask us to, that the bill caused the drop in crime? As it turns out, this chart wasn't put together by sociologists or political scientists who've studied violent crime. Rather, we - a mathematician and a writer - devised it to make a point: Although charts seem to reflect reality, they often convey narratives that are misleading or entirely false. Upon seeing that violent crime dipped after 1990, we looked up major events that happened right around that time - selecting one, the 1994 Crime Bill, and slapping it on the graph. There are other events we could have stuck on the graph just as easily that would likely have invited you to construct a completely different causal story. In other words, the bill and the data in the graph are real, but the story is manufactured. Perhaps the 1994 Crime Bill really did cause the drop in violent crime, or perhaps the causality goes the other way: the spike in violent crime motivated politicians to pass the act in the first place. (Note that the act was passed slightly after the violent crime rate peaked!) Charts are a concise way not only to show data but also to tell a story. Such stories, however, reflect the interpretations of a chart's creators and are often accepted by the viewer without skepticism. As Noah Smith and many others have argued, charts contain hidden assumptions that can drastically change the story they tell. This has important consequences for science, which, in its ideal form, attempts to report findings as objectively as possible. When a single chart can be the explanatory linchpin for years of scientific effort, unveiling a data visualization's hidden assumptions becomes an essential skill for determining what's really true. As physicist Richard Feynman once said: In science, "the first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool."What we mean to say is - don't be fooled by charts. Misleading Charts Bad actors have long used data visualizations to deliberately manipulate and mislead. How to Lie with Statistics, a classic book from 1954, describes tricks that unscrupulous actors use to distort the truth without fabricating results, such as by truncating the y-axis of a chart to make an effect look much larger than it is or by cherry-picking data. Drug companies and special interest groups have employed these techniques for decades to win public support. Merck, for example, was accused of publishing misleading data about the anti-inflammatory drug Vioxx to hide the fact that it could cause heart attacks and strokes, ultimately resulting in a multi-billion dollar settlement. But even when no one is intentionally trying to mislead or manipulate, charts designed to make information clear can still lead to erroneous conclusions. Just consider the U.S. maternal mortality statistics, which seem to show maternal deaths rising from 0.4 deaths per 100,000 women in 2003 to close to 1 per 100,000 in 2020. This graph is worrisome, particularly if you or your partner is pregnant (or expect to be). Why are so many more expectant and new mothers dying? Is there some new danger? The Michigan House of Representatives is set to vote on legislation that supporters say will protect the state's elections from bad actors. House Bill 5551, sponsored by Rep. Noah Arbit, D-West Bloomfield, would amend the Michigan Election Law to prohibit individuals convicted of election-related crimes from serving on the board of state or county canvassers, which certify the election results. Michigan Election Law already prohibits those convicted of election crimes from serving as election inspectors at precincts. (AURN News) - Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump continued his outreach to Black American voters this weekend, holding a roundtable discussion at a Black church in Detroit where he touted his record and took aim at President Joe Biden. Speaking at the 180 Church last weekend, Mr. Trump referenced accomplishments from his term that he claims had a positive impact on the Black community. He also name-dropped Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, whose name has been floated as a potential running mate. However, Trump spent much of his remarks attacking President Biden. "Biden wrote the devastating 1994 Crime Bill talking about 'super predators,'" Trump said. "That was Biden. You know, he walks around now talking about the Black vote. He's the king of the 'super predators.' And he wrote the 1994 crime bill that you talk about so much." Trump also urged attendees not to support Democrats, saying: "So just please remember that when you think you're going to vote Democrat because you shouldn't vote Democrat." The former president also claimed Biden's economic policies have harmed Black families and alleged illegal immigrants are taking jobs from Black workers. "Biden's inflation has caused the typical American family $28,000," he said. "Millions of illegal aliens are pouring in and they're taking your jobs. The black community is being hurt more by the illegal aliens…They're taking your jobs you were…down 6%, 7% from where you were just three years ago with me." The roundtable event comes less than a month after he spent time in the Bronx at a campaign rally reaching out to Black and Hispanic voters. Learn more about your ad choices. The previous holder of the Presidential office, Donald Trump, actively engaged the African American community in Detroit this past Saturday. The intention was to raise awareness about an issue that is still rather controversial after a span of thirty years - Former President Joe Biden's primary role in instigating the highly debated 1994 Crime Bill. Donald Trump, well-known for his direct style of approach, chose the predominantly African American populated 180 Church as the setting for dramatic discussions surrounding this key issue. Timed to correspond with the announcement of a new coalition focused on African American voters, the discussion was designed to be deeply impactful. Trump's central message was hard-hitting and undeniably distressing, focusing on the disturbingly high crime levels pervading the neighbourhoods where his listeners resided. 'Look, it's in locations like this where crime is at its highest, particularly among the African American communities,' Trump asserted during the riveting discussion in Detroit. He continued with a poignant observation, 'Countless individuals approach me, pleading, ‘Mr. President, we yearn for safety. We wish for the security provided by our law enforcement institutions. We have no desire to be victims of theft, physical assault, or subjected to lethal aggression merely because we want to cross the street to buy a simple loaf of bread.''See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On this episode I revisit the infamous "1994 Crime Bill" that Joe Biden was the architect of. Many of us black folks who were against crime within our communities were PRO FOR THIS BILL. The negativity of "Gangsta Rap Music & Culture" had a lot to do with this bill being pass. Ironically the same rappers who didn't want to take #accountability for this bullshit are now endorsing #DonaldTrump & the #MAGA Fragility Movement. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/stephlittunapologetic/message

On this payday, Amber and Erika discuss “Secure DC”, the new crime bill recently enacted in the nation's capital that harkens back to the “tough on crime” approach of the 80s and 90s. Despite history and data overwhelmingly demonstrating that increased policing and carcareal punishment do not reduce crime, we attempt to unpack the reasons why our policy makers constantly revert to this losing strategy. But most importantly, we highlight the anti-Blackness at the core of over-policing and criminal justice policies that ignore the poverty, inequity, and lack of resources that often fuel criminal activity. Press play to get the scoop!
